Every once in a while, a song will come along that is so perfectly irresistible that it demands to be played repeatedly, on a loop, for an obnoxiously extended period of time; think Daft Punk and Pharrell's "Get Lucky" back in 2013, for instance. Since the moment of its release in February, "Slide" has been that type of song, combining effortlessly-cool vocals from Frank Ocean with an upbeat, Auto-Tuned interlude from Quavo and a witty verse from Offset that opens with the endlessly quotable, "Offset! / Good gracious / Starin' at my diamonds while I'm hoppin' out the spaceship." And we haven't even talked about the beat yet -- spliced together by Harris, this chameleonic groove fits into every type of setting or playlist, whether dropped during a laid-back weekend afternoon or at the height of a packed party. "Heatstroke" was sent to pop and rhythmic radio after its release in late March, but it wasn't properly pushed in both formats in the US, mainly because of "Slide". However, it's labeled as the second single of the album.

What's weird is that there are 10 tracks on the iTunes listing and he previewed 10 tracks in that snippet, but "Heatstroke" was nowhere to be found even though it's available on iTunes. The last song with Jesse Reyez and Takeoff could be a "bonus track" since it was previewed very briefly.

Oh, duh, so the album preview wasn't even in order; I forgot we had a preorder with the three filled in already. I thought the Nicki track cut out kind of quickly too, so I wonder if the Jessie/Takeoff song is tacked onto it as a hidden track (if not a separate bonus like BMAC said) or something.

Looks like Pitchfork reported that the trailer revealed the artist pairings (likely something similar to what BMAC posted before), but the story, which you could read here, was updated with the following text.

A previous version of this story indicated that Funk Wav artist pairings were revealed. The video previews tracks, but does not directly indicate pairings.

That said, I assume that two of the snippets belong to a song if it's considered that the one of "Heatstroke" wasn't included.

Yesterday, Calvin did an Instagram live for almost an hour and a half, where he previewed snippets of his upcoming album while he was eating broccoli most of the time (lol!).
