This is ahead of Thomas in audience now so Dylan looks as if he will get the BB #1 and providing he doesn't have a hard fall this week coming up he may squeak out 2 weeks at #1. He's quite a bit ahead of the next closest rising song which is Flatts. NOPE, "My Girl" will not be #1 come next weekend, I expect it to fall hard after being declared #1 for both Mediabase which it is already there and I do expect it to be #1 on tomorrow's Billboard Country Update but since this song is now 1 year old at radio, I am sure programmers are ready to let it go and move on to other songs that are trying to get to the summit as well. I expect Rascal Flatts to be #1 next weekend with "Yours If You Want It" for one week and 2 weeks out, it's going to be either Keith/Carrie- "The Fighter" or Billy Currington who has come on strong with "Do I Make You Wanna" which is threatening Keith and Carrie right now.

Oh I agree with this song much. I actually think Billy Currington could potentially block "The Fighter" as it just seems to be on a complete roll this week.

Is this the worst #1 single of all time? To you it might be. For others not really. This song has been a hit in terms of sales and even in terms of quality I can think of worse songs in my eyes.

Is this the worst #1 single of all time? Drink To That All Night might disagree with that.

Is this the worst #1 single of all time? Some people might say "You Look Like I Need A Drink" Song quality? No, no way. Chart/label manipulation? "Love You Like That", hands down, if we're talking #1 on Billboard. "My Girl" wasn't quite as atrocious in that regard as Canaan's song.

My personal opinion of a worse #1 would be "Fix" by Chris Lane.

Cruise by FGL tops my 'worst country song ever' list; it singlehandedly 'inspired' a host of 'bro-country' imitators to start flooding the airwaves with similar dreck, and the results for country radio have been disastrous ratings-wise as well as quality-of-music-wise. 'My Girl' is awful but I've heard much worse country music over the past 5+ years, and I know I'm not alone in feeling that way.

Dylan becomes the 175th different artist to score a #1 on BB Country Airplay. I guess this means we're going to get "Hooked" next. They really need to release "Living Room".

Well well, I am now taking back what I thought about this song. I see it is still gaining spins and audience so I take it Curb is going for a 2nd week at #1 for this coming weekend. Rascal Flatts are still too way behind to catch Dylan, heck Thomas/Maren still at #2 and not falling too fast. So ya, thinking "My Girl" will have a 2nd week at #1.

But Billboard had a Thank you Country Radio add. I have no idea with this chart right now.

Dylan's song is starting to fall now and RF's song is starting to pick up the pace. By the time Sunday gets here, RF will be at #1. Dylan's song won't fall to far, should be no lower than #3.
