Didn't chart on the Top 200. She's done! Such sad news. Her debut peaked at #9, while her sophomore peaked at #71, but I thought she’d maybe place in the 100s. I see it on the Current Albums Chart at #46 and the Billboard Canadian Albums at #83, so at least we know some people bought the album. Side note: I finally listened to her This Summer EP, and I was surprised at how GOOD it is. Her debut was hit/miss with me, while her sophomore grew on me, so it was a pleasant surprise that the EP instantly caught me. |

Based on Rolling Stone’s chart, it would’ve only taken about 6-7k SPS to crack the main chart so it is kinda baffling that she can’t even generate that much interest in her new music. I wonder if this album fulfills her contract with Def Jam and they were just ready to release it and her. She’s probably better off indie at this point.

I finally had some free time to listen to this in full, and it's pretty good. It makes me sad that she's fallen so much from the GP radar, she's a really clever songwriter and her smokey voice is underrated. The album is solid all the way through, there's not a song I dislike and there are a couple with hit potential (Lie To Me being the obvious one). Maybe she was never edgy enough to create a big fanbase?
I hope she goes indie and continues releasing music on her own. She's a really talented girl and she seems like such a sweetheart, so I'm rooting for her.
