Does anyone have Top 103 countdowns from past years like 1997, 1998 and/or 2000 on KTU? It's been really hard to find them and i don't really remember

So "Livin La Vida Loca" is at 5 and "Waiting For Tonight" at 6 on their Top 103 of the 90s...and yet, 1999 puts them at 7 and 23, respectively. Meanwhile "It's Not Right But It's Okay" is at 1 for 1999, and at 7 for the 90s countdown. Lame...

I AM STILL IN DESPERATE NEED OF THE KTU COUNTDOWNS FROM 1997, 1998, & 2000.

IF ANYONE HAS THESE, PLEASE POST THEM.
I HAVE ABOUT 60 SONGS FROM 97 & 80 SONGS FROM 98.
THAT DOES NOT SEEM LIKE ENOUGH FOR KTU. THE COUNTDOWNS ARE WHAT IS IMPORTANT.
IF ANYONE KNOWS CERTAIN NUMBERS/SONGS ON EITHER OF THESE COUNTDOWNS THAT IS GOOD TOO.

^^^ I would not have a problem with KTU's no repeat workday if a majority of it was stuff from 96 onward. I'd love it if I heard semi-regularly stuff like Neja, Da Buzz, ATB, Perpetuous Dreamer, Tiesto, Ian Van Dahl...etc. If they can't add new stuff from artists they already play, eg, "When The Dawn Breaks", "Take Me Away", etc...they can at least play some former hits of a few years back.

Instead, I get to hear "Another Night" and "Don't Leave Me This Way" every single day.

The question is... why do you guys still listen to it?  KTU has sucked since the late 90s.  The best period was their first 2-3 years, when they actually played club music (i.e. 3rd Party "Can You Feel It" and De'Lacy "Hideaway" and actual imports -Gala "Freed From Desire"-).

And the morning show is a total joke, with the most obnoxious people ever...  I swear I think a requirement to work there is to have the most horrible "laugh"!

And now the morning show is playing....  heavy metal?  They have this special section about the 80s, but instead of playing 80s dance music, they play stuff like "Welcome To The Jungle" and "You Give Love A Bad Name".  WTF???

Whoa, thanks John! I know it's not the exact list broadcasted, but it's actually a better representation of what was played on the station for the year. I think I may have seen the 2004 countdown in this form, and Deborah Cox's SHOTWTH actually was #1, but since it was #1 for 2003, they pushed it back to #11 when the countdown aired.

And quite frankly, I am hopeful that "Jellyhead" at least made it to the KTU 1997 list (...egregiously absent from their 1996 countdown...), should you be able to find it. Z100, which was a staunch supporter of it back in the day, had ranked it as their #95 track of 1996 and #23 track of 1997.

[oh...incidentally, Cascada Z100 spins are at 1058 to date, a strong #1 of the first near-third of the year, with the "Unwritten" in 2nd at 837. It's too early to tell, but I'm positive we've got yet another top 10 robbins hit for the year, and heck, Z100 might pull a 2002 DJ Sammy and have it wind up as #2...we'll see what the year brings... :) KTU's got it at #2, trailing by 5 spins under "Love On My Mind."]

Here's a shocker for you: KTU never played "Jellyhead" in regular rotation. :o

That was all Z100 back in the day. KTU programming at the time (and they were friends of mine) always thought it was too "alternative" sounding.

BTW, the song that we put out and made the countdown with KTU never having played it was, "Sunny" by Blue Bamboo. They didn't have enough songs played that year to fill out the survey so they just stuck a couple that they should have played in. :)

I KNEW OF QUITE A FEW SONGS THAT YEAR ON KTU INCLUDING THE SPICE GIRLS, AQUA'S BARBIE GIRL AND HANSON'S MMMBOP. HOWEVER, DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY RARE DANCE SONGS PLAYED IN FULL ROTATION ASIDE FROM THE LIST. IF ANYONE AS A MADE UP LIST OF WHAT THEY THINK THE AIRPLAY WAS ON KTU THAT YEAR FEEL FREE TO POST! Indeed. They've been incredibly lazy ever since. Not only are their recent year-end countdowns so full of older hits, but their playlists have been overrun by recurrents. I haven't looked at their playlists in quite a while, but I'd bet good money that, if you exclude every hit that was released at least 26 weeks ago, you'll find that their list of current hits (26 weeks old or younger) is extremely small. I'd bet even more money that they have played less than 40 of these recent hits in the last 26 weeks, maybe fewer.

KTU is not the only station with a very small playlist(although I believe they're one of the worst, just by looking at their year-end countdowns of the last 3 years). Playlists all over the country have shrunk by as much as 75 percent in the last 15 years! No radio station is worth listening to when that station is stingy toward new and alternative artists, choosing instead to play the same song 10 times in a single day.
