Intro: Well, for all of you loyal followers, I think you all know the story now: Uptown Funk #1 and Love Me Like You Do #2. That's right, Uptown Funk has clinched a 12th week at #1 and is close to setting its first record. With its 16th week in the top 3, Uptown Funk ties Fancy for most time spent in the top 3. It also ties Fancy for 2nd longest time spent in the top 5 at 17 weeks and is 3 weeks away from tying #thatPOWER for most weeks in the top 5. Ellie, meanwhile, sits in the runner up spot for a 5th week and for the 3rd week in the row after reigning 3 weeks. Here's another record worth mentioning I forgot to mention last week: The top 2 lock-down reaches its 8th week, now beating out the 6 week lock-down set by "23" and "Wrecking Ball".For those of you who are anxiously waiting for the top 2 to break, 2 songs are in great position to do just that. And it could happen as early as April 3!!! The first of the 2 at #3 is The Weeknd's "Earned It," now 11 points away from LMLYD and 16 away from UF. The other one at #4 is Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" with six first place points. But before you solely count on those 2, I should mention... 2 other songs each took 6 position leaps. The first is Natalie La Rose's "Somebody" ft. Jeremih at #5 and Walk The Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" at #6. When the top 2 eventually fades away (finally), it could be anybody's game.Staying put at #7 is "FourFiveSeconds," falling 3 spots in Maroon 5's "Sugar," falling a spot is "Time of our Lives" by Pitbull and Ne-Yo, and cracking the top 10 for the 3rd time is Tove Lo with her recent single "Talking Body."Also notable: Chains reaches #11, Take Your Time returns to its peak of #12, GDFR reaches a new peak at #13, Ayo returns to its peak of #16, and Geronimo reaches a new peak of #21.JL44's Top 44 as of 03β’20β’15TW:LW:PK:WKS01:01:01:17 Uptown Funk by Mark Rowson ft. Anything can happen (pun not intended). If anything, Ellie's 3 weeks at the summit may prevent Mark and Bruno from reaching or breaking 14 weeks. Thanks for the like flip! Could you tag me in your chart too? Always like following others, opens up a new genre and artists variety.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ellie's song and am really glad she made it to #1 but I'm a bit bummed out that Uptown Funk could have beaten the record by now :( such a dillemma lol. Great chart in any case though!

Great chart in any case though! I know, it was much easier for Black Widow to accomplish it, the closest song to top BW during its 14 week reign was Ariana and Zedd's "Break Free." Spent 3 or 4 weeks at #2. Bang Bang then had its shot, that spent a few weeks at #2, and then Don't Tell 'Em, Cool Kids, and Shake it Off were fortunate enough to see #2, until Blame at the very end, no one was able to do it. Thanks anyway Mark, always love to hear your thoughts of my chart! Hoping Ariana can sneak in to #1 at some point Also, on your chart you have Paul McCarthy instead of McCartney. Thank you for the error, just corrected it. Ariana's in good position to hit at least the top 3, which btw, will make her the ONLY artist to nab 5 songs from the same album into the top 3. Problem debuted at #1 (only one of 2 to do so), Break Free peaked at #2, Bang Bang peaked at #2, and Love Me Harder peaked at #1. Thanks Josh for your comment! I love all the debuts/reentry. I also love Walk The Moon rising. Great chart! :) Top 5's a very big possibility for Walk The Moon. Thank you H! {Spoiler (Chart forecast) } (This is assuming no game changers happen in the next month)
This is most likely going to be UF's last week at #1, in fact, I'm 90% sure on it. This song deserved every of its 12 weeks on top, but it's time to let some new songs take over. Ellie will go back to the top, and Uptown Funk will slowly begin to go down. We'll find out if UF can break #thatPOWER's record of 20 weeks in the top 5. After Ellie, it's looking like either The Weeknd, Ariana, Natalie La Rose, or Walk The Moon will nab the 23rd #1 of the Top 44.

Intro: Before we begin, let me apologize for the delay in getting the chart update up. (Pause) Alright, let's go into this week! After spending 2 weeks at #2, 3 weeks at #1, and then another 3 weeks at #2, Ellie Goulding returns to the summit for a fourth week after gaining 1 summit point. With her rise to the top, Uptown Funk is once again out of the top spot, this time for good it looks like, with a 6 point drop. But despite the drop, Uptown Funk makes history! It has now spent 17 weeks in the top 3, breaking the tie it had with Iggy and XCX's "Fancy" for most weeks spent in the top 3. It also has now spent 18 weeks in the top 5, 2 away from tying #thatPOWER's record of 20 weeks.Spending a 3rd week at #3 is The Weeknd's "Earned It." With a 6 point gain, it's now 4 points behind UF and 6 points behind LMLYD, giving it an opportunity to take the next #1 as early as next week! The other song looking to take the #1 spot soon is Walk The Moon, as they earn 5 points and zip 6-4 with "Shut Up and Dance."Staying even at #5 is Somebody by Natalie La Rose and Jeremih and falling 4-6 is Ariana Grande with "One Last Time." If #4 is as high as it goes, Ariana falls short of adding on to her impressive record of 4 songs making the top 3, but she now has had 5 songs make the top 5.Staying even at #7 is "Four Five Seconds," going up 10-8 is Tove Lo's "Talking Body," Sam Hunt's "Take Your Time" zips 12-9, and zipping 13-10 is Flo Rida, Sage the Gemini, and Lookas with "GDFR."Numerous songs reach new peaks this week and 5 new songs enter as well, along with 3 re-entries. With the fall of "I'm not the Only One," "Take Me to Church," and "Jealous," "Centuries" becomes the longest chart sitter and remains the only song to have stayed on the chart the whole time since I started sharing my chart with y'all!JL44's Top 44 as of 03β’27β’15 (WK100, Chart #174) TW:LW:PK:WKS01:02:01:10 Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding (26) (4th week at #1) 02:01:01:18 Uptown Funk by Mark Rowson ft. Yay Ellie!!!! And Shut Up and Dance, Talking Body, and GDFR continue to rise! Great chart bud! Thanks trustypepper! Yay, we match on our number one now. :) Great top 10! (except for 45S, and Flo Rida. ) Thanks. And it's understandable, we all have different preferences, no need for the "Oh s**t, shouldn't have said that." face. {For popstop only} If you want my honest opinion, 45S is one of those, "I don't like it, but it's so damn catchy and you can't escape hearing it everywhere" songs. Add in the Hot 100 rule and that's how it got to #6 here. Sad "Uptown Funk" couldn't beat "Black Widow" for most weeks at #1, but glad it beat "Fancy" for most weeks top 3. :) Hey, it's not the weeks that ultimately matter, it's the points that do. And Uptown Funk is on track to becoming one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) songs in JL44 history. When I complete my All Time chart (hopefully in time for my Ultimate countdown starting at the end of April), we'll see how far it has to go. Thanks Josh!

In preparation for the Ultimate Countdown starting April 25, I went ahead and counted the number of weeks and charts and coincidentally, I found out that this week is actually Week 100 of the JL44 chart! It's definitely been great getting to chart and perfect my chart for this long, and hopefully, I can continue to do this for weeks to come! Also, this is the 174th chart I've made since May 3, 2013. From May 3 to August 1, 2013, I made 20 charts and from August 2, 2013 to November 10, 2014, I made 2 charts a week, meaning 134 charts were made in 67 weeks. Since then, I've made one chart a week starting November 14, 2014. There's the math for y'all. And as always, thanks for following and commenting!

UPDATE:
I've dug through every single archived chart throughout the month and I've found every single song that made the top 44 in JL44 history and after hours of tallying, I have finally caught up with this week's chart in preparing to count down the top 100 songs in JL44 history! We got 4 weekly charts to go before we can begin the first annual Ultimate Countdown, so who will make the cut? You'll find out April 25.

Intro: NEWSFLASH!!! Notify your friends! Cheer in triumph! Because... the top 2 lock-down is OVER! AND... we have a new #1! That's right, after the top 2 was locked in for 9 weeks, a new song has come forth to not only break the lock-down, but take over the #1 spot! And that new #1 is "Earned It" by The Weeknd. The 23rd #1 of the chart gains 4 points as it lifts 3-1, giving The Weeknd its first lead #1 and his second #1 overall. (His first #1 came when he was a featured act on Ariana Grande's "Love Me Harder.") This also marks another historic moment on the chart, the Fifty Shades of Gray soundtrack is now the only soundtrack in JL44 history to have 2 songs reach #1.
With the rise of The Weeknd, it brings Ellie Goulding back to a familiar place (sorry Flip): #2. She spends a 6th week at #2 and a 10th week now in the top 3 with "Love Me Like You Do". Although she has been gaining points one week and losing points in another, it is looking like she will staying stationary for another few weeks, which will give her the chance to potentially join some elite songs for longest time spent in the top 3. (When we begin the Ultimate Countdown, there will be a segment showing y'all a top 10 list for longest reigns, and time spent in the top 3, 5, and 10 as well.)
And speaking of top 3, Uptown Funk extends its record of longest time in the top 3, tallying an 18th week in the top 3, despite a 2-3 drop. It also spends a 19th week in the top 5, 1 week away from tying #thatPOWER's record of 20 weeks. As of right now, it is looking like it is very possible that Funk will tie the record, only one song right now could bring Uptown Funk down another notch next week. That song is "Shut Up and Dance." Although it spends a 2nd week at #4, it gains 8 points, leaving the difference between Funk and Dance to be 5 points.
Alright, enough of the top 4! Staying even at #5 for a 3rd week is Natalie La Rose and Jeremih's "Somebody;" staying even at #6 is Ariana Grande's "One Last Time;" going up a spot to #7 is Tove Lo's "Talking Body;" going up a spot to #8 is Sam Hunt's "Take Your Time;" entering the top 10 with an 11-9 rise is Nick Jonas, who earns his 2nd top 10 with "Chains," and Flo Rida, STG, and Lookas stay put at #10 with "GDFR."
The amount of rising and falling songs this week are scattered across the chart, and 3 songs enter this week, the highest one being Tori Kelly's "Nobody Love."
NOTE: Due to the amount of people who I tag and do not receive a like or reply from, this week, I am going to divide the tags into 2 sections. My regular followers and people I occasionally get a response or like from, don't worry about anything, but as for everyone else, I will put you in a separate section and I will ask you if you want to continue following my chart or not. Like or say 'yes,' and I won't take you off. Not respond or say 'no,' I will un-tag you. Nothing personal, just business and keeping the ball rolling. Thank you.JL44's Top 44 as of 04β’03β’15 (WK101, Chart #175) TW:LW:PK:WKS01:03:01:10 Earned It by The Weeknd (1st week at #1) (24) 02:01:01:11 Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding (20) (Spent 4 weeks at #1) 03:02:01:19 Uptown Funk by Mark Rowson ft.
