I'm now hearing "I Dare You" is back on the calendar — this time with a release date of March 24. I know it's a Tuesday, so that's weird, but we'll see. That would also put it 8 days before the 1st Vegas show. |

I'm now hearing "I Dare You" is back on the calendar — this time with a release date of March 24. I know it's a Tuesday, so that's weird, but we'll see. That would also put it 8 days before the 1st Vegas show. Certainly a good guess but I would be more excited about an awesome sample or even a song that has some kind of follow up to it coming not far behind. We’ve seen her release songs and give them the remix treatment before (Mr. Know It All). |

I didn't think of the sample thing but that would make sense with that clue and potentially the delay. Maybe there were writing credit issues or something?

Aside from the sample needing to clear, the only other issue I could think of, and my little gay heart is exploding, is if Kelly is featuring an artist on one version, and also doing a solo version. Most likely with a rapper for Pop/Urban and without for AC/Hot AC. And that rapper is Lizzo.

I can't believe she's had the likes of Tom Hanks, Amy Poehler, Dan Leavy, Tyler Perry, Nick Jonas, Billy Eichner, Chrissy Teigen, Patti Labelle, Kathy Bates, Sterling K. Brown, Anna Farris...and I got to see Dr. Phil and Lacey Chabert.

There were like 10 single choices with that album and my brain still runs all the different possible scenarios to this day. 1iota announced selena Gomez will be on the kc show! I’d rather Kelly be on television every day singing a new cover and on The Voice as a permanent judge than having her just release a new album every 2-3 years that doesn’t really do anything. At what point would the label part ways and we would need Kelly to release music independently and to see her tour at the local casinos. I’m fine waiting longer for new music and albums if it means she is a television star every day, on two different shows, both which give her chances to perform live! Yeah, I'll echo what I say every time this subject comes up. Some people act as though they choice is that Kelly do television or be Ariana Grande/Billie Ellish. Her time as a global popstar is over, a time that comes for almost every popstar ever. If you would prefer Kelly solely focus on music, you're not opting for a 'global number one new album ever year' like Ariana Grande, but a much more likely Avril/Christina/Nelly Furtado/Fergie in 2020 type career. The girl, like all long term stars, learned to pivot. And as a result is touring arenas, creating an empire, earning 30 million dollars a year from her side hustle alone and providing hours of nationally televised performances a year. The short-sightedness/lack of perspective always baffles me. I agree with your message of your both but would add that kelly is still accepted mainstream more than the artists you listed. Even just love so soft was bigger than anything those artists have released in the last 5 years. Currently kelly seems to get a little less reception than pink. The meaning of life album had respectable sales for the climate and was way above the sales of the most recent albums by the previously mentioned artists. |

Does anyone remember if on any of the shows she talked about fighting to get a song that she ended up losing to a girl group?
I don't know why i remember her talking about that on the show, but i could be wrong...
