Rise is an Apple exclusive. They'll most likely put it on Spotify next week or the week after. Ideally, they'd do it around the time of the second video release (the one with her in it). Ah, I keep forgetting that! Apple exclusives are usually....two weeks? I think I recall Hotline Bling being Apple-exclusive for that long. If it's 2 weeks, then that lines right up with the Democratic convention ending I think. The end result is the TV promo from the coverage, as well as the check from Apple for the exclusive.

Predictions: (No estimates from kworb this week, so accuracy might be lower) Rank | Song | Sales | Airplay | Streams | Points | 1 | One Dance | 60 | 160 | 18.0 | 37,700 | 2 | Can't Stop The Feeling | 90 | 160 | 10.0 | 34,300 | 3/4 | This is What You Came For | 65 | 115 | 17.5 | 33,300 | 3/4 | Cheap Thrills | 90 | 130 | 12.0 | 33,000 | 5 | Don't Let Me Down | 55 | 125 | 14.5 | 30,700 | 6/7 | Panda | 35 | 40 | 22.0 | 26,300 | 6/7 | Needed Me | 40 | 80 | 16.5 | 26,200 | 8 | Ride | 60 | 95 | 11.5 | 25,800 | 9 | Don't Mind | 40 | 90 | 12.0 | 23,400 | 10 | Send My Love | 55 | 80 | 8.0 | 20,800 |
* CSTF should manage to hang on to #2 spot this week, but it should be its last week in Top-2. * TIWYCF and Cheap Thrills are locked in a close battle for #3 while DLMD slips to #5. * Needed Me is turning out to be quite a late bloomer and has a chance at a new peak. It might even go Top-5 in a couple of weeks. * Send My Love will enter Top-10.

No Both releases are really messed up tbh. Britney doesn't have the chance of top ten without video streams and Katy doesn't have Spotify But Britney posted the official audio on Youtube.

No Both releases are really messed up tbh. Britney doesn't have the chance of top ten without video streams and Katy doesn't have Spotify But Britney posted the official audio on Youtube. Right, but as I actually talked about in a recent Hot 100 thread, audio videos don't do a whole lot in the beginning. The song is very much still new. The hardcore Britney stans and pop music followers know it's out, but the very vast majority of the casual listener does not. Music videos act as promo, but audio videos do not. Audio videos are pretty much like uploading to Spotify, so there's not a large amount of promo to drive people there yet. When a music video gets released, it gets talked about a lot more simply because there's a cool new aesthetically pleasing visual to go along with a new song, and it's way more likely to get shared across social media, which means more people are likely to discover a song through the music video than the audio video, and since it becomes the more popular video of the two for a short period of time, whenever people begin to finally search for the song they didn't know existed before, YouTube will list the music video before the audio video, so eventually the music video surpasses the audio video in views. Though, "Make Me..."'s audio video is doing decently. About 4 million views so far compared to Katy's 5 million for the Olympic video to "Rise," though that song too is getting a full-fledged video soon. I am very anxious to see "Make Me..."'s music video, though. From what we know of it, it sounds like it can do some viral damage a la "Wrecking Ball."

Yes, I agree with you, and I'm very anxious to see the music video too. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that it will be a little like Work From Home. I'm expecting it will be out next friday... And the audio official on Youtube is doing well, I hope it stills this way to help the performance of the single on the Hot 100.

Dang, I thought Ride would increase faster and surely be above Needed Me this week. Also, it does indeed looked like Don't Mind is peaking or at least close to it, unfortunately.

Looks like Ride might've peaked this week. Its AI update today wasn't great, and sales and streaming look like they're starting to slip. It still did way better than I expected, but it doesn't look like it's gonna stick around.

It might even go Top-5 in a couple of weeks. * Send My Love will enter Top-10. I'll update this with kworb's sales estimates (which we now have!) These are the kworb sales estimates that are different from what you have: CSTF!: 93k (Rounded to 95k) Panda: 31k (Rounded to 30k) Don't Mind: 35k Send My Love: 52k (Rounded to 50k) Updated with the changes:CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! - 95 - 160 - 10.0 = 34,900 Don't Mind - 35 - 90 - 12 = 22,900 Send My Love - 50 - 80 - 8 = 20,200 and the most important for last: Panda - 30 - 40 - 22 = 25,700 (which would fall below Needed Me, which would still have 26,200) EDIT: Panda would also fall below Ride if this turns out to be correct

It feels weird to see SML entering top 10 while WWWY didn't...that song definitely felt bigger to me (though neither felt that big). Not complaining though as I'm really happy to see a second top ten hit from 25

^ Me too, it's the happiest I've been to see a song enter the top ten in a while, and it seems pretty much on lock. And if it manages to stay several weeks or even make top 5, I'd be thrilled!

Hopefully we didn't underestimate Panda's streaming value.

If Panda can fall to 8, then maybe Ride can jump 7-6 next week (above Needed Me) making its top 10 run, so far, be: 10-9-8-7-6 (lol)

Also, I did some calculating the other day and I got NM at #6, Ride at #7, and Panda at #8, NM about 5-8k behind DLMD. Also, about three months ago, I wildly predicted that Needed Me would peak in the Top 5, wow, I dunno how I got that correct!

It seems like I took a pill in Ibiza will return to the top 10 of pop songs after 2 weeks out in 12 and 13. How rare is it? First of all, welcome to the board, however I was looking at the charts and I'm not seeing how Ibiza returning to the top 10 of Pop Songs is possible; it's even been removed from the Mediabase chart. Can you show any stats for this?

Wow 30 yrs ago this week my favorite all-time song entered the Top 10 "We don't have to take our clothes off" Jermaine Stewart. Still a jam today in clubs and a few artists have tried their hands at remaking it and never were able to duplicate it's success.

Ask Billboard: Britney Spears' Career Sales & How Big a Hit Will 'Make Me' Be?
7/17/2016 by Gary Trust
A rundown of Spears' top-selling songs & albums, and a look ahead at the prospects for her brand-new single featuring G-Eazy.
Submit questions about Billboard charts, as well as general music musings, to askbb@billboard.com. Please include your first and last name, as well as your city, state and country, if outside the U.S. Or, tweet @gthot20
Hi Gary,
Britney Spears recently got awarded with the prestigious Millennium Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, and now she's back with her new single, "Make Me," featuring G-Eazy. Would it be possible for you to update her album and single sales?
Best regards, Betty Jenkins Los Angeles, California
Britney Spears and G-Eazy's 'Make Me' Has Arrived
Hi Betty,
With Britney-mania in full effect since "Make Me" arrived at midnight Friday morning (July 15), let's recap her best-selling albums in the U.S. and song downloads, according to Nielsen Music (while remembering that her 1998 career launch predates the digital download era).

With 33.4 million albums sold in the U.S., Spears is the 17th-best-selling album artist since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. Among women, she's fourth, after Mariah Carey (55 million), Celine Dion (52.6 million) and Shania Twain (34.7 million). After Spears, Reba McEntire rounds out the top five among women (30.5 million).
Songs "Womanizer," 3.5 million downloads sold; "Circus," 3.2 million; "Till the World Ends," 3 million; "3," 2.4 million; "Toxic," 2.3 million

Chart Beat Podcast: RCA's Joe Riccitelli on Zayn, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake & More
On the Billboard Chart Beat Podcast in May, just ahead of Spears' Millennium Award win and Billboard Music Awards show-stopping (and show-starting) hits medley, RCA Records executive vp/GM Joe Riccitelli previewed that a Spears single was due "sometime this summer."
"I've played this track for a lot of people over the last couple of months and the response has been everything I was hoping for and more, so I'm really excited about that," he said.
As for a full album, her first since Britney Jean in 2013? "Britney's really working on a fantastic record. I've heard about four or five songs that I think are just going to be big hits for her.
"She's found a really great groove."
Radio programmers agree, considering the immediate reception for "Make Me." With three days of airplay in the tracking week (which closes at the end of today, July 17), the track should debut on Billboard's mainstream top 40-based Pop Songs airplay chart (dated July 30), due to be compiled early tomorrow. Hourly airplay on participating iHeartMedia-owned stations Friday helped drive the song's radio launch.
What size hit might "Make Me" become? "The honest read is big," iHeartMedia WHYI (Y100) Miami program director Alex Tear told Billboard Friday. "Today on Y100, it's a whole lot of BS!," as the station played the new single at the top of the hour and Spears throwbacks at the bottom of the hour. Among her classics aired: "…Baby One More Time," "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "I'm a Slave 4 U."
Tear's overall take on "Make Me": "Strong listener feedback, really positive. G-Eazy also complements the song. A good partnership and vibe."
Having been released Friday, "Make Me" isn't likely to debut on the new, July 30-dated Billboard Hot 100, the top 10 of which will be announced tomorrow (first on Periscope; follow billboard to be notified of when Trevor Anderson and I will count down the top 10 and chat with you, as always on Mondays #endofshamelessplug).
But, following a full first week of sales and streaming (ending July 21), "Make Me" should blast onto the Aug. 6-dated Hot 100, whose top 10 will be revealed a week from tomorrow, on Monday, July 25. It could arrive as Spears' first top 10 since early 2013, when "Scream & Shout," with will.i.am, reached No. 3.
Spears' last Hot 100 No. 1 (her fifth) as a lead artist? "Hold It Against Me," which debuted at No. 1 on Jan. 29, 2011. She landed her last No. 1 overall as featured on Rihanna's "S&M" (April 30, 2011).
"Make Me" looks likely to battle for a lofty debut on the Aug. 6 Hot 100 with that other notable song released Friday, Katy Perry's Olympics anthem "Rise." Stay tuned for sales and chart projections this week on billboard.com.

Nice to see "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" likely entering the top 10 this week. Its sales and streaming have been increasing/holding quite decently and has a lot more room to grow in airplay. I can see it sticking around a while and hoping it'll be able to achieve a top 5 peak on the Hot 100!

Thanks for welcoming me. I was talking about the Pop Songs chart published by Billboard based on Nielsen BDS. It's not removed yet there.

It feels weird to see SML entering top 10 while WWWY didn't...that song definitely felt bigger to me (though neither felt that big). Not complaining though as I'm really happy to see a second top ten hit from 25 Not to mention WWWY is a much better song

Thanks for the clarification. Well, looking at the Billboard chart, I see it's at #13 but with decreasing spins, and two songs ahead of it up to number 10 are gaining. So in order to rank in the top ten next week, it will have to reverse course and suddenly make massive gains, or the songs ahead of it would suddenly have to have massive declines, but I don't see any evidence of this happening, nor see why it would.
