I don't think Light It Up will do as well as Powerful Light It Up is already a bigger hit than Powerful globally. On the worldwide cumulative sales total chart, Powerful is at #801 and barely gaining any points, while Light It Up is already at #874 and will surpass Powerful within a week. Where can I find it?

Okay, did something happen with My House that's boosting sales so much? Its always been pretty consistent, but its been getting quite a huge sales lead on itunes without the benefit of it being a new release or anything. Was there a key live performance?

The only thing I could find is that the song was chosen as the theme song for WWE's WrestleMania 32 coming in April. Maybe it's being used in ads?

I honestly wouldn't mind My House being #1 (as long as it's not at the peril of Stressed Out or WWWY). I like the song a lot!
I've also been getting into Me, Myself & I and Cake By The Ocean a lot these past couple days! I hope they can make the top ten

I also just saw a Pizza Hut ad on network TV that uses My House.

My House is about to pose a massive threat for number one. It's currently #1 on iTunes with a big lead and increasing like crazy. Why? It's in a Pizza Hut commercial airing on CBS over and over and over today. The same channel airing the SuperBowl today. I've already seen the commercial 3 times in the past 30 minutes during pre-game. The song could absolutely explode if it's aired during the game.

Dang, 2 songs with 100k+? Work might not even get 100k so there could be just 1 song.

The only thing I could find is that the song was chosen as the theme song for WWE's WrestleMania 32 coming in April. Maybe it's being used in ads? He also made a pretty prominent appearance on the show itself. It just took this lead the other day. Monday Night Raw couldn't have sparked it's sales since that was last Monday. As a WWE fan, I am going to say that I don't think this song will get that much more popularity just by being the WM32 theme song. I mean, since when has music actually mattered to wrestling fans? Edit: Since when has music really mattered to a majority of WWE (or wrestling) fans?

I mean, since when has music actually mattered to wrestling fans? That's a weird statement/question; apparently you like both? Anyway, I think any form of promotion that reaches a lot of people has an impact. If a few million people watch something and only 5% of them then buy or stream, that is enough to have a chart impact.

But there is a majority of fans that don't care for music, or at least theme songs. Also, I didn't really think WrestleMania ever affected the chart too much

Sadly, this might become a routine occurrence now. Gone are the days when the entire Top-10 used to have 100k+ sales..... That's just sad. -_- Spotify The label is making as much money off a song with 10 million streams in a week as with 100k in sales, so i'm sure they're not losing any sleep over it.

Perhaps now with the perpetually declining sales and growing streams Taylor's label will have no choice but to finally put her music on there? Or will they just rely on YouTube now and settle for half the profit everyone else does just out of principle?

Granted not as big as Spotify, but it's still something. Also, the only amendment I could see Taylor making for next era is releasing individual singles like Adele. The pure album sales are probably still more profitable for Taylor.

So are we fairly certain that Zayn will be #1 then?
Crazy it's not even top 100 in Airplay yet.

Stunning for Zayn, I really did not see this coming. And the fact that he got a #1 when 1D were never able to...
This could be a case of frontloaded hype of course and his album struggles to go Gold and is forgotten by the end of the year (like an American Idol winner), but he has a real fanbase and momentum. If they play their cards right we could be witnessing the birth of a new superstar.
