Lol look at Daniel's year-end prediction thread. Animals was only at like 60% of the points of the #2 song last week. It's closing in on SIO and AATB, but it's still petty far behind. Maybe in 2-3 weeks it will pass them and reach #2 or maybe (hopefully) even #1

Taylor Swift's '1989' No. 1 for Third Week on Billboard 200

Over on the Digital Songs chart, Swift's "Blank Space" bumps up to No. 1, selling 328,000 downloads (up 100 percent), while last week's leader, Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass," falls to No. 3 with 126,000 (down 34 percent). Hozier's "Take Me to Church" rebounds to its peak position, rising 4-2 with 131,000 (up 7 percent).

Maroon 5's "Animals" ascends 5-4 with 124,000 (up 8 percent), Swift's "Shake It Off" dips 3-5 with 93,000 (down 28 percent), and Sam Smith's "I'm Not the Only One" jumps 7-6 with 93,000 (up 10 percent). Jonas' "Jealous" zips 16-7 with 83,000 (up 38 percent), I Love Makonnen's "Tuesday," featuring Drake, flies 12-8 with 69,000 (up 2 percent) and Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)" moves 10-9 with 67,000 (down 18 percent). Big Sean's "I Don't F--- With You," featuring E-40, closes out the top 10, as it steps 14-10 with 65,000 (up 3 percent).

Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 16) totaled 5.38 million units, up 9 percent compared with the sum last week (4.94 million) and down less than 1 percent against the comparable sales week of 2013 (5.39 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 209.52 million, down 13 percent compared to the same total at this point last year (239.72 million).

Digital track sales this past week totaled 17.72 million downloads, down 3 percent compared with last week (18.29 million) and down 11 percent stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (19.88 million). Year to date track sales are at 971.37 million, down 13 percent compared to the same total at this point last year (1.11 billion).

Also, 1989 has the rarity of being #1 the same time as two of it's singles were #1. Adele was the last to do that I think. I forget how many did that before her.

Taylor having 2 songs in the top 3. Amazing how great this era has been and there were so many doubts of Taylor going pop. The first of hopefully many more weeks at #1 for "Blank Space". No big releases coming like Shakira/RIhanna early this year come early next year. This is going to be in there for a long time. Enjoy the ride,people. :)

Blank Space's streams are already way. It got 12 million on day 1 and is getting about 4 million yesterday. It is going to have to sell monstrously in the coming weeks to stay on top, which gets more difficult the more albums that she sells.

"Uptown Funk!" by Mark Ronson Bruno Mars is this week’s top new entry on the Hot 100 at #65. It’s Ronson’s first Hot 100 hit as an artist. Ronson won three Grammys seven years ago for his work withAmy Winehouse. He won Producer of the Year, Record of the Year (for producing her top 10 hit, “Rehab”) and Best Pop Vocal Album (for producing her #2 album, Back To Black).

The song is from Ronson’s upcoming fourth album Uptown Special (due Jan. 27), which will also feature collaborations with artists ranging from alternative rock band Tame Impala to rapper Mystikal.

Uptown Funk" was co-produced by nearly the same lineup of musicians who co-produced Mars’ #1, Grammy-nominated smash "Locked Out Of Heaven," namely Mars, Ronson, Philip Lawrence, Jeff Bhaskerand Emile Haynie. "I Don’t F**k With You" by Big Sean  inches up from #15 to #14 in its eighth week. This isn’t the first song with the “F word” in its title to become a big hit. P!nk's “F**kin' Perfect” hit #2 in February 2011. Cee Lo Green's “F**k You!” spent four weeks at #2 in March 2011.

Rae Sremmurd's “No Type” jumps from #21 to #17 in its eighth week … Mr. Probz's “Waves” jumps from #22 to #19 in its 13th week. Mr. Probz is the fifth act whose name begins “Mr.” to land one or more top 20 hits. He follows Mr. Mister, which had a pair of #1 hits, “Broken Wings” and “Kyrie,” in 1985-‘86; Mr. Big, which hit #1 in 1992 with “To Be With You”; Mr. Hudson, which hit the top 10 in 2010 with “Young Forever,” a collabo with Jay Z; and Mr. Cheeks, which hit #14 with “Lights, Camera, Action!” in 2002. “Waves” spent two weeks at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart in May.

"Only" by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown leaps from #43 to #27 in its third week … Vance Joy's “Riptide” finally cracks the top 40 in its 21st week on the chart. It jumps from #46 to #32 this week … Carrie Underwood's “Something In The Water” drops from #28 to #35 in its seventh week. Despite the drop, it's #1 on Country Songs for the second week.

Pharrell Williams's inexhaustible “Happy” rebounds from #45 to #37 in its 46th week …Meghan Trainor lands her second top 40 hit as “Lips Are Movin” jumps from #50 to #38 in its fourth week … Fergie's “L.A. Love (la la)” jumps from #63 to #41 in its sixth week.

"Beg For It" by Iggy Azalea featuring MO jumps from #60 to #49 in its fourth week … Lorde's “Yellow Flicker Beat” re-enters the chart at #82. The song has climbed as high as #74. Lorde is set to perform the song on the AMAs on Sunday.

One Direction's “18” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” are the week's second- and third-highest new entries at #87 and #88, respectively. They're from the boy band's fourth album, FOUR, which is set to enter The Billboard 200 at #1 next week with sales north of 400K. (“Where Do Broken Hearts Go” is a new song, not a remake of the Whitney Houston smash from 1988.)

"Outside" by Calvin Harris  Ellie Goulding jumps from #99 to #89 in its third week … Thomas Rhett's “Make Me Wanna” debuts at #99. It's the fourth Hot 100 song from Rhett's debut album, It Goes Like This. Rhett's father, 1990s country star Rhett Akins, never cracked the Hot 100. His biggest crossover hit, “More Than Everything,” bubbled under the Hot 100 at #121 in 1997.

"Don't" may have gone back up to #11, but he didn't mention it because it isn't a new peak, which in most cases is the only time he mentions a rise.

I thought that too at first but then I realized he mentioned Happy even though it didn't peak at #37
