How does it get so much streaming outside of YouTube and Spotify? I thought those two would be 90% of total streaming. Anyway, even under my model, PILLOWTALK is ahead so I will change my prediction to PILLOWTALK at #7 and MM&I #8. It's more like 72-80%. I guess Apple Music etc. make significant contribution............ Oh right I forgot that Apple Music counts now lmao...I wish they'd have counted it a couple months earlier so Hotline Bling would've been #1. Similar situation to YouTube with Gangnam Style a few years ago (can't believe it's already been that long...) clearly both those songs were huge - certainly felt bigger than the ones that blocked them from number one (in the case of Hotline Bling, I speak of The Hills rather than Hello which was undeniably more massive), at least for one or two of those weeks. Nothing can be done about it now though. Acquainted is the next single of The Weeknd? 3 weeks in a row on the Hot 100. It sounds so much like The Hills... Well In The Night sounded so much like Can't Feel My Face lol (which is possibly why In The Night burned out on me so fast, even though I was obsessed with it for about a week in December)

"Shameless" or "Angel" need to be a single, he needs to tap into that HAC audience.

I mean... it sounded so much like, what? (In the Night is much more instantly catchy, stormy, heavy and explosive while Can't Feel my Face bouncy, self-orgiastic and arcade-fantasy, having a extremely attractive full-chorus that's intense as the peak of an indulgent persona and ironically calming as a filtered fantasy) They're VERY DIFFERENT imo, in so many ways including melody. CFMF is so much more excellent overall and makes ITN not standing out at its own.

On the topic of Acquainted, I think it was a bad single choice and one too soon. Dark Times needs to be a single, that is gold.
On another note, pretty sure a lot of people are talking about this song, where do you think Gwen Stefani's new single debut on the chart after the upcoming one?

For example, the "I don't mind/yeah all the time" part sounds like "but I love it" from CFMF, and the lines in the verses in ITN sound like "she told me don't worry about it..." At least to me it does.

'Similar' doesn't necessarily mean two songs sound the same, it just means they have a similar vibe. Both remind me of old Michael Jackson songs brought into the 10s.

On the topic of Acquainted, I think it was a bad single choice and one too soon. Dark Times needs to be a single, that is gold. On another note, pretty sure a lot of people are talking about this song, where do you think Gwen Stefani's new single debut on the chart after the upcoming one? Or maybe Acquainted would be a better single than In The Night... I don't know. I personally like In The Night, it feeled like single material as well.

"Sorry" is definitely becoming the signature smash of the era and maybe his career song tbh. It's his most universally-liked track and "is it too late now to say sorry?" is becoming widely quoted, used in memes, etc.

"Sorry" is definitely becoming the signature smash of the era and maybe his career song tbh. It's his most universally-liked track and "is it too late now to say sorry?" is becoming widely quoted, used in memes, etc. Ironically Love Yourself will probably be his song with the most weeks at #1 lmao To be fair, Sorry probably would've had a LOT more weeks at #1 had Adele not crushed everything. I'm amazed that Sorry even managed 3 weeks with that behemoth released at the same time.

Almost a top 20 peak as a album track. That song just seems more like the single type to me.

But those two are my top 2 choices for singles so its all good either way.

I'm amazed that Sorry even managed 3 weeks with that behemoth released at the same time. That is true. I thought of that as well. That's why I find it so ironic lol LY is definitely not as big of a hit overall as Sorry

I think this week will be good for several songs to reach a new peak.
Prediction: 1. Love Yourself 2. Stressed Out (new peak) 3. Sorry 4. My House (new peak) 5. Hello 6. Work (new peak) 7. Pillowtalk 8. Me, Myself & I (new peak) 9. Roses 10. Stitches 11/12. Adventure Of a Lifetime (new peak) 11/12. Hands To Myself 13. In The Night 14. Here 15. When We Were Young (new peak) 16. One Call Away (new peak) 17. Cake By The Ocean 18. Same Old Love 19. Hotline Bling 20. Down In The DM (new peak)
In the top 50, I think Hide Away, I Took a Pill In Ibiza, 7 Years and probably Dibs and Heartbeat will reach a new peak too.

If there were no Grammy boost, next week sales could look like:
My House - 110k Work - 100k Love Yourself - 90k Stressed Out - 90k PILLOWTALK - 75k Me, Myself & I - 65k Hello - 55k Sorry - 45k When We Were Young - 35k
Curious to see which songs get how much boost.....WWWY should definitely get a big boost.

Predictions for 7 Years this week? It sounds so much like a #1 song in 2006
(And the accent... Omg... Just... Omg... Why does he sound like that?)

^Yes- radio started playing "Rescue Me" before the official push, and it was top 10 airplay by the time the single was released.
