Intro: And so this week officially begins Year 3 of the JL44 chart!
For a third week, Walk The Moon is #1 with "Shut Up and Dance." It gains 3 points in the process, now giving it a 14 point lead over #2. Reaching the runner up spot for the first time is Tove Lo, as "Talking Body" climbs 3-2. However, for all of you hoping Tove Lo will reach the summit, forget it. The new talk of the chart is sitting in the #3 spot this week. And his name is Wiz Khalifa. That's right, after debuting just outside the top 10 three weeks ago and barely making progress the ensuing two weeks after, "See You Again" ft. Charlie Puth found the spark this week and it blasts 9-3, picking up 14 points along the way. Will we see a new #1 soon? It's very possible...
Despite the blast, Jack U and JB continue their climb up the chart with "Where Are U Now" as it lifts 5-4. Also, another song is looking to peak high as Alunageorge and DJ Snake zips 10-5 with "You Know You Like It." With a decline in popularity and the huge gains in the top 5 this week, it seals the fate for The Weeknd and his song "Earned It" as it loses all its points and drops out of the top 5 to #6.
Reaching a new peak at #7 is Jason Derulo with "Want to Want Me," falling 4-8 after peaking at #2 is "One Last Time" by Ariana Grande, falling 7-9 after its historic run is "Uptown Funk" and falling 6-10 is Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do."
Elsewhere on this week's chart, staying put at #11 is 5th Harmony with "Worth It," "Hey Mama" reaches #12, "Bright" reaches #13, "Honey, I'm Good" reaches the top 15 for the first time, and "Budapest" reaches a new peak at #16. This week's highest debut at #25 is Little Big Town's "Girl Crush." Intro: A major shakeup in the upper half, the sudden downfall of a rising song, and a chart that will keep you all guessing where each song will go, where they'll stay, and where they'll peak...Welcome to Week 23 of the 2015 season, where Walk The Moon continues to dominate the summit with a 4th week at #1 with "Shut Up and Dance." The song also gains 5 points as it extends its lead over Tove Lo to 20 points, who spends a second week at #2 with "Talking Body," despite a 1 point drop. Entering the top 3 for the second time is DJ Snake as he and Alunageorge zip 2 spots to #3 and gain 8 points with "You Know You Like It." Staying put at #4, although losing 2 points, is Jack U and JB with "Where Are U Now." Now, I know what you're thinking... what about Wiz and Charlie? Well... they dropped two spots this week to #5 with "See You Again." It turns out its surge lasted only a single week, as it loses 10 points. As we move to the lower half of the top 10, Jason Derulo rises up a spot to #6 with "Want to Want Me." Below Derulo, 3 songs finally found their way to the top 10, each by gaining 4 spots. Fifth Harmony finally nabs their first top 10 and Kid Ink nabs his 2nd as "Worth It" rises 11-7; David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack rises 12-8, and Echosmith nabs their second top 10 hit as well as they zip 13-9 with "Bright." Closing out the top 10 is The Weeknd with "Earned It."This week, 6 songs stay put throughout the lower 34 and many are also beginning to face their downfall as the JL44 chart begins to bring in a new group of songs for the upcoming summer season. Yet some songs have found their way back up the chart. The most notable gain this week is Omi, as "Cheerleader" rockets 32-12 up the chart. Elsewhere, Meghan Trainor nears her 3rd top 20 hit as "Dear Future Husband" rises 28-22 and Keith Urban and Eric Church reach the top 30 with "Raise 'Em Up." This week's highest debut comes in at #20, as Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MO enter with "Lean On."JL44's Top 44 as of 05•08•15 (WK106, Chart #180) TW:LW:PK:WKS01:01:01:15 Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon (35) (Fourth week at #1) 02:02:02:11 Talking Body by Tove Lo (15) 03:05:03:04 You Know You Like It by DJ Snake and Alunageorge (13) 04:04:04:09 Where Are U Now by Skrillex and Diplo ft. Intro: A shift in power, songs dropping in groups, and an unexpected powerhouse in the top 10?! Those are the main observations you will see in this week's chart...
Hello folks and welcome to Week 24 of the 2015 season. We are nearing the halfway mark of the 2015 season and it seems like by now, we all know what the #1 song of 2015 will be. We also know anything can happen, and this week's surprise is a shift of power. We see though it doesn't affect our current #1 song, as Walk The Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" continues to dominate the Top 44 with a 1 point gain and a fifth week at #1. Oddly enough, it has a 20 point lead, just like last week, but it's not the same #2 this week. This week, it's DJ Snake and Alunageorge as they rise up a spot to #2 with "You Know You Like It." With the gain, this now marks DJ Snake's highest charting song to date. (TD4W peaked at #3 last year) Not far behind is Jack U (Skrillex and Diplo) and Justin Bieber as they vault up a spot to #3 with "Where Are U Now." With both songs showing no signs of slowing down, this should be an interesting race to see who dethrones WTM... or will someone else do it?
After 2 weeks at #2, Tove Lo drops 2-4 with "Talking Body," and also loses 5 points. However, she shouldn't feel too comfortable in the top 4, for the chart's biggest talk of the week sits at #5. One week after debuting at #20, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MO blast 15 spots into the top 5 with "Lean On." This marks DJ Snake's 3rd top 5 hit and MO's second top 10 as a featured artist. ("Beg For It" was her first top 10 appearance) Sounds like a lot of competition to me in the top 5.
Below the top 5, Jason Derulo stays even at #6 with "Want To Want Me," and Wiz and Charlie take another 2 position drop to #7 with "See You Again." The chart's other top 10 newbie is OMI as he vaults 12-8 with "Cheerleader." Below OMI, 5th Harmony and Kid Ink fall 7-9 with "Worth It" and "Hey Mama" by David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack falls 8-10.
Below the top 10, Andy Grammar rises 15-13 with "Honey, I'm Good," George Ezra rises 16-14 with "Budapest," Meghan Trainor rises 22-18 with "Dear Future Husband," and Elastic Heart by Sia, The Weeknd, and Diplo returns to its peak of #23. This week's highest debut is Pulse's most talked about song these past two weeks: "Pretty Girls" by Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea, and it makes its debut at #17. This week's highest re-entry is Carly Rae Jepsen, as she re-enters for the 2nd time at #38 with "I Really Like You."JL44's Top 44 as of 05•15•15 (WK107, Chart #181) TW:LW:PK:WKS01:01:01:16 Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon (36) (Fifth week at #1) 02:03:02:05 You Know You Like It by DJ Snake and Alunageorge (16) 03:04:03:10 Where Are U Now by Skrillex and Diplo ft. Announcements
For all my followers of the Top 44, here are a few announcements and a preview of what is to come: First off, another milestone worth mentioning... I just became Pulse's 502nd 2x Platinum member yesterday, yay! Continuing to climb my way up the ladder. Second, the Spring tracking period ends on May 29, meaning that the Spring songs tournament is right around the corner! It will begin May 29. Third, I am happy to announce that I will be launching my very first danger zone on May 29! This will consist of my top 50 songs so far this year and unlike other DZs, I'm gonna do this a little different. On May 29 and May 30, I will give you a chance to add your favorite songs from your own personal charts (from this year only please!) to the list. If we get exactly 10 extras or less, we'll begin May 31. If we get more than 10, on May 31, we'll vote on what 10 songs will make the cut and then begin June 1. Fourth, I will begin working my summer job this Friday, so beginning next week for at least the next 3 months, I will be posting the weekly update either every Thursday night or Friday morning. Finally, in a spoiler section, here's a short term chart forecast for those of you who want to see it. As always, thank you all for following! {Chart Forecast} Bad Blood will debut very high for sure, I absolutely LOVE both versions. There's a near 100% chance it'll debut in the top 10, a good chance of it debuting in the top 5, and a possibility of it debuting in the top 3. As for the top 5, YKYLI will either come close to #1 or get it for at least a week, we don't know yet for sure. WAUN will stall, but it isn't done, TB is almost done, Lean On will most likely get stuck eventually, but it isn't gonna be done quickly. Expect TNISY to debut (thank you Capt. Sheeran for encouraging me to listen to it) as well as Fun, Infinity, and LIGLY. surfy Daryl the Beryl Flip H. josh @markg94 Mikey trustypepper Unhinged Zeebz

Intro: Songs sweeping in out of nowhere and... a new #1? Those are your highlights of this week's chart...
So here we are at Week 25, the weekly chart that comes after the BBMA's. And the chart is ablaze with major changes everywhere and new songs! One particular song, in fact, comes crashing in at #1! For the third time in JL44 history, a song has debuted at the summit. And it is none other than Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar's "Bad Blood," the chart's 25th #1. The remix debuts at #1 and takes nearly half of the points with it. This marks T-Swift's 4th consecutive top 10 appearance as well as her 2nd #1 on the chart. With 2 #1's, she now ties Juicy J, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande for 2nd most #1's. (Iggy Azalea leads the way with 3) Kendrick Lamar also earns his first #1 song (and second, had Swimming Pools counted in the pre-chart era)
With the rise of BB, it knocks Walk The Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" down to #2 and knocks out 15 of its points, a huge blow to its once commanding lead on the board. Falling 2-3, but losing only 1 point is DJ Snake and Alunageorge's "You Know You Like It." Could the duo easily return to #2 next week? Very possible...
Also taking a huge hit from the new #1 is Jack U and JB as they fall 3-4 and lose 10 points with "Where Are U Now." The loss is costly, as they face the danger of falling more positions with #5 gaining 2 points this week. Staying put at #5 this week is Major Laser and DJ Snake, featuring MO, with "Lean On."
Thanks to the BBMA's, "Hey Mama" soars 10-6, Tove Lo's "Talking Body" falls 4-7, Jason Derulo's "Want to Want Me" falls 6-8, "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony stays put at #9, and "Cheerleader" by OMI falls 8-10.
Including BB, this week's chart shows 8 debuts as well as 1 re-entry. Starting out at #15 is Nicki Minaj's "The Night is Still Young" and also starting out is #20 is Pitbull and Chris Brown's newest single "Fun." (no, not the band) To kick off JL44's official start of summer, Calvin Harris returns to #44 with "Summer," his 5 week #1 hit from last year.
Also noteworthy this week: Andy Grammar moves up a notch from 13-12 with "Honey, I'm Good," "Slow Motion" by Trey Songz goes up 24-22, and LBT's "Girl Crush" soars 33-23.
NOTE: I'm re-tagging everyone so y'all can see the rest of the weekly update. ;)JL44's Top 44 as of 05•22•15 (WK108, Chart #182)TW:LW:PK:WKS01:*N:01:01 Bad Blood by Taylor Swift ft. Wow Taylor (Or I shall call her *Slaylor*) Swift has so much Bad Blood, she slayed the rest on this chart and tbh it's one of my faves right now on radio.
