It's sad that the run had to be 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-4-5-6-7 Why did the two weeks at #2 have to mess up everything? Interestingly, if the new chart rules were applied a few weeks earlier, Hello would have been #1 for another week and then you might have gotten your wish. :) 11th week: Old formula (Sales/12 + Airplay/10,000 + Streams/900): 1. I mean, if you're working with those (not so) significant figures and the margin is barely more than 1%, is it really that safe to say? In any case, I don't know for sure, but would the weeks in between Sorry's ascension and the rule change have had the same rankings?
Anyway, too many hypotheticals. Looking forward to the top 10 announcement! I wonder if Puth will get a solo top ten and/or if Gomez returns.

Is there a chance for Til It Happens To You to debut this week? Not this week. Given the sales surge after the Oscars, it is possible next week for the H100 dated 3/19. It'll be interesting to see how it performs on iTunes after the "day after" effect. It's going to need more than a day or two of top 15 sales + streaming to make the H100. |

I find it weird that Want To Want Me is still doing well in airplay and is ahead of songs like What Do You Mean? and Can't Feel My Face. Songs that don't have big follow-ups from the same artist tend to stick around longer. For your other 2 examples, Bieber and Weeknd both had big songs follow up that ate up some of the airplay the prior hits had. |

I watched the periscope feed once and it was pretty painful to get through. It drags on and on. To make it watchable for me personally, I would prefer they come prepared with a lot more fun facts and filler info in addition to fielding questions from viewers. Nothing wrong with casual structure, but it's exceedingly casual. In other words, thank you to those individuals who take one for the team and do a live update on Pulse.  |
