It debuted at #12 with 20k in sales, became the most critically acclaimed album of her career (89 on Metacritic), secured her a performance slot on last season's finale of Saturday Night Live, and earned her the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album - only the second woman to win in that category since Sinead O'Connor won the inaugural award in 1991. I personally love the album and was rooting for it to take home the Grammy - easily the best album in that category and such a razor sharp yet fluid combo of alt. rock with noise, punk and electronic elements that sounds so effortless coming from her.

I saw her last summer at a jazz festival here in town and wow! I didn't really know her before but she was kickass awesome! She's such a performance artist and she owns the guitar. So hypnotic. I was memorized.

My 2nd favorite album of 2014. "Prince Johnny" and "Psychopath" are highlights in addition to the 2 main singles. Her SNL performances were fantastic as well.

Not really a fan of her in general. I saw her during the Mumford & Sons Stopover Tour in Portland, Maine and she was just noisy and messy. I was rooting for Arcade Fire to win because they had one of the best albums of the year, period but...good for women in rock.

Any St Vincent fans in here? Thoughts on the new album? I was SUPER pumped after the 1-2 slam dunk of NEW YORK and LOS AGELESS (and the stellar music videos) but I'm not entirely sold on the album yet. Maybe a few more spins although it's getting critical praise.

Thought I was the only fan on Pulse; I've LOVED all 3 tracks so far but haven't had a chance to hear the full album yet. Will report back with my thoughts.

I’m back and I must say I’m loving the album! I’d knew it probably be polarizing to her fan base since it’s her most overtly pop album but it’s not as if she’s suddenly playing to the lowest common denominator of pop music consumers. Her lyrics are sharp as ever, her melodies are catchy, she’s got hooks aplenty and Jack Antonoff helped freshen up her sound without overdosing on gloss. And I know her guitar prowess continues to be heavily debated but I still love what she does with her instrument. This will easily become one of my favorite albums of 2017.
I must scratch her off my live show bucket list with the upcoming tour, too. It still hurts that I didn’t get to see the doubleheader with her and Erykah Badu at the Hollywood Bowl a couple years ago.

Her first top-10 album! Debuted at #10 with 29k SPS (25k sales); St. Vincent debuted at #12 with 29k sales. Hard earned and well deserved!

What kind of flawless album?!? I listened to the first couple tracks in the airport coming home from ACL and Pills had me twerking in the airport. I bought the album on release and play it start to finish regularly. I ignored her before this album but I am on board now!

This is so good, can't say which song is a fave, maybe the title track or Sugarboy for now. Amazing that she got a top ten album

I’ve seriously played the album at least once everyday since it dropped. It’s such a seamless body of work. I feel like it might be more Grammy worthy than SV which I also loved!

Nice, kind surprised she didn't submit Los Ageless instead of Masseduction for that category though.

She basically ate Dua Lipa alive last night IMO. It kind of worked in context of the performance though, with Dua coming off like an ingénue to her grown ass woman confidence. So happy for the win and especially happy she got a chance to shine.

I am so glad she performed at the Grammy's, because it made me revisit this album hardcore over the past few weeks. I mainly gravitated towards the uptempos when it came out, but DAMN the ballads. How did I sleep on these so hard? That pre-chorus/chorus of "Slow Disco" has to be one of the most gorgeous moments on record over the past few years.

The stripped-down version of the album - Masseducation - is pretty good as well; it gave me a new appreciation for the record and the genius of her artistry.

She and her music are so cool. Just learned yesterday that she is 38 years old. For some reason I thought she was older. I didn't imagine her as kinda' the same age as Britney and Christina.

I'm loving her look this era. She's giving me peak 70's Sondra Locke.
