#32. Tisha Campbell - "Love Me Down"
Yes, Gina from Martin released a much overlooked album in 1992. The second single from her sole album, this Vassal Benford (speaking of overlooked, he does not get paid his dues) production, failed to chart but deserved so much more

#31. Jodeci - "Stay"
The group's third single and second R&B chart-topper was actually co-produced by another act who appeared on this countdown multiple times, Al B. Sure!

All this long time I've been crying about wanting music back, but with this list and Bruno's new album what I really want back is NEW JACK!

#30. Aaron Hall - "Don't Be Afraid"
Guy's Aaron Hall made his solo debut in 1992, with this track from the Juice soundtrack. It became his first of three solo Top 10 R&B hits and the sole chart-topper of the bunch.

Original soundtrack version (my favorite):
So many great remixes too. My favorite of them:

#29. Bobby Brown - "On Our Own"
While Bobby's hit single from Ghostbusters II didn't quite reach the level of success achieved by the original Ghostbusters theme, it was still a major hit in its own right (becoming his 4th R&B chart-topper and making it to the runner-up spot on the Hot 100). Another Babyface and L.A. Reid production. Don't miss a cameo from a future POTUS in the music video...

#28. Shanice - "I Love Your Smile"
Like the track that preceded it on this countdown, Shanice's biggest hit topped the R&B chart while settling for the runner-up spot on the Hot 100. It's her sole R&B chart-topper.

#25. TLC - "Baby-Baby-Baby"
TLC's second single, produced by Babyface and L.A. Reid, became their first of three R&B chart-toppers. With their massive success in the 90's, it's hard to believe they didn't top the R&B chart more often!

Oops... Jazzy miscounted and only included 99 songs on the list, so I'm throwing out a bonus track for #23.
Raunchy soul icon Millie Jackson's daughter released her only two albums during the height of New Jack's success. She didn't follow the success of her mother, but she did record some great tracks.

#22. Whitney Houston - "My Name Is Not Susan"
Whitney caught a lot of flack in the late 80's for abandoning her urban roots for glossy adult contemporary ballads. With 1990's I'm Your Baby Tonight, LA. Reid and Babyface helped update her sound for the R&B scene which had begun to embrace hip-hop elements. This was the fourth single from that album and her fourth Top 10 R&B hit from it.

#21. Today - "Girl I Got My Eyes On You"
Many of the hits of the New Jack era borrowed from hip-hop, utilizing sampled breaks from 60's and 70's soul tracks in the same way that rappers did. For the male vocal group Today's second single, they instead looked to post-disco, sampling the hook from Carrie Lucas' overlooked 1982 club hit "Show Me Where You're Coming From". The single became their sole R&B chart topper.

#17. Intro - "Let Be Me The One"
Intro's second single was produced by Dave "Jam" Hall (who would produce tracks for superstars including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Madonna, and Usher) and sampled Bohannon's "Singing A Song For My Mother". Group member Kenny Greene would become a popular R&B producer in the 90's before his untimely passing in 2001.

Remember The Time is one of my favorite singles, of all time.
Alright is a music video I wish I directed and starred in.
Come and Talk To Me is nice, I like both versions.
Giving You The Benefit, don't think any girls of today can pull that off. I love the production.
Poison is cute and one of the defining NJS songs, just wish it wasn't so played out.
I love all of MJB's 90's stuff, so You Remind Me is no different.
Sensitivity is EVERYTHING!
Let Me Be The One is a nice track, that production is HOT!
Forever My Lady automatically takes me to Forever Shenehneh haha.
Heat of the Moment has the signature LaFace sound. Groovy.
I Like The Way is cute, still hear it often.
Never heard of Today, but the song is kinda cute.
My Name Is Not Susan is so underrated.
Mama Told Me is a bop. Her voice sort of reminds me of her mother's.
I like I'm Dreamin. I need to watch that movie again.
I love all TLC, no need to explain my love for Baby Baby Baby.
Kickin It is cute.
Another Like My Lover = LIFE! Been playing this song all of 2016.
I Love Your Smile makes me miss my childhood.
On Our Own is a radio darling. I love it.
I like Aaron Hall's solo stuff, Don't Be Afraid goes hard.
Stay is what so many R&B singers today try to recreate.
Love Me Down is nice, I need to listen to her album.
Can We Talk is a 90's must have for any list.
Yaassss The Way You Love Me. The vocals, lyrics, video, and production are on point.
Humpin Around is one of my favorites from this time.
Don't Wanna Change The World, yes GAWD. My mother is a HUGE Phyllis fan and played the heck outta this album.
If It Isn't Love is gold.
I like I'm Still Waiting.
I honestly don't remember Aunty Gladys going NJS. But she delivers as usual.
She's Got That Vibe, yesss. That choreography is what I need.
Don't Be Cruel is cute. I prefer Babyface's version though, saw him sing it live.
She's Playing Hard To Get >>>> I Like.
I don't remember My Kinda Girl, but damn, Babyface was on fire.
Feels Good = definitive 90's jam.
Something Just Aint Right should've been #1.
I Want Her = gives me my 80's life.
Night and Day is undeniable. Something about this track is hard to dislike.
Slay me Romantic.
Christopher William's voice in Every Little Thing U Do...woooh.

I am holding my breath for the top 10! So many memories! New Jack was my first favorite "genre." I was so young at the time but I loved those mature sounds.
