Adam Lambert's upcoming The Original High lead single is out April 21 and is not a Madonna cover, but an original produced by Max Martin. Popjustice tweeted that the full thing is good, but all we get for now is an Instagram sample. Can't wait. https://instagram.com/p/0j75f2uNCb

Confirmed via his Twitter/Instagram as the first single from his upcoming album The Original High. Releases April 21.
(Edit: there is a clip on IG if someone wants to post it, I'm on mobile and can't ):

I'm also on mobile, but what the hell. Just because my curiosity was piqued, to say the least, let's see if I can get this right... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://instagram.com/p/0j75f2uNCb ETA: This clip reminds me of why I don't listen to preview clips in the first place. This could be part of something that's either going to super amazing, or I'm going to hate it with a passion. Considering that it's Adam, though, I find it very unlikely that I'm going to end up hating this, sooooo.

The clip does leave a lot to be desired, but I like the way the production sounds. He usually delivers so I have faith!

Didn't Kurt create a thread for this in the non-singles forum? Just saying.

Didn't Kurt create a thread for this in the non-singles forum? Just saying. Even if this had been the starting thread over there, it wouldn't be surprising if eventually Pop is where it'd end up in the end. In any case, how would Adam work with Max Martin on this forthcoming album (which, he has) and then not try for a Pop hit? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hopefully this time the new label really support him. He was popular enough to sign for another big label without a problem (and he had very successful tours by himself and with Queen) but it's sad how the old label treat him (nothing surprised because it's what happened with most talent show contestants in their second album) By the way i hope he releases a ballad, people loved his ballads during American Idol

Omg I thought he was releasing Madonna's song at first!
Actually, I honestly had to ask myself if it was April Fool's Day and the board had replaced "Adam Lambert" whenever anyone typed "Madonna" lmao!

Why is he stealing Madonna's song titles. WTF. Didn't listen to the clip but still eager to hear this in full.

clip sounds great-- he looks great too....he isn't "stealing" Madonna's song titles...this song was probably written a year ago before anyone even knew she had a song of the same title...I assume the label would've changed the title if they thought it would be an issue (although maybe it was too late by the time she announced it as her second single)...damn now that whistling is stuck in my head

Weird that he came up with the exact same name as Madonna's song title.

I like this sound. Slay the club kids, Adam! Maybe just missing the Deep House's moment on CHR, or he might be extending it.

lmao at people thinking he's copying Madonna. You guys really think he wants to copy her? Excited for this nonetheless.

This is not even the first time two songs with the same (and uncommon) tittle are released at the same time. I remember Spectrum by Zedd and Spectrum by Florence and the machine being released more or less at the same time.
Hopefully both Ghosttowns will get more radio support than both Spectrums

Well if there was ever a time for him to make a comeback, it would be now, with the whole Sam Smith thing exploding.

Can't tell much from the snippet but I love what I hear. Hope he gets a hit this time around. He deserves it.

Now all we need is Jake Owen to release "Ghost Town" as his next single to country radio!

Well, he was 0 for 3 with hits last era so let's hope that there's something actually catchy and radio-friendly this time around otherwise I'm predicting some more flops.
