Anyway, Cheerleader is almost ahead of Bad Blood in sales now and continuing to gain. I guess whoever predicted it will be #1 could be right after all...

This site has run for over a decade with one chart being posted a day and nobody batted an eye over it. Your personal opinions on how things should be run are not absolute or necessary. If you want to clog up the forum by posting all 1010 songs on the kworb website with all their updates and up/down movements and spin counts and format changes and the singer's cat's name in the post as well then go ahead, but the system worked fine the way it was. Many things ran for over a decade and switched, or changed, or something else came along. You don't need to be cliche and all exxagerative (sp). I wasn't trying to offend anyone. Obviously I'm not gonna post 1010 songs. You guys have your way and, so, stick to it. I respect that. I'll probably leave the forum because this isn't my intent. But -- the point is this. You guys have a great reputation (I loved the site for years), and there's a lot of music "freaks" that come on here looking for the specifics! Include 'em! That's all :) I'm not trying to start a fight. And in regards to the one calling me a cunt, you can continue your online cliche responses and "witty" remarks, but the way you responded makes it seem like you are not that interested in the details on such topic and so, you're not the one I'm targetting. Obviously anyone can say "who gives a f**k" about anything that they're not interested in -- that doesn't mean it can't be better. lyhomjosh ty :) I appreciate it, but I have that link! That's where I get the songs to post! :) I think what we are saying is, if you choose to spend extra time adding shading/colors and extra detail to what you do, we applaud that and encourage it. Others who do not conform to those standards because they don't have time or simply don't want to make everything look a certain way are also encouraged to contribute.
Yes, things have ran a certain way for over a decade, in all that time, there have been no rules established about how charts should formatted/shaded/bolded and what details are acceptable or not.

Indeed, and don't expect such rules anytime soon - we're not really interested in micro-managing these things. :) Also: If we could also manage to not dovetail the thread into going after each other, that'd be great. :)

It's not shading/colors. It's about having the opportunity to make it more COMPLETE. More up & coming songs, show the up/down trajectory to view the hits. How is that conforming to standards? It's LAZY to do otherwise. That's the chart! There are people looking for these stats! That's all! You guys are set in your way and all apparently feel strongly, keep going that way! Obviously it's not a big enough difference to end the world, or change things on this forum. The charts are fine just as they are -- I'm just saying they can be BETTER. Apparently I feel a bit stronger than a lot on this subject, so I will slowly step away from this conversation, lol. Just stop quoting me and we'll be good. Then take he job on yourself and quit complaining about it.

Then take he job on yourself and quit complaining about it. Been trying, thanks. He posts the incomplete version at like 4am. LOL - that is his choice. You could get up at 3am and beat him too it? ;)

You don't want to switch things up to be better because a 90 post poster is saying so vs. the ones who been here. I get it. Just know you could have a more complete forum for the music loving public. Not ego. Disagree

Tried that. He copies and pastes his while I go through and actually reformat it, so that his posts get in before mine. I'm more immensed in the actual doing/the numbers on the chart, he just copy and pastes. Posts. Then goes back to edit and include colors. How can you beat that when you're actually reformatting?
Some choices:
Get up at 2am if 3am does not work Forget about it (please - LOL) Post your own version of the chart anyway (no one will care - trust me) Take your thoughts to PM with him directly and see if you can work something out, so this thread does not get derailed further

I'm getting the impression that Shane wants to be the sole provider of the daily airplay updates. The door is open, Shane - you're welcome to post the numbers in any way you see fit. As is Daniel. It's a 2-way street.
Clearly, you think this site would be better if you were in charge of these updates. Is there an argument to be made for that? Maybe. But you can't be surprised that people aren't embracing it with open arms when you initiate the conversation by calling Daniel's post "half-assed", and then implying that he/we are "lazy", "not really into the numbers" etc. I'm no expert negotiator, but I don't think the best way to get people to see your point is by insulting and talking down to them.

honestly nobody really has to post these radio updates at all anyways, so it doesn't really matter how much better one person's post is than another, it's still considered lucky to even have general radio updates in the first place tbh

No, the charts not even available then. I'm not gonna double post to do more, people got mad at that too. If you want me to forget about it, why do you keep quoting me? You're obviously not interested in my side of this, although I know you know what I'm saying makes more sense. It only makes more sense if the people posting the charts were getting paid to do so, then I think we can expect certain standards. Or if Pulse charged a fee for membership, then I think we can expect certain standards. Otherwise, no, your way does not make more sense.
I suggest you send him a PM and try to work something out with him about a "better way" to post the radio charts.
Good luck

Clearly, the real takeaway message here is that the Hot 100 threads can get to 3-4+ pages without Mark G. being the one to fill them. ;)

okay going to reiterate this for the thousandth time
there's no obligation to post the radio updates in the first place, so there really isn't any official rules on how to format it
so when someone who hasn't even made 100 posts yet (which, like it or not, does have a slight effect on your reputation on this forum, especially when your only posts were said radio updates) makes a post criticizing someone elses formatting of the radio updates by calling it "lazy" and "half-assed", then it really shouldn't come as any surprise that the general response by other people is overwhelmingly negative, especially when you show no willingness to even agree to disagree with other people
I get that you thought that the forum had a stricter policy regarding this, but the truth is it's generally considered a treat that we even get them at all, and so most people aren't too picky with how "half-assed" the format is
anyways either way I've made my point so I'm out

Fun rule of thumb: whenever you're about to post something personal or critical or angry, remind yourself that this is an Internet forum and that nothing here matters much compared to the real world. Let it go, hit backspace, and don't post.

LOL shane! I want my half assed updates just like Daniel posted because i'm very busy and don't need it anymore detailed than it already is. Its not lazy, its called having a life. Unless my $$$ or career is made on these updates then its fine to read and go about my daily business.

Now that we've gone in circles for two pages of discussion, shall we move on? I'll cosign the previous sentiments that both of you (or neither of you) are welcome to post charts in any way you see fit, that anyone can add to or subtract from one list if it's already posted, and that discussing a potential compromise between the two of you by PM (if you'd like to seek one) would be an optimal solution.
Here's also a general reminder that one's points are much more well-received without personal attacks and/or vulgar language involved.

Quirky chart fact -- if Bad Blood does go back to #1, this would be Taylor's 3rd single to have its stay at #1 interrupted (after WANEGBT and SIO).
