Avril Lavigne. I've always loved her music (major nostalgia too because I grew up with her & Britney), whereas Taylor Swift is a little more hit-or-miss for me. Avril has the better voice and personality imo, too.

Avril Lavigne by far.
I've always thought that Taylor took a few pages out of Avril's book. Their music and style is pretty similar, even though Taylor was marketed as "country" for most of her career. I prefer Avril's voice to Taylor's as well, it's not as shrill.
With that being said, I like vintage Avril (2002-2007) the best. Let Go and Under My Skin are better than any Taylor Swift album. Come at me swifties.

I guess musically Hayley is a little more paired with Avril but besides that? I'm a huge Swiftie so Tay :)
Though I gotta admit that I quite enjoyed Complicated and Girlfriend. Both brings back good memories.
However, Tay's entire repertoire is filled with my faves, the faves being Love Story, Back To December, Teardrops On My Guitar, You Belong With Me, I Knew You We're Trouble, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Style (my fave song of all time prob :) ), Wildest Dreams. So many songs I love from her I just can't list them all... Don't think Tay has ever released a song I hate.

Even though she started out as the anti-popstar and she turned into everything that she says she would never be, Avril is still far more authentic because at least we know she is a fake Fendi whereas Taylor tries to act like everything is authentic when in fact it is all contrived and carefully planned.
