One of the worst weeks in a long time...
1. My favorite song ("Ride") is gone from the top 10 and I'm not sure what could replace it
2. WDTA is back in the top 10.....
3. TYB has new peak
4. My least favorite song in the top 10 ("Let me love you") reached top 5 and it looks like it will stay there for months
Things don't look good now. :/
Also, 6 weeks without a freaking video, it's One Dance all over again

At least One Dance technically has a video now, thanks to the Please Forgive Me short film.
Anyway, on-topic, always nice to see new top 10s, and especially surprising that Starboy managed the top 40 after just a day or so of sales and streams. Radio really does have Weeknd's back.

19. i hate u i love u (23-19) YES! Top 20! I thought this was gonna start dying off a couple months ago, but now it's a top 20 hit!  Now PLEASE go to top 10! Such a great song and it deserves the top 10 peak (watch it start slowing down over the next few weeks and end up peaking at like #13 :( ) |

Looks like Chainsmokers may be tripling up on top tens. New single called "All We Know" coming Friday. It's Drew (The guy on Closer) and Phoebe Ryan. I'm feeling another top 5 here.

Really starting to look like Closer, not One Dance, will be the longest-reigning song of 2016. It would probably be year-end #1 if it didn't come out so late in the year.
Also, unless something bizarre is happening within the next two weeks, 2016 will be the first year since 2005 to have three songs be #1 for 9 or more weeks :O

It's at 19 weeks now and I can't see it falling out in the next 8 weeks. It goes to show how much smaller hits can have more weeks on the chart simply because they had a slower rise and fall. It feels weird to see SML on the chart longer than Hello because of how huge Hello was lol |

Honestly the craziest part about Closer's domination is the fact that it's dominating this hard with no Music video seven weeks in. Unless Starboy or the eventual Bruno/Katy singles don't turn up Hello massive in the next 3 weeks, ten weeks is locked THEN we can discuss the OSD record lol.
