Anyone in their right mind knows if this wasn't *Rihanna*, Kayne and Paul it wouldn't even get 100 views on You Tube by a random person lol let alone a single spin on radio. Except songs just like this have become hits on radio in the past, from names no where near as huge a Rihanna. Some of you people are acting like this is the first acoustic song you've ever heard. I agree, it surprises at first (because it's not what you expect from her) but if you remove the awful Kanye's part you have a pleasant acooustic guitar song |

We Ride, Rockstar 101, California King Bed, You DA One, Talk That Talk, Right Now, What Now, and Can't Remember to Forget You all say otherwise. I wish people would stop trying to bring up excuses for this song's success. The GP uses it, and the naysayers here were just plain WRONG regarding its commercial success and critical acclaim. We all still have room to grow as chart and pop song experts. Just accept it and move on  Btw #1 in Australia :'( Again, keep in mind this is the first single of an album era. Russian Roulette? |

But my point was that she's such a star that I don't really believe that she must sell the first singles, people are interested in them anyway.

I guess I'm in the minority that I like this more every time I hear it. Kanye's verse is jarring though and it shouldn't have been included but it's only 2 lines (his other part is better).

I really dislike this song and it makes me sad because I like Rihanna and have purchased all her albums.
I took a look at the lyrics from this song and 2 lines that describe my exact feelings when this comes on the radio.
