Sia going to #1 would make her the first 40-something lead artist to hit #1 since Pharrell Williams in 2014... and the first FEMALE 40-something to do it since Madonna way back in 2000 (with "Music" when she was 42).

Ravi , got any early projections for 8/6? 9-11 Don't Mind 9-11 Send My Love 9-11 Rise It will be interesting to see if Rise can debut in Top-10... My predictions for this battle: #9 (=) Don't Mind - 40 - 90 - 11.4 = 23,000 #10 (=) Send My Love - 52 - 87 - 8.2 = 21,300 #11 (NEW) Rise - 140 - 12 - 5 = 20,900

Rihanna must be mad that she rejected the song I think she's content with her thousand Hot 100 entries at the moment.

Rihanna has two songs in the top 10 along with a 9 week #1 under her belt. She isn't bothered.

tbh Glove Slap said it best already Rihanna dgaf about this. Only thing she's doing with relation to this is either being high and not caring, and/or sending nude pics of herself to Katy in congratulations.

Why is Drake still not releasing the video? I'd rather One Dance #1 for 12+ weeks than the bad-to-meh Cheap Thrills #1 for even one week

I can't imagine what Drake's label is thinking not releasing the video already. They have the chance to potentially make history right here with a simple gesture but are for reasons unknown choosing not to. They're already on the verge of having waited too long to make a significant impact (the song may soon be already forgotten). Not to mention that the song has yet to dethrone Panda on Streaming Songs. This makes no sense to me at all. They need to realize that if they don't hurry up their efforts in making the video will have been practically wasted because people will have lost interest, and that time is fast approaching.

One Dance will likely be an Apple Music exclusive first though like Hotline Bling
Glad to see Adele hit the top10 again after Hello's success and When We Were Young falling short

I believe so, but even at that, he's severely limiting his resources by not also uploading to YouTube (if that happens).

Lush Life finally debuts I know, when it should've 20 weeks ago. Wow, is there actually a new surge and even an official push for this?

Not to mention that the song has yet to dethrone Panda on Streaming Songs. I'm sure it did already, early on in its run (I remember being very impressed by it since it wasn't on Youtube and Panda itself had huge streaming).

Notable Tidbits from Latest Chart: -In addition to Too Good and Treat You Better hitting the top 20, For Free hits a new peak (20-17) -Wicked is back up to its peak (46-41), tantalizingly close once more to the hit zone. -THat Part is up to a new peak in the top 50 (64-43) thanks to the launch of Blank Face. Will it last, and could it become a hit? -Getting boosts from iTunes sales are: Never Be Like You (32-26), Toothbrush (52-44), Gold (54-45), i hate u i love u (60-50), Hymn for the Weekend (61-54), and Wherever I Go (67-55). All sales are still progressing as of next tracking week. -New to Recurrent Songs are Cut It (from #40), Oui (from #49), Wild Things (#77), and The Sound of Silence (#79). -Knockin' on the pearly gates are Head Over Boots (55-56, bullet) and T-Shirt (68-68). Also keep an eye out for Me Myself & I (42-49) and Pillowtalk (38-48). -Debuts this week are a good mix of new tracks and Bubbling Under graduates: Love Make the World Go Round (#72, first appearance of Lin-Manuel Miranda on Hot 100), Duele el Corazon (101-86, 12 weeks in BU), You Was Right (107-89, 5 weeks in BU), You & Me (118-91, prompted by iTunes sale, 1 week in BU), La Bicicleta (#95, 1 nonconsecutive week in BU), Lush Life (105-97, a whopping 27 weeks in BU), and No Money (104-99, 7 weeks in BU). -With the debuts of Duele and Bicicleta along with Hasta el Amanecer sustaining, we now have the most concurrent charting Spanish entries since 2013. -Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 returns to the chart for an eleventh frame at #100. (To be honest, I didn't realize it left) Its companion Famous is down 75-88.

Notably, because her success started relatively late in age (compared to others), Sia is a notable exception to the ageist climate at U.S. radio. (Plus, she's "only" 40).
Would be nice to see a single of her hit No. 1, though it would have been even nicer had it been "Chandelier."

I would feel so validated if Cheap Thrills went to number one. I bought This is Acting the day it came out, enjoyed CT as a catchy album track, slowly watched as it took over all my playlists, became obsessed, then watched it debut, have two awesome music videos, and then explode on radio and be heard at every bar (gay and straight) I go to.
It would feel like coming full circle with a song, something that rarely happens. Most of my favorites barely debut, let alone shoot to number one!
On a side note, was the chart not updated today on billboard.com? It's not working for me, it is stuck on last week for me.

Thanks for welcoming me. I was talking about the Pop Songs chart published by Billboard based on Nielsen BDS. It's not removed yet there. Thanks for the clarification. Well, looking at the Billboard chart, I see it's at #13 but with decreasing spins, and two songs ahead of it up to number 10 are gaining. So in order to rank in the top ten next week, it will have to reverse course and suddenly make massive gains, or the songs ahead of it would suddenly have to have massive declines, but I don't see any evidence of this happening, nor see why it would. Well F-ck me, it did go back to #10 after all!!! Can someone please explain to me how this happened? Lol....

Billboard's recurrent rule is 15/20, not 10/20 like with Mediabase (i.e. a song can stick around until it's been on for 20 weeks and falls out of the top 15, rather than top 10)

^ I wasn't referring so much to the recurrent rules. I was just really surprised that ITAPII managed to move back up 13-10 without any spin increases. I guess I was confused, because I thought that the downward red arrows always meant that a song is losing spins and the green up arrows the opposite, but I guess they just indicate positional movement. The differences in spins between the 9-13 range of positions must have been really small then. panos16 was probably right, this is probably the first time this has happened.
