Looks like Andy Grammer will follow up "Honey, I'm Good." with new material - his new track 'Hallelujah" was played at yesterday's session of the iHeartMedia Music Summit, according to AllAccess.

Watch this be a Leonard Cohen cover. I think it'd be a smart idea to re-release Magazines or Novels.

Full title is "Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)" and it's out on Monday.
That artwork has me nervous.
Edit: Oh, wow, mastering finished this morning and Hits 1 played it this evening. Here's like a three-second clip:

The artwork is very nerve-wracking, but he does say it's about to get funky. Funky Andy could work.
ETA: That tiny clip sounds like this'll be "Honey, I'm Good." part two...

Anyone notice that the cover is a rip-off of "Fight Song"'s? Andy's just jealous that Rachel's song happened to be bigger than his. So he decided to plagiarize off her for revenge. Anyway, I sadly don't see this becoming a big hit on CHR. Something tells me that since his song barely scraped the top 10 of the CHR charts radio stations will be reluctant to support him with his follow-up. Should do fine on Hot AC though. (FYI, I think Rachel will suffer the same fate. Both deserve much better than it looks they're going to get.)

For one, that's a pretty generic single cover, so he didn't steal it directly from her now. Two, there's literally a 3 second clip out of the song and you know how well it'll do? Ok.

I know it was generic. I just found it odd that Andy's recent song has a similar cover to another Hot AC crossover hit. Even having the same story: "a previously (semi)-unknown singer/songwriter has a Hot AC hit that unexpectedly crosses over to pop and peaks surprisingly low relative to its strong sales." Secondly, it's not a guarantee he gets a hit. Andy himself is still relatively unknown to CHR audiences, so I don't think there's going to be an instant commercial reaction upon release. And it's known its not easy to get a hit without digital or streaming support. While it could easily become another big hit, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up a one-hit wonder for the time being.

That clip literally sound like the beginning of Honey I'm Good with a few new vocal inflections.

I could see the new single going at least top 20 unless it is absolutely terrible and/or the big stations don't play it. I know it was generic. I just found it odd that Andy's recent song has a similar cover to another Hot AC crossover hit. Even having the same story: "a previously (semi)-unknown singer/songwriter has a Hot AC hit that unexpectedly crosses over to pop and peaks surprisingly low relative to its strong sales." "Keep Your Head Up" was a hit on Hot AC and did get some play on CHR/Pop and was a minor hit. It ended up charting on the Hot 100, but only in the 50s. For all practical purposes, he could be considered a 1.5 hit wonder.

The second single from his debut actually make some splash in HAC and managed to become a very minor hit peaking in the 80's or 90's of Hot 100. We can call him 1.75 hit wonder for now.

Loved Honey, I'm Good, and looking forward to hearing this. I was kind of hoping for Remind You as a third single (or maybe re-release of Back Home?), but not sure how well it would actually have done, so depending on what Hallelujah sounds like, maybe a good decision to release something new. I don't remember anything else on the album sounding like it had smash potential to me, although I very much enjoy the album.

It's big for a while in my country, and I'm sure it would go top 10 in HAC.

Three: Andy and Rachel have the same manager, so it wouldn't surprise me if he connected Andy to the same person who did the "Fight Song" artwork. But putting text in horizontal bars at the top and bottom is probably not that uncommon in and of itself, so it's just as probably not related at all.

Most of the time, the sound of a song doesn't matter how well it'll do so 3-second clip or the entire song, I'm sure many of us could already predict how we think his next single will perform on radio.

Meh it's alright. It really sounds like he's trying to recreate "Honey, I'm Good.". Sounds very forced. I would have rather seen a re-release for "Back Home", or something like "Pusher", "Masterpiece", "Sinner", or "Red Eye" get released.

You know that this would be a massive hit if it were by Maroon 5/Adam Levine.
I like it, but it just doesn't feel like a single.

Impacts September 15, according to R&R. It also confirms that Hollywood will handle radio promotion again.

This will be included in a repackaged deluxe edition of Magazines or Novels that is due out on November 6th. Pre-orders for it start on October 23rd.
I'm assuming the Target bonus tracks will be added in to this, and possibly another new song or two.

Jimmy Kimmel Live performance: Andy bringing them killer dance moves I wasn't sold on the song initially, but Andy and his crew makes me think it could grow on me. Much like his sophomore album, the "studio" versions get slayed by the "live" performances.
