This is one of those songs that it will really piss me off if it's allowed to flop. Its too good. Prepare to be pissed off, unfortunately :'(

This grew on me immensely; I knew it wouldn't become big, but it's just so disappointing to see it not get the airplay it deserves.

I'm gonna be optimistic that they pulled it and are going to do a quick switch and release something else instead and save Run Away With Me, but what else would work?
I can't accept that this album isn't going to be known and enjoyed by so many, they have to have something left up their sleeve, or a reason to pull it, I really think there might be a last minute single switch happening. It would have to be Making The Most of the Night with a fantastic video, Run Away needed a buzzworthy video and didn't get that, I really hope that's the plan. It could very well work. They've put too much money into making this project to give up this soon.

"Your Type" or "Boy Problems" are probably the most radio friendly tracks left on the record. Hopefully they at least try one more song before calling it quits.

will this be sent to Urban/Urban AC? Even if this went #1 on Pop and was a #1 for numerous weeks, this would still not chart on Urban. So no.

Switch "Boy Problems" to "Making the Most of the Night" and I'd agree. But, honestly, if this song doesn't work, nothing will. "Run Away with Me" is 100% the most radio friendly song on the album. Why "I Really Like You" was the lead over this is baffling.

The thing is, if RAWM had lead off...would anyone have paid attention?

The thing is, if RAWM had lead off...would anyone have paid attention? Yes. IRLY had hype even before the Tom Hanks video. Had RAWM gotten that hype plus the support IRLY had, I guarantee you it would have performed better than IRLY.

It's sad....
Taylor, JB, and Macklemore totally killed this. Not sure what their next move should be, but it should definitely not be "Making the Most of the Night". It should be "Boy Problems".

Even if we don't get another single, I'd love a video for "I Didn't Just Come Here to Dance":

any radio updates? anything? is there a god? God is dead, Pop radio is doomed, and we're all just living garbage on a rock drifting through space. Buy Emotion on iTunes

Interscope is fucking this album and Carly over ten-fold. There has yet to be a good reason for them to pull arguably the best pop song this year and not have something else released ASAP.

Fuck her team. Fuck Interscope. I mean, what the hell. This is the best pop song of the year, why did they pull this? Why have they screwed up literally everything about this album release, from the first single to this!

The song suck ass tho. "Not pushing" gurl there were a truck load of promotion plus many advertisements on allacess and fmqb.
Most song gets maybe a week of advert. This particular song got MONTHS of ads. I can't imagine the amount money pouring to those ads.
Carly also did many RADIO interviews AND performances.
With that said, she needs to release "Warm Blood" the only listenable song on her album. The only song on the album that doesn't make you cringe and pull your hair.

AngelsForever - Are you confusing this with "I Really Like You"? Because that had everything you're talking about. This one has had next to zilch. Also, it's one of the best pop songs is years. (And "Warm Blood" is the only song on the album I don't like. At all.)

(And "Warm Blood" is the only song on the album I don't like. At all.) Such a shame. I'm sad that they gave up so quickly for this. All I want is at least one more single before completely abandoning the project.

I think it all boils down to money. I think they were/are losing money, and they didn't foresee any benefit from RAWM based on early adds and post-appearance sales. So they pulled it.
Isn't that basically what happened to American Oxygen? And that new Maroon 5 song?

They blew almost the entire promotional budget on the first single. Once that flopped, this was always done for.
Whoever compared this to that Rachel Stevens album is right with regards to not just internet reaction, but to the extent of the commercial failure. It's the equivalent of a financial black hole. I don't think this would have hit either way though unless it was reproduced. The only possible hit on the album would be a modernized Your Type.

"Your Type" or "Boy Problems" are probably the most radio friendly tracks left on the record. Hopefully they at least try one more song before calling it quits. Boy Problems has been sounding more like a radio ready track the more I hear it. Definitely don't think Your Type would do anything though. This is just such a bizarre case of a fantastic pop album through and through with no obvious hits. Very strange. It's like the antithesis of Teenage Dream (an uneven pop album but with nearly every song an obvious hit).

Mess at the nope.
Run Away With Me was performed on the Today show and Jimmy Fallon. Two biggest shows. She also did an interview with BBC radio 1 (I think its one the biggest station in the UK?) She did Mall Of America, she did many other "radio performance" through out the U.S
I wanted to screenshot the ads but I can't because it's no longer there. All I know for a fact, interscope was pushing the song weeks before "High By The Beach" . I check for Lana stats but keep seeing Carly plastered EVERY WHERE.
They only pulled it like two days ago.
I wish Lana was getting this type of promo from interscope. When I come here and see people complaining. It IS BEYOND me. BEYOND my comprehension.

Whoever called it the financial black hole is correct. They spent tons on I Really Like You and very few labels will continue to throw money at a project that isn't hitting. I like this song, but I don't see it as the type of song that is destined to be a massive smash unless it is following another hit and the label probably feels the same way. I would focus on the markets where she is still doing well. No shame in not having the American market.
