They are referring to ranking or place of the highest number of #1's attained, not # of people. So, 11 number ones is the highest number of #1's attained by any number of people, whether it be 1 or 100, 9 number ones ranks #2, seven number ones is the third highest number achieved, etc. So when they say Maroon 5 ties with Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake for third place, it means they have all achieved that rank together.

I thought that Cheap Sunglasses had already charted in the dance chart... I've had it in my iPhone for several months (it was a free iTunes track) and it's a pleasant track I don't get tired of. I wonder if this is the first chart it's appeared. Nice song.

So it is completely unknown whether Animals or Habits will be #1 in airplay on the official Billboard Radio Songs chart. My money is on Animals since from my past experiences the song at #2 in Mediabase within a couple million AI of the #1 according to Mediabase would come out on top on Billboard because it had big gains that week. We will see though. I really thought Animals would be #1 on Mediabase by today. Surprising.
