Why did you not tag me this week? Anyway I'm glad we have the same #1 this week! A bit of a static chart this week especially in the upper regions but that's ok! Hoping for GDFR, Talking Body and Shut Up And Dance to slay! Excellent chart!

Intro: To kick off Week 19 of the 2015 season, "Earned It" by The Weeknd spends a 2nd week at #1, despite a 3 point drop. Also, Ellie Goulding stays at #2, despite a 1 point drop, with "Love Me Like You Do." It spends an 11th week in the top 3 and 5 as well. Going up a spot to crack the top 3 is Walk The Moon's, "Shut Up and Dance," as it gains 5 points.
With the difference between WTM and #2 being one point and the difference between WTM and #1 being 3 points, it is looking like Walk The Moon is in a good position to take the #1 spot next week should it gain as much this week.
Down a spot to #4 and down 3 points is Mark Rowson and Bruno Mars with "Uptown Funk." Although it is out of the top 3 for the first time in 19 weeks, it successfully ties "#thatPOWER" for most weeks in the top 5 with 20. With a 17 point difference between #4 and #5, It is looking up Uptown Funk may indeed shatter the record next week unless someone or a few somebodies come crashing in. I'll tell you about that later...
Staying at #5 is "Somebody" by Natalie La Rose and Jeremih, going up a spot to #6 is Tove Lo with "Talking Body," going up 2 spots to #7 is Nick Jonas with "Chains," going down 2 spots to #8 after peaking at #4 is Ariana Grande's "One Last Time," and reaching a new peak as it goes up a spot to #9 is Flo Rida, Sage The Gemini, and Lookas "GDFR." Reaching the top 10 with a 2 position gain from 12-10 is "Where Are U Now?" by Skrillex and Diplo, featuring Justin Bieber, who makes his first trip to the top 10 since October 2013.
Just below Now, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth debut at #11 with "See You Again," mainly fueled by its Hot 100 jump and my review of it. With the huge gain expected for next week, could this wreck havoc in the top 10 or even top 5 next week? We'll see...
Also, two songs make huge 22 position leaps into the top 20. Vaulting up 37-15 is Fifth Harmony and Kid Ink with "Worth It," and thanks to an encouraging reply from the band for my positive review of their song, Echosmith rockets 41-19 with "Bright."JL44's Top 44 as of 04•10•15 (WK102, Chart #176) TW:LW:PK:WKS01:01:01:11 Earned It by The Weeknd (2nd week at #1) (21) 02:02:01:12 Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding (19) (Spent 4 weeks at #1) 03:04:03:11 Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon (18) 04:03:01:20 Uptown Funk by Mark Rowson ft. Just thought I should let you know that it is Mark Ronson, not Mark Rowson when I saw it in your status update before I thought it was just a typo. No big deal though just letting you know Great chart, would love to see SUAD make it to #1! Also hoping for UF to hang on long enough to get #1 year-end! Would be so cool if it becomes year-end #1 on my chart, your chart, and the Hot 100 {Spoiler} At this point it looks like it is pretty much guaranteed it on two out of the three

Intro: A lot can change in one week. This week? That's exactly what happened. AND... we have a new #1! Let's see who it is......it is Shut Up and Dance! That's right, Walk The Moon takes a 2 position gain to become JL44's 24th #1. To add insult to injury to the rest of the field, it gains 12 points, giving it a 20 point lead over #2. And you'd expect it to be one of the 50 Shades of Gray songs, right? Wrong! Instead, we see a surprise song over at #2: "One Last Time" by Ariana Grande. How is this possible you ask? Well, if you remember correctly, anything can happen and the Hot 100 is responsible for 30% of where these songs go. With the 50 Shades domination coming to a close, it's anybody's game for the top 3 and 5. Anywho... going back to Ariana, who I know josh would be really happy to hear about, she earns her 5th top 2 song in just under a year with "One Last Time" and extends her JL44 record of most songs in the top 3. Closing out the top 3 is The Weeknd's "Earned It," falling 1-3 after reigning 2 weeks.Below the top 3 is Tove Lo who makes her second top 5 appearance here and reaches a new all time high with "Talking Body" as it lifts 6-4. Closing out the top 5 is "Uptown Funk," by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, which has now broken the all time record for most weeks in the top 5 with 21 weeks. Should this fall out of the top 5 next week (and sadly, I truly believe this will happen), I will make a special tribute for this amazing song in addition to next week's chart. And then going up 10-6 is "Where Are U Now?" by Skrillex, Diplo, and Justin Bieber.Falling 2-7 is Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do" and falling 5-8 is Natalie La Rose and Jeremih's "Somebody." Two new songs enter the top 10 this week, the first being Jason Derulo, as he vaults 13-9 with "Want to Want Me." This nets his 3rd top 10 hit in about 15 months. The other song is the song that dethroned UF over on the Hot 100: "See You Again," going up a spot to #10, by Wiz Khalfia and Charlie Puth.Fifth Harmony, Kid Ink, Echosmith, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack all continue to move closer to the top 10 with all of their latest singles: "Worth It" at #13, "Bright" at #14, and "Hey Mama" at #15. Also reaching a new peak is "Post to Be" by Omarion, CB, and Jhene Aiko. The chart's highest debut this week is "You Know You Like It" by Alunageorge ft. Sia returns! And "See You Again" is in the top ten. Great chart. I know! EH's a hard song to predict its future track accurately, but as long as it continues to do well, it'll be on the chart. And I should let you know, this is its 2nd re-entry into the chart. Should it drop out and re-enter again, it'll set a new re-entry record. Thank you KonamIII.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
To all of my followers of the JL44 Top 44... There are two things I just wanna let you know ahead of time about.
First off, a few changes are coming to the chart. Starting with the next chart, which is this Thursday, I will include two new mini charts below the original chart. The first one is a Power Rankings chart that will show you all the strongest 10 songs currently on the JL44 chart for that given week. For example, for Week 20, which was last week's chart, here's what it would have looked like:
POWER RANKINGS: 1. Shut Up and Dance 2. One Last Time 3. Where Are U Now? 4. Talking Body 5. Want to Want Me 6. Hey Mama 7. Bright 8. Post to Be 9. Worth It 10. See You Again
The other chart is a flashback chart, which will show you all what my top 10 consisted of one year ago.
Second, the first annual JL44's All Time countdown will begin April 25, 2015. This will consist of the top 150 songs that have charted here on my chart since the beginning of 2013. Here's the link for you all when it begins: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/148968/jl44s-all-time-chart-2015
Thank you all for your support and for following my chart.

Intro: 2 years of charts complete! Pretty amazing how fast time flies.
Walk The Moon secures a second week at #1 with "Shut Up and Dance," despite a 3 point drop and its lead being sliced by 40%. That is due to another surprise song that is looking to retake the #1 spot. With a 6 point gain, The Weeknd returns to #2 with "Earned It," and it's rebound on the Hot 100 is mainly to thank. Originally, when I was making all the calculations, I pulled the plug on "Earned It" too quickly, but we'll see if it can rebound well enough to have a shot at the #1 spot again.
Reaching the top 3 for the first time ever is Tove Lo with "Talking Body," as it moves up a spot and gains 3 points. Falling two spots, despite a one point gain, is Ariana Grande with "One Last Time," and with a 4 point gain, Skrillex and Diplo reach the top 5 for the first time with "Where Are U Now." Justin Bieber reaches the top 5 as the featured act in WAUN for the first time since September 2013, when #thatPOWER, another song where he was the featured act, dropped out of the top 5 after spending 20 weeks in that area.
Despite no gains, Ellie Goulding still rises back up a spot to #6 with "Love Me Like You Do." Down to #7 we go, and it's "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. After a record 21 weeks in the top 5, the song finally leaves that area as it drops 2 positions. It has also lost the remainder of its points, meaning now, this song's downfall will officially begin any day now. And before that happens, here's a short tribute to this amazing song. I wrote this all myself, enjoy...
'Uptown Funk!' by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Containing elements of disco, boogie, and funk music, this song immediately reminded me of all the great oldies and classics that I used to hear when I was a kid. In fact, I loved it so much, I had it on repeat TWICE in the first week of hearing it. Rarely do I ever repeat a song in a single listening session. Now, this song smashed here on November 28, 2014, with a debut ranking of #5. The following week, it easily soared into the top 3 into the #3 spot. On December 12, 2014, this song's official run began as it soared into the #1 spot. For nine weeks, it reigned supreme on the charts and it looked like for a time, it was going to break all the records in the book, but unfortunately, it did not accomplish just that. In its 12th week on the chart, Ellie Goulding crashed the party and took the summit for 3 weeks straight with LMLYD. But Mark and Bruno weren't willing to give up easily! And they snatched that spot right back from her in its 15th week on the chart. They lasted another 3 weeks on top, but in their 17th week on the chart, their steam had finally run out. With a sad and heavy heart, they had to accept their fate and slowly fall down the chart just like the rest of the greats. But they knew deep down that it wasn't the weeks at the top that mattered, it was the number of points that did. In its 18th week, they handed the summit back to Ellie without a fight and slowly began its decent. They lasted another 3 weeks in the top 5, and today, they learned their song's top 5 success was over. By the time the smoke had cleared, they had spent a 2nd best 12 weeks at #1, a record 18 weeks in the top 3, and a record 21 weeks in the top 5. An impressive resume for a song that truly earned everything it accomplished. Thank you Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for truly and probably the best song I've heard in a LONG time. You will be missed here in the upper ranks.
Well, that was fun. Now let's get back to the chart. Gaining a spot to #8 is "Want to Want Me" by Jason Derulo, also gaining a spot to #9 is "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, and blasting up 22 spots (somehow this is the 3RD TIME this has happened this month) to #10 is "You Know You Like It" by Alunageorge ft. DJ Snake.
Outside the top 10, Fifth Harmony and Kid Ink reach #11 with "Worth It," "Hey Mama" by David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack reaches #13, Andy Grammar cracks the top 20 with "Honey, I'm Good," and Tori Kelly reaches a new peak of #21 with "Nobody Love." Re-entering at #28 (the same position she debuted at with this song) is Carly Rae Jepsen with "I Really Like You," and the highest new entry at #38 is "Raise 'Em Up" by Keith Urban and Eric Church.JL44's Top 44 as of 04•24•15 (WK104, Chart #178)TW:LW:PK:WKS01:01:01:13 Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon (27) (Second week at #1) 02:03:01:13 Earned It by The Weeknd (Spent 2 weeks at #1) (15) 03:04:03:09 Talking Body by Tove Lo (12) 04:02:02:10 One Last Time by Ariana Grande (11) 05:06:05:07 Where Are U Now by Skrillex and Diplo ft. Shut Up and Dance continues to slay and trusty is not complaining one bit. Also, Talking Body getting closer to the top! And love to see Jason and Wiz rising as well! Nice chart!
