This is the first time in my recorded history that all top 11 positions maintain same ranking from previous week.

Blinding Lights extends Top 3 record run and possibly looks to add to its Top 2 run next week.

Circles extends its record Top 20 streak and accelerates higher in the survey. Becomes the 2nd biggest hit in MB history.

I didn't appreciate just how much of an advantage Circles had banked by started out the year at/near #1 when Blinding Lights didn't even debut until mid-January (which is much later than I remembered as well). BL is still the favorite for year-end #1, but with only 11 (or 12?) weeks to go and almost 400 points left to make up, it could easily fall short if its losses start picking up and it starts sliding down the top 10 with Circles still hanging in around #13.

If Blinding Lights ends up beating Circles I might cry. I love the song, but it still doesn’t come near any of Post Malone’s work imo.

I'm not sure, but I think 11 weeks left in the chart year. Assuming that, my prediction for year-end top 10:

1. Blinding Lights
2. Circles
3. Adore You
4. Don't Start Now
5. Hot Girl Bummer
6. Break My Heart
7. Say So
8. Intentions
9. Watermelon Sugar
10. Before You Go

The biggest wildcards are Break My Heart and Before You Go. I'm looking at the chart, and I'm assuming neither of them crash over the next two months, just with how awfully stagnant the chart is. But BMH needs to maintain position in or near the top 10 the rest of the year to catch Doja and Justin (I don't think it will be quite enough to pass Blackbear, assuming he keeps hanging out in the low 20s for the rest of the year).

I'm thinking that BYG can probably hold on to a top 10 spot for the rest of the year, and falls slowly enough to get JUST enough to pass Memories, but this is assuming he doesn't crash like Falling did. Watermelon Sugar is such a huge hit I don't think it's a stretch to assume it will spend most of the rest of the year in the top 5, which should be enough for it to get past Memories, and I assume it will outperform Lewis enough to get past BYG as well. It hit #1 on AT40 in 5 weeks as well. It accomplished a rare feat by hitting #1 inside the same month it debuted. I made a comment about this back then.

Woah. Circles becomes the biggest song EVER this week? WOW! At just 56 weeks? I mean New Rules got it at like 73. Wow. Circles is a good song but New Rules was a great song. Well it was gonna happen anyway. The 2010s chart is broken as well so I'm not too surprised.

Look at Blinding Lights. It's blazing up the chart and passes PRA which spent 73 weeks on the chart. Reverse that number and you have Blinding Lights doing that in only 37 weeks... in only half the time. It's going to be #2 in a few months.
