Honestly, I love it. I don't think it's quite as good as Uptown Fun, but... how the hell are you supposed to follow THAT up? God damn, that synth. That bassline. That beat. Makes me wanna get up and dance at 2 AM. That synth is very distinctive, what is it btw? It sounds very familiar, is it still in the tradition of the funk/disco era, or maybe it's early 90s new jack swing or something? I'm actually not feeling the song though, seems to be a pale attempt at an imitation/replication of Uptown Funk. |

With just one day of airplay, 24K Magic debuts at #81 with 24.807 audience. :o IIRC Starboy debuted at 71 in airplay and #2 on Spotify while 24k Magic debuted at #10 on spotify and ^ for airplay. Yet 24k magic got 7M views in 1 day and starboy got 5M views in 1 day on YouTube and in sales 24k magic hit #1 on iTunes while starboy only peaked at #2. This will actually be a close race for the #1 spot between these 2 songs |

What is the differences between top streaming song and top demand song? Streaming incorporates all forms of streaming. On Demand is strictly sources where you can search an audio file and listen to it whenever you want (such as Spotify). The main difference between the two is one includes YouTube while the other doesn't. |

Is it actually? I feel like YouTube streaming is weighed heavier than On-demand streaming. Nah, of anything is weighted, it's the on demand streams. YouTube may seem like it's weighted more, but that's just due to YouTube being far less consistent in week to week totals than any other service, resulting is spikes that are easy to detect on the Hot 100, such as video release weeks. |

10+ weeks at #1 seems probable for Closer before Starboy takes over and 24k Magic flops.

There's no way Starboy will catch up before November (it's down to about 73% of Closer on iTunes and is still behind on Spotify and is WAY behind on airplay still). Even in November, I'm not so sure Starboy will get that #1 at all. |

On the note of 24K Magic... Honestly, if I may say, I think some people are still too sick of Uptown Funk to really look forward to more from Bruno Mars right about now. Maybe that's why it isn't doing too great at this very time. :( But even so, I will be absolutely heartbroken if it flops.
And yeah, I am definitely concerned about Closer once again. Let's just hope for the best.
