-All of the people saying that "Taylor made Kanye famous"& "How dare he even make music" automatically makes me on Kanyes side The firsts statement is retarded as hell. Gold Digger, Stronger, Love Lockdown, and such were all hits before Taylor got her first major hit. The first two being 2000s classics.

Paparazzi is the definitive song of The Fame despite not being the most successful.

I think Sara Evans is very underrated as an artist overall! Along with Jo Dee Messina, Terri Clark and the group Diamond Rio!

I personally think Uptown Funk is extremely overrated I agree with that one. I wish "Downtown" and "Uptown Funk" traded success.

Drake is overrated (and I like several of his songs and think he's a good rapper, just not as great as people make him out to be) and Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper out right now, and one of the greatest rappers in the last 20 years. I also think his music will be more remembered than Drake's and will be put on higher regard than him in the hip hop community years from now, especially after releasing "To Pimp A Butterfly". I also think the only reason Drake won the rap feud was because Meek Mill wasn't that great of a rapper to begin with.

I got a good one
Formation - Beyonce
It isn't bad as people make it out to be, IMO its one that needs to grow on you for a little and you'll eventually enjoy it. I didn't like it at all at first, but it soon grew on me and became one of my faved releases this month so far.

That's another unpopular opinion of mine I suppose. I absolutely adore "Downtown" and don't mind the structure of it all. The chorus is killer and I can hardly remember what "Uptown Funk" goes like at times.

^ I like "Downtown", too, I thought it was one of the best songs of last year. It took me a couple of listens for me to really enjoy it, though, I wasn't initially a fan of Eric Nally's part of the song.

Got some more.
Kelly Clarkson is severely under appreciated, and if she wanted to be, could be about as big as Beyonce right now.
Carrie Underwood's Storyteller is by far and away her worst album released to date.
Regardless of "if Kanye made her famous or not", Taylor Swift is easily the worst female pop star of the last decade and should never have even been nominated for Album/Record/Song of the Year. (However, I will say that she would not have gotten as famous as she got so quickly without Kanye. Hits alone don't necessarily make you famous, and let's be honest she's been milking it for all it's worth over the last 6 years.)
One Direction has gotten better with time.
I liked "Downtown".
"F*ck You" should've been much, much bigger than it was (should've been one of the biggest hits of the decade).
American Idol should've ended like 6 years ago.
Uptown Funk is an amazing song.

Selena Gomez is not a good singer or dancer, hell she's not even that hot, and I don't understand why she's so popular.

Demi Lovato tries way too hard; only to be a mediocre vocalist at best. She has her moments - but to me they're screechy and way too forced.
Kelly Clarkson really needs to look out for her health. I know she's proud to look how she looks, but I think she has serious health concerns that have also impacted her vocals. I know she's pregnant at the moment, but I think once she has her second child she really needs to make her health a priority. In between giving birth to River and getting pregnant again, it appeared to me she wasn't too invested in getting healthy. I'm not saying she needs to look like she did during the "Breakaway" era; this really isn't even about how she looks, it's that she was visibly unhealthy and as a fan I was legitimately concerned whenever I saw her on TV - she just didn't look at all healthy, to me at least. Maybe this isn't as unpopular as it might seem, but I know there are some who might take offense to this, so at Pulse it may be deemed "unpopular".

But if he's a Carly fan (especially a big fan) would he not have read the Emotion album thread to see how many people are pressed as f**k the era hasn't been commercially successful? That doesn't translate into 'Carly is unpopular on Pulse'.

I don't think Taylor Swift's music is as great as people make it out to be, she seems to be a one-trick pony when it comes to her hit songs, and there's no real diversity outside of some album tracks. I think Katy Perry is one of the worst pop stars in the last 10 years, her popularity baffles me. I think both Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande are the only good singers to come out of Disney/Nick in recent years.

Probably the one-hit wonder thread where the poster got upset at posters labeling her a one hit wonder. People come up with the silliest excuses for her being a one hit wonder. They all seem to be some variation of, "Good Time isn't remembered," "Good Time is Owl City's song," "Call Me Maybe was way bigger," "She hasn't had any hits outside of 2012" or my personal favorite, "It's just my opinion." No other artist has people THAT desperate to discredit them.

It's not about discrediting her or anyone. It's a silly label based off of public perception.
