WHOA! :o
And 3 songs in the top 5 simultaneously, congrats Justin Bieber! The last time that happened if I recall correctly is 2005 when 50 Cent did it.

that recurrent rule works. not too harsh or drastic, but ensures songs that have been charting for a year can't just hang out for 2 years based solely on passive streaming.

No he was not. He has an * next to that accomplishment with Bieber actually being #2 by doing it as the main act behind The Beatles.

*Justin FN Bieber. And to think that he waited a little while to release all those videos.
*Of course the Billboard article gives us the "Complete My Album"-adjusted Sorry sales total (82,000) and not the sales total that actually impacts the Hot 100...

That will probably Halsey's highest chart appearance ever. She's lucky they got her on the Bieber album.

The one song that didn't make it was "All In It". And that was one of my favorites from the album. But at least we got the other songs and a brand new record. Let's go Bieber!

Sorry and Hotline Bling must be a fraction of a fraction apart from each other, points-wise.... amiright?

Just as WAUN was about to leave, it seems.... Sosososo happy to see Alessia in the top 10 even if it meant replacing Elle or Meghan. Also great to see WTF doing something.

WAIT, what is the new recurrent rule? Does that mean TOL, UF and SUAD are all gone?

Sorry and Hotline Bling must be a fraction of a fraction apart from each other, points-wise.... amiright? No. They have a huge gap. Dont forget that COMPLETE MY ALBUM deduction does NOT impact the ranking of billboard.com Like, Sorry has about 180,000 (?) downloads this week (100,000 of them I guess are deducted because they're complete my album) but the ranking is still based on 180,000, rather than 80,000

I do have to wonder how they'll adjust 2016 and further for all-time. Maybe they'll retroactively axe points that don't match the 52 week recurrency, like for Smooth.

I fucking hate the new recurrent rule. The Hot 100 is fine as it was. The only good thing about it is the fact it leaves a few more spots open - perhaps "First" can finally debut?

Don't like the recurrent rule or any recurrent rule for that matter. If an old song is one of the most popular songs in the country, restricting it from an popularity chart because of age always seems wrong to me.
