Big surprises in this week's countdown. Not only do have a new #1 song, but I also went Easter egg hunting a found a wonderful new (unreleased) demo from Jani Lane. Let's get to the debuts. Four by my count. We got some groovey New Wave from Confidence Man at #60. One step above we find Weezer with a song about killing off them Zombies. This is pretty good Indiepop from them. The best I've heard in a while. Shinedown is back with a more rocking single titled "Monsters", and at #35 as promised brand new ,old ,never released demo material from icons Warrant with a little help from the late great Jani Lane. The style? Powerballad like "Heaven". This is the untouched demo so no studio tricks showing that Jani indeed had some great vocals. The studio version appears on Jani's unreleased Jabberwocky album. I think it sounds better as a demo. This song will shoot up my chart in no time. A couple of songs crack the top 10 this week. La Oreja De Van Gogh whom I have been charting forever is back with another pop ballad recalling past hits like "Rosas" and "La Playa". Atlas Genius is also back with a brand new single. At 13 weeks on the chart it's kinda just getting started, so expect much more action for "Can't Be Alone Tonight" in the weeks to come. .. And last, but not least the big news. taking the #1 spot from DIAMANTE is the mega comeback single from Mötley Crüe. This is also due to the fact that I've seen the film a few times already. It was indeed sex ,drugs and rock "n" Roll. Explicit and real. Everything I expected, but I also felt it needed more time to tell the full story of their career. It needed to be a series. Covering every song, every album, and every antic and adventure, and definitely more of Rebekah Graf. She plays Heather Locklear in the film. For now its my crown song of the week, and should stay there for a good amount of time. New cover art and music videos put the finishing touches on this week's chart. Red means you debut. New Metal Top 10.
It's been a while since I posted one of these up. The last one saw Whitesnake at the top with "Shut Up and Kiss Me". Since then a few songs have hit #1. "Tourniquet", "Paint It On" and "Wicked" from Crazy Lixx. This week the second single off "Forever Wild" knocks off "Wicked" to take its place as new #1. This one is even more 80's Metal.  A few debuts, but highest goes to Stephen Pearcy for "U Only Live Twice" which checks in at #7. Steelwings has a comeback song racing up the chart with "My Rock Is Hot" My last debut is from Burning Witches. You may remember them for "Black Widow". I think this one is even fiercer. off their new album comes the title track "Hexenhammer".

New week means new excitement. This week we have 3 new debuts, including a brand new HOT SHOT debut from Foster The People that makes its first appearance in the top 50. You can say it makes "Style" ish entry. We have Marina's first appearance on my chart without her Diamonds with her single "Handmade Heaven" and slithering their way back onto my music charts is Whitesnake with "Hey You..You Make Me Rock Hard". Rock hard is exactly what I'm doing right now as 2019 keeps dishing out that perfect rock vibe. We have the two sleaze rock kings in the top 2. Mötley Crüe hanging strong with "The Dirt" at #1 and Pretty Boy Floyd easing into #2 with their Powerballad "We Can't Bring Back Yesterday". "Fresh Start" moves up two spots into the top 3 giving Joan Jett and The Blackhearts their second top 3 song. Only "I Love Rock N Roll" holds the crown for 6 weeks at #1. We see a lot of stars and colour Purple as songs make their way up the chart ,and we round out this weeks highlights with Music videos, sleeve art and more surprises in the HOT list. HOT LIST: The first song by the Alternative Rock band Bad Flower is getting ready to make it's debut on my chart. Ironically "Promise Me" sounds more Poprock than Alternative, but a really great Poprock song at that. It also has that classic Poppunk vibe like All Time Low and bands of the sort, so its really no surprise the song clicked with me so soon. One of my favorite bands of the New Retro Wave sound Freeweights haven't released anything since 2017, but I think its time for some new 80's synthwave on my chart. "Close Call" seems to be just what the dr. ordered. I also heard Bananarama have new material out and "Stuff Like That" sounds like the stuff that keeps my chart full of NRG. Last year I charted Samantha Fox with a similar Disco vibe on "Hot Boy", so this Bananarama song should do just fine on this chart.

New Music Metal Chart:
New #1 song as New Years Day takes over the #1 spot with "Skeletons". With its Stitched Up Heart/DIAMANTE vibes ,this song has strong potential to cruise over into the top 60 as well. Two debuts this week. Both songs are Metal with a lot of NRG and both from German Metal icons. First ,Lord Of The Lost is back with their latest single "Loreley". I dare say this one sounds even more ready made for the radio than "Deutschland". Both are great songs, but I'm feeling the NRG in this one even more.

No competition for "The Dirt". Three weeks at #1 and counting. Only one new song in the top 5, and it's my former entry for the rock tournaments from Wild Nothing. A great song that went the distance in that game. One new entry in the top 10 from Death Cab For Cutie. This is their second top 10 on my charts, but it will have to go top 5 to pass up "Crooked Teeth"'s peak. let's get on with the four debuts. Broods is back with another single off 'Don't Feed the Pop Monster'. "Hospitalized" is a Great song with a really stupid lyric music video. This one is as bad as Fitz and Tantrums "Handclap". One of the few times I prefer just listening to the song. Debut #2 is from The 1975 for their new single "It's Not Living (if It's Not With You)". The second highest debut goes to New Years Day. A good band who decided to release the worst single to showcase their talent. I'm opting for "Skeletons" instead. This song is a former #1 on my New Metal Music Chart. The HOT SHOT DEBUT goes to Davey Havok for his band Blaqk Audio. "Infinite Skin" was a pick hit on my HOT LIST a few weeks back and now its ready to cause Havok on this chart. . HOT LIST: let's start off this week's HOT adds with a song that is currently burning up my Foobar. It's one of the singles off Kacey Musgraves's latest album. What we have here is a crafty Country Disco jam. You could actually lure me into one of those dance clubs with this song. This could easily become my "Boy Problems" or "Neon Lights" of 2019. "High Horse" has great music , vocals and a smokin' music video to seal the deal. The next add is from the indeipop band Bleached. Don't know much about them except that this "Hard To Kill" has everything I dig in music. So we got Countrypop, Indiepop well about some straight out Poptart from Taylor Swift? Only this time she is going a bit into Panic! At The Disco territory. I swear this one is giving me "High Hopes" vibes. Even has some Bredon Urie and that's just fine by "ME!". Finally I'm bringing back DIAMANTE to showcase her new video for "Lo Siento". This is the Spanish version of "I'm Sorry".

New Music Metal Chart:
A lot of great Metal music online means another new Chart. This week "Skeletons" bids farewell by cruising over to the top 60. This means we have a brand new #1 song from Stephen Pearcy. Crazy Lixx continues with two songs on the chart, but I do have two new debuts. One I just previewed earlier tonight , but sounds fierce enough to make a quick entry to the chart. It's from the band Voodoo Terror Tribe. The song ''City of Sixes'' is actually a couple years old, but if its good enough for Active Adds it's good enough for me. Plus it comes with a certified Sodom and Gamora style MV. Finally, With "Bent" already losing steam on my chart I decided to bring on the Title track off "Warpaint". This one has some killer AC/DC vibes. Finally check out Rammstein just racing up the chart with "Radio". Watch out Stephen Pearcy.

No way. I've charted Taylor quite a few times before. Her biggest peak on my personal charts was "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Again" at #3.  "Style" came very close to charting too, but "Me!" should have no problem getting chart action.

"Handmade Heaven" just clicked with me from the start.


"Gave You Everything" has hit a slight bump, but could rebound?


Summer is close, and I usually chart a lot of pop during the season.

This week three of the songs from my HOT LIST adds make quick debuts into the top 60. We have DIAMANTE debuting with a 5th single. This time it's the Power ballad "I'm Sorry" or if you prefer the Spanish version "Lo Siento" . At #59 we have a new FUN TART song from Taylor Swift and Brandon Urie from Panic! At The Disco titled "Me!", and my Highest debut goes to Country sensation Kacey Musgraves for her delicious Pop jam "High Horse". The song has both Country and Disco elements and comes together very nicely to compose a sort of Country Pop composition. Very upbeat and catchy. The kind of pop song that usually finds itself climbing to the top of my charts. Very little changes in the top 10. No new entries, and seven of the ten songs are non movers. Including "The Dirt" who hangs on to #1 for 4rth straight week. The biggest movers in this week chart include Foster The People, Blaqk Audio, Neon Punch and Jani Lane who in 4 short weeks has leaped to the #11 slot with "Private Blue World". Music Videos and sleeve art will round out this week's chart high lights. Red are debuts. Purple are big movers and song's peak will be shown with ().

HOT LIST: Starting off this week's HOT adds is one of my favorite bands of the 90's. Collective Soul is back on the hard Rock front line with "Right As Rain". Of Monsters and Men have gone from Folk to Indeipop to this week's "Alligator". This one has great guitar vibes. "Crystals" ended up being one of the biggest songs of 2015-16. Took a hell of a long time to climb up my charts, but it finally went top 5. "Alligator" sounds like the type of Indierock I like on the Alternative charts. Last but not least is 80's icon Howard Jones. Howard was known for songs like "Things Can Only Get better", "What Is Love" and many more synthpop classics. With his new album "Transform" we might be getting a new classic in the form of  "Hero In Your Eyes". Another good one is "Stay With Me" and the BT collaboration "The One To Love You"

New Music Metal Chart:
Stephen Pearcy holds on strong to #1 with "U Only Live Twice". Rammstein quickly moving up to #2 with "Radio". The only new debut is a song I just heard last night. It's the new single from Through Fire titled "All Animal". I usually end up charting Through Fire's singles, but usually at about the time they start slowing down on the Active chart. "All Animal" sounds like one of their most melodic and catchy singles to date and could end up being their most successful song on my chart. All this and a fierce looking wolf on the sleeve art

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

From one Sleeze Rock band to another is the chart highlight. This week's chart sees "The Dirt" trading places with "We Can't Bring Back Yesterday" as the first powerballad off Pretty Boy Floyd's 'Public Enemies" takes over the #1 slot. We also have 4 big debuts. Two acts are charting for the first time on my top 60. First is the indierock band Badflower with a very catchy emo/rock number titled "Promise Me". This song also has some really great lyrics. The other is a new indiepop group called Bleached. They make their chart debut with "Hard To Kill". Bananarama are back as a two woman group with their new dancepop single "Stuff Like That". Finally this week's highest debut goes to Of Monsters and Men and their hot new single "Alligator". A very cool title for a very cool sounding song. A lot of movement on the chart keeps the excitement going. big moves for NeonPunch, Blaqk Audio, Love Razor, and Kacey Musgraves. All strong songs from different music genres. Some new music videos and sleeve art round out the chart highlights. Red =debuts. Purple = Hot moves and () is the song's highest peak to date.

HOT LIST: . .Let's start off this week's add with the latest Kpop band making their debut with the song "Q&A". This like a lot of K-POP songs incorporates the video game sound effects giving the songs a sort of 80's vibe. The young women of Cherry Bullet(cool girl group name) are also singing in perfect harmony. "Q&A"is sure to become a big summer hit.  My next add is the Spanish version of BIG BANGS big hot of a few years back "Sober". This is a superb cover as the music is exactly the same and Josema's vocals even remind of the original vocals of the song. K-POP is very popular over here right now and this cover is giving the song a cool indiepoprock sound sounding a lot like Spanish rock.  My next add is actual Spanish rock. It's Zoe's latest single "No Hay Mal Que Dure". The music video features a gorgeous actress who looks a bit like a younger Shakira.  Two Door Cinema Club are next with the ultrcool "Talk".  Hope it's a comback hit for them?  Finally is Stephen Pearcy back with the second single off ' A View to A Thrill' ."U Only Live Twice"just finished a two week stint as my #1 Metal song, so naturally its now cruising over to the top 60. All we need now is the official MV.

Pretty Boy Floyd hangs on to #1. A great power ballad about longing for those times gone by with your loved ones and friends. This week I have new favorite Death Cab For Cutie song in my archives as "Northern Lights surpasses the peak of "Crooked Teeth". This song will surely be one of my favorite Alt songs of the year when it comes time to compile our own 2019 Alt RD. Two songs break into the my top 10. Both from albums from about 3-4 years back. First we have "New Illusion" from Phases's "For Life" LP. This is the 4rth single that's gone top 10 on my chart. Letters From The Fire also enter my Top 10 with "Bruised". This is the 4rth single I've charted from the band and the it becomes the 3rd Top 10. Take into account that I completely jumped over last year's self titled album and went back to "Worth The Pain" when Alexa Kabazi was still with the band. We also have two debuts this week. Starting off all the action is "Talk" at #60. It's The latest single from Two Door Cinema Club and it comes complete with a really cool 80's vibe. The highest debut is a comeback single from Collective Soul called "Right As Rain". A great song reminding a bit of Tom Petty's "Jammin' Me" riff. Two other songs make their way into the top 50. First is Hinder finally landing at #50 with "Halo" and the smokin' Hot new single from Of Monsters and Men which jumps 11 slots to #40. New music videos and sleeve art and your set to go. HOT LIST: Two great songs make my adds list this week. Both would sound great on a more guitar oriented Alternative Rock chart. Let's start off with my favorite song of the week. Taken right from wheatsquares33 's music chart is the Australian band Stand Atlantic. After a small lineup change they are now a three man band and are on Hopeless Records who are best known for that poppunk/emo alt revival. "Lavender Bones" is actually from 2018, but who cares. It's really terrific and bound to stir things up on my chart.  My last add is another single off Metric's album 'Art Of Doubt'. It seems they have released 5 singles and not one has entered the Alt chart. This week I heard a few of those and really picked up on "Love You Back". The MV features a bunch of people we don't know, so I'm just gonna showcase the official audio instead.

New Music Metal Chart: 
"Radio" holds on to #1 for a second week but it turns into a double A-side with "Deutschland" debuting at #1. I do this when I think both songs are fierce. I might keep Deutschland here and cruise 
"Radio" into the top 60 or vice a versa. I'll see in weeks to come, but for now Rammstein holds the crown songs. We got two debuts. Both have a cool classic guitar rock vibe. First is Greta Van Fleet with single #4 off their latest album. Active is charting the single version, but I'm bringing on the 6:00 minute fire titled "Lover, Leaver (Taker, Believer)". This is the version off 'Anthem of the Peaceful Army', and in my opinion the better version of the song. My last debut comes in at #10 from the band Dirty Honey. "When I'm Gone" has many cool Rock vibes including a little AC/DC and Thunder.

Your Metal flashback:
In the late 80's almost all Horror movies or party movies featured a Hard Rock soundtrack.  A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors' was no exception. Dokken was one of the 80's Heavy Metal bands that were more popular on the L.A Metal Scene than the charts, but just as great This song was the movie's theme song.

New Week. New Chart. As promised we have a new #1 song by Death cab For Cutie in the form of "Northern Lights". Too bad this song never got a proper music video, but I did make a fan sleeve art for it to show appreciation. First time ever at #1 for this band who now exceed their prior peak of #5 with "Crooked Teeth". This is a great song that I liked from the start, and it seems to be safe enough from the competition unless "Private Blue World" jumps 4 slots by next week? You never know tho? Four songs make their debut this week. Three Metal songs, and the song at #60 which covers a big K-POP hit by BIG BANG. I like it better with Spanish vocals. Also the vibe of the song really fits the Spanish Pop genre of late 90's. As for the Metal debuts? We got the newest from Halestorm, A followup single from Stephen Pearcy and since Pretty Boy Floyd have been performing so great on my chart, I decided on a forth single from 'Public Enemies' titled "Paint It On". Rest of the chart features some exciting moves from Collective Soul, Of Monsters and Men, MGMT, and a nice jump into the Top 10 from The Defiants "We All Fall Down". A fast powerful and melodic rock song singing about all those hits life and love dishes out ,and how we find the strength to get right back up and try again. The HOT list is pretty vacant this week, but I decided to add a bonus flashback chart from 1983 in its place. Red = debut songs. Purple = hot moves and () is song peak.

New Music Metal Chart: Rammstein continues the #1 stride with the double a-side hit of "Radio/Deutchland" For some reason youtube censors the official MV? Is it because of the Nazi theme? That's stupid cuz Nazis have been around since the beginning of time. What's they gonna censor next? Life?   the only new debut is the new song from Motionless In White titled "Brand New Numb". I really dig this one, and I especially like that intro. Also the way it just bursts into the banging guitars. Hope this one gets an official MV soon? Meanwhile Crazy Lixx jumps back to #2 with "Breakout", and Ghost's "Faith" is quickly going top 3. Next #1?

La Oreja De van Gogh do it again as they steel the #1 spot from Death Cab For Cutie. LODVG was a top 10 staple during the early 2000's on my charts. songs like "Cuidate, "La Playa", "Pesadilla", and "Rosas" just to name a few all went top 10. When Leire took over for Amaia Montero as lead singer the hits just kept rolling. 29 top 10 hits later they score their fourth #1 on my chart with "Intocables". In other news Walk The Moon finally score top 10 #2 with "Timebomb" and Janet Gardner ex Vixen lead scores a double A side top 10 hit with "Candle/Rat Hole". Speaking of Ratt ,Stephen Pearcy has this week's biggest chart mover with "U Only Live Twice". The song leaps 13 slots into the top 40. Finally three new songs make their way onto the top 60. New comers Stand Atlantic prove Poppunk is alive and well with this week's highest debut for their single "Lavender Bones". Also debuting this week is Spanish Rock from Zoe - "No Hay Mal Que Dure", and Cherry Bullet kicks off the fun with the super catchy Kpop hit "Q&A". HOT LIST: Finally Just like "High Hopes" Panic! At The Disco's  "Hey Look Ma, I Made It" is getting a late start into my chart. The Music Video features Brendon Urie and his Muppet alter ego. Very cool.  Ghost is currently battleing it out with Rammstein on my Metal chart with "Faith", but it's already getting ready to cruise onto the top 60. Up next we have Canadian rockers Monowhales with "Real Love". This one is the followup to last year's hit "Take It Back" and features a great guitar solo towards the end of the song. My last add is from  Adia Victoria . Don't know much about this artist except that she has great vocals ,can speak French and has a super cool song charting on AAA. Also this is the kind of song that seems perfect for that new Quintin Tarrantino flick as well as my chart.

New Metal Chart: 
No Change as Rammstein keep heavy weights Ghost in check at #2 by holding on to the top spot for week  3. Through Fire jumps back into the top 3, Greta Van Fleet goes top 5 with "Lover Leaver Taker Beliver', and a live MV to go along with the fierceness of the song. Be warned the song suddenly grew to a killer 26 minutes. This week sees one new entry from Sweden's own Lipz. The 3rd single off "Scary Man" makes its debut.  "Star" has perfect 80's Vocals, melody and even the music video is so glam perfection Kiss themselves would give it thumbs up.

Great No. 1 and awesome to see Walk The Moon hit the Top 10! That was a 4 week No. 1 on my chart earlier this year.

If you are here it means you want the supersize combo chart, so let's get into the action. Second week for La Oreja De van Gogh at #1. Jani Lane jumps to #3 with Private Blue World. The song was originaly written for "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich" from the year 1989, so it's charting for the first time ever 30 years later. One new entry in the top 10 from the french Synthpop band Le Cassette called "Radio". This song is also a few years old. 6 by my count. On with the debuts. We got 4 this week's chart. The highest is jumping from my Metal chart into the top 60. Its from Dirty Honey. "When I'm Gone" is burning up the current Active chart, with it's flame now setting ablaze my chart as well. It's high debut is also partly due to the fact that I previewed their E.P. and I love what I heard. We also have the Canadian Indie band Monwhales debuting with "Real Love" and a couple of 80's icons. Howard Jones is back with a new album and a brand new single titled "Hero In Your Eyes", and Brian Ice who has been composing with some of Italo Disco's biggest labels is back composing under his own name with "Fly With Me". Italo Disco is one of those instances when I like slower BPMs. The week's highlights conclude with new Music Videos and sleeve art. Red = Debut song. HOT LIST: While the charts are currently charting the new blink 182 song, I decided to pick up a much more exciting song by the Tom DeLong fronted Angels & Airwaves. "Rebel Girl" is the first single from the TBA announced new album. It  has a great Killers/80's vibe and sounds perfect for my chart.  Our next add is also debuting on my Metal chart. Chaos Magic's "I'm Your Cancer" features the drop dead gorgeous Chileana Caterina Nix on vocals. The song is fierce from the very first guitar strum to her powerful vocals. Oh yeah and it's rightfully on Frontiers Music label. It's been eons since The Royal Concept charted music. "Need To Know" is from their 2018 album 'The Wake Up".  This week Five Finger Death Punch left my chart with "When The Seasons Change", so I feel its time to bring on "Blue On Black". Finally and just added to the list last night is the brand new single from Volbeat.  I love everything "Last Day Under the Sun" has to offer. Sounds like the kind of Album Rock  that was the definition of 80's rock format. Great vocals, great melody and a killer guitar solo to tie the bow.

We have a new #1 as Ghost takes the top spot with "Faith". This week we have one new song. Dirty Honey drops off but debuts in the All genre top 60. Taking its place is the new Chaos Magicsong which also makes its debut on the HOT LIST. Debut number two is from Volbeat. I'm definitely going to chart "Last Day Under The Sun" in the top 60 soon enough, so I'll keep "Leviathan" squirming around the Metal chart for time being. Also going Top 5 is Motionless In White "Brand New Numb". This could turn out to be their most successful single on my charts yet?

Welcome to the SMACK DOWN version of my chart. Let's get right into the action on this week's chart with the debuts. Only two this week means a big chart clean up is on the way for Summer. We could have as many as six songs make their exit next week including "Haunted" who this week reaches an impressive 40 week chart run. The debuts this week are from two big Hard rock powerhouses. First is Ghost debuting at #51 with "Faith" which also means a new #1 song on the Metal chart. The highest debut goes to Volbeat who are already looking to have their biggest chart run on my list by debuting in the top 40 with this summer's run away smash "Last Day Under The Sun". That song throws some serious melodic fire. The action continues with two songs crashing the top 10. White Lies score their first top 10 on my chart with "Tokyo", and Foster The People easily taking a slot at #9 with "Style". I think I might actually prefer this one to "Sit Next To Me", but it's chart run will tell the final story. La Oreja De Van Gogh stylishly written as LODVG hang on to the #1 position with "Intocables". This is also the first time in a ,long while that a straight out Pop ballad sits at the top of my chart. Many Power ballads have occupied my #1 position , but not a pop ballad. Part of that is because ,they just don't make them anymore. While LODVG hold #1 ,Atlas Genius is making a strong jump to #2 with their latest single "Can't Be Alone Tonight", so we might see a new #1 song next week? Other notable chart moves come from Stephen Pearcy, Cheap Trick, Dirty Honey, and The Interrupters scoring a second Top 20 hit with "Gave You Everything". The Chart highlights include Music Videos, sleeve art and some surprises in the HOT LIST. Debuts wear RED. Big Movers wear Purple, and songs peak to date wears ().

HOT LIST: Let's start off this weeks Hot ADDS with two song from a couple of albums I decided to revisit. It's hard to believe that I charted 5 songs off Paramore's 'After Laughter" but I sure did. For track #6 "Pool" seems like a perfect summer song for my chart. The only other chart where I recall it getting top 10 action was Daryl the Beryl .  Muse "The Dark Side" went to #1 on Butterflies & Hurricanes chart. I always thought it was a great song sounding more like Muse than most of the actual singles , I've decided to finally set it lose onto my top 60. As for actual new music I'm giving an early push to a tasty sounding 80's like synthpop song from the indiepop band Paper Jackets. The ultra catchiness and music video of "Girl" really caught my attention. The lyrics are also kinda irresistible. I just hope Alternative chart will eat it up too?

*This week's New Metal Music chart
Taking Over the #1 slot is Greta Van Fleet with "Lover, leaver". The youngsters keep intriguing me with that 70's Metal vibe. It's not wonder they keep hitting the top of the chart song after song. This one is no exception. With it's fierce guitars and powerhouse vocals this song is also sure to cruise on over to my top 60 making this a perfect hard Rock summer for 2019. For our first debut we have the Rock band Stardust and their single "Shout It Out". This song had insane Bon Jovi vibes. From "Runaway" to "You Give Love A Bad Name" it's 1984 all over again. I'll also add that this time this perfect metal vibe isn't from Sweden but from Hungary. Thumbs up to a job well done. My last debut is more of a return single. It's DIAMANTE returning with a brand new smokin' music video for round two with "Sleepwalking". This song seems like the perfect single to followup "Haunted". Song and lyrics wise. This time it's not her doing the haunting.

We have a great chart this week. This weeks theme could be "moving on up" as a good portion of the chart features some exciting chart jumps. We also have a new #1 as Atlas Genius snags the spot from LODVG with their new single "Can't Be Alone Tonight". I really hope a new LP is in the works. Especially if the music is going to sound like this. At #7 is a song that steadily has been climbing up my chart in the style "Midnight City" from M83 did, and its no wonder since both songs share a similar 80's synth vibe. "Tokyo" from White Lies is definitely one to keep your eye on. Let's move on to the debuts. Five new songs join the chart action this week. We have some Indiepop from Panic! At The Disco. A very cool AAA song from Adia Victoria . Fierce Active rock from Motionless In White, perfect 80's vibe from Free Weights and even a 6th single from Paramore's After Laughter" album. "Pool" gets the award for perfect Summer song of the year. last ,but not least we say goodbye to 3 of 2019's biggest songs. All #1 songs on my chart. There is Death Cab For Cutie who scored their first #1 song on my chart with "Northern Lights", Pretty Boy Floyd who keep bringing on Glam Metal fire from 'Public Enemies". This time with the Powerballad "We Can't Bring back Yesterday" ,and DIAMANTE leaves us this week with her MEGA smash "Haunted". At the moment all three songs are in line for #1 song of 2019. HOT LIST: .. No introduction needed for my first add. It's Great Van Fleet - "Lover Leaver (Taker Believer)'. You knew this one had to chart here.  Add number two is the third single from Swedish Glam Rockers Lipz . "Star" is probably the most 80's metal one they released so far. The chorus is mega fantastic. My fan made sleeve was inspired by the MV. Next comes the new Debbie Gibson song. It  carries the title of a long forgotten 80's slasher flick - 'Girl's Night Out'. Only it was spelled Nite instead of Night. I bring it up cause I was watching it last night and thought it wouldn't sound so bad in the movie soundtrack. It would surely sound great on my chart . That's for sure.

Let's start off the chart with my new #1 song. Napalm Records delivers again. It's my favorite new song for Power lifting day at the gym. See the name of the band WARKINGS and the title "Sparta". It's everything you imagine and more. Melissa Bonnie the one who delivers the war cries is from Rage Of Light. The rest of the band is still a mystery but they consist of the Tribune(lead singer), The Viking(bass Guitar), The Crusader(Lead Guitar) and the Spartan (Drums). Each member represents a WAR KING and each member plays their instrument in accordance to what they represent. The Tribune brings on the songs of victory and triumph. The viking wields his mighty battleaxe(bass guitar) like Gene Simmons did in "God Of Thunder". The Crusaders always took the front line in battle as does the lead guitar in Metal music, and The Spartan holds is all together in the back round with his Shields(drum kit). The Queen of The Dammed represents Queen Gorga the queen of the (dammed) Spartan warriors who went up against the Persians in the infamous battle of the 300. Totally Awesome Power Metal that I feel the urge to rename "Spartan Metal". Yes I've watched 300 way to many times , and played way tooooooooooo much Dungeons & Dragons in the 90's. Atlas Genius do it again for week number two at #1 with "Can't Be Alone Tonight". We also got two new songs in the top 10. Meanwhile Pale Waves score a third Top 10 hit with "One More Time", and a surprising jump from The Interrupters with "Gave You Everything" to #10. At one point the song even dropped out of the top 30 before climbing back up. It has been racing up the top 20 for the last few weeks. In other news we got "Tokyo" cracking the Top 5 with a song that has been with us for twenty-five weeks and counting. We only have two debuts this week, but take note on "Lover Leaver (Taker Believer)" becoming one of my strongest debuts of the year. The only other debut is a new song from Modest Mouse titled "Poison The Well". This one has been crawling up my top 100 jams and is finally cracking top 60. Pity it didn't do s**t on any of the official rock charts. Other significant movers are songs with the Summer Slaughter logo. Those include songs by Stephen Pearcy, Dirty Honey, Ghost, Freeweights, and Volbeat taking "Last Day Under The Sun" to top 20 status in just three short weeks. HOT LIST: Pet Shop Boys - "What Are Going To Do  About The Rich?" is off this year's "Agenda" (EP).  This one is great. It has a “Beatles-esque” vibe with a big 80's production. The lyrics are supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek with a lot of English royalty images. Good song. Good Question. My last add is from New York based Indierock band WE ARE SCIENTISTS. Their latest single 'One In One Out" has a nice indie 80's sound to it. Very catchy.

*This week's New Metal Music chart . We got two songs entering the top 10. First ,while Active is picking up on Bloody Hammers - "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" which is a great song, I'm getting a stronger feeling "From Beyond The Grave". The video is very cool incorporating the Silent film look from horror classics like 'Nosferatu' and 'Phantom Of The Opera'. Also Slipknot return to the top 10 with their latest single "Unsainted", but the big news is my favorite Metal song of the moment from WARKINGS is still at #1, so this week we get the lyrics for "Sparta"

We got a great chart this week. The action begins with a brand new #1 song from the late great Jani Lane. Originally written in 1989 "Private Blue World" was to be released on 1993's never released 'Jabberwocky'. There are two versions floating around. The Pre production demo and the 1993 album version which ironically sounds a bit more subdued than the Demo. I prefer the 1989 version that sounds more like "Heaven" . You can even hear the difference in the guitar solo. The 1989 version has a bigger and louder production. I'll include both versions so you can choose your own winner. Either way its a great song with those perfect Power ballad lyrics. The only entry in the top 10 is Crazy Lixx with a song off 2017's 'Ruff Justice'. At the same time they have a new album out now with songs I feature on my Metal chart. At some point I'll catch up to the actual era, but for the time being "Hunter Of The Heart" is in this week's top 10. Last but not least we have three debuts. Lipz with "Star", Debbie Gibson "Girl's Night Out" and the highest debut goes to Muse with "The Dark Side". Music videos, sleeves, and Hot List extras round off the week's chart. Red= Debuts. HOT LIST: ..There is so many great summer rock music coming out that some are going straight into the HOT list. Stitched Up Heart - Lost feat. Sully Erna is curently on Active and sounds great for my top 60. I'm also bringing Pale Waves back from 1985 with a great new song titled "Kiss", and finally charting after 15 years, I'm bringing my favorite discovery from the 93' Alternative Rd we just finished. It's "Eastern Bloc" from Thomas Dolby. This one pays homage to his own "Europa and the Pirate Twins" hit and Bow Bow Wow "I Want Candy". It even features Eddie Van Halen on the guitars. It sounds more 83 than 93, but who's complaining.

"Sparta" is the victor for a third straight week. "I'm your Cancer" takes up another two slots to #2 and we have two new debuts. A few months ago I decided to chart a song off The Defiants debut 2017 album because I craved new Defiants music, and now like magic they have answered my crave and released a whole new album on Frontiers Records. The first single "Fallin' For You" is pure 80's AOR fire.  #RockAintDead keeps going strong. Debut number two knocks "From Beyond The Grave" off the top 10. It's single #3 from Crazy Lixx 'Forever Wild' LP. "Silent Thunder". Both debuts are on Frontiers Records and have strong chance to cruise over to the all genre top 60

Great chart this week full of excitement and big moves. "Private Blue World" holds on to #1. White Lies score their first top 3 with "Tokyo", and Volbeat keeping racing up the chart with this year's Summer Rock jam "Last Day Under The Sun". After five brief weeks on the chart the song is now top 10. Five songs say goodbye making room for 5 new debuts. Those five debuts include new music from Angels and Airwaves, The Royal Concept, Pet Shop Boys, A 1993 flashback track from Thomas Dolby and our highest debut titled Lost" from Stitched Up Heart. This time with some help from Godsmack's front man Sully Erna. The rest of the chart features mostly upward action with two biggest jumps going to Halestorm and Greta Van Fleet. HOT LIST: The list starts off with my favorite Indiepop song of the week from Cage The Elephant titled "Social Cues". It's the title track from the latest album and after only a few listens this could turn out to be one of my favorite songs by the band. Next comes the Metal band Through Fire. They got their big push when "Stronger" became the theme song for"Backlash 2016". The biggest hit from them on my chart has been "Where You Lie". Their new single "All Animal" is currently top 5 on my Metal chart, and just outside the top 40 on the official Active Rock charts.  Next add is a surprise collaboration from three big chart names.  "Blow" from  Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and Chris Stapleton is setting the Active chart on fire, and soon will be burning mine up as well. Listen to the exact lyrics to get the sleaze rock feel of the song. My last add is a former #1 song on my Metal chart from Rammstein. By now everyone knows how great "Radio" sounds.

The big news this week is new music from New York's own Wildstreet. I didn't even know they had new music until I saw the thread for "Tennessee Cocaine". Their biggest hit on my chart has been 2009's "Soldier Of Love", but I also charted "Cocked and Ready", and "Open Your Eyes" just to name a few. It seems they released "Raise Hell" earlier this year, so while I wait for a full version of the new single, I'm bringing this one to the Metal chart. The second new song on the chart comes from Alter Bridge with some brand new fierceness titled "Wouldn't You Rather". Finally to cherry up the list are the WARKINGS. That songs isn't budging from the #1 slot, because for the moment I'm addicted to it. Also made a cd sleeve cover featuring The Queen of The Dammed.

A hot chart for the hot month of July brings us a brand new #1 song from The Defiants. About 5 months ago I decided to chart another song off their 2017 debut album, and now "We All Fall Down" sits atop of the chart. The fact that they just released a brand new album makes it all the more special, because I wasn't expecting that surprise. The only entry into this week's top 10 is Stephen Pearcy's "U Only Live Twice" but we do have three new debuts onto the chart. The highest of these goes to Rammstein for some "new German Hardness" in the form of "Radio". Also coming in is "All Animal" the latest single from Through Fire. This one is off their great new album which features a lot of cool Post Grunge and Nu Metal sounds. "All Animal" even has some Disturbed like war cries in the chorus reminding me of "Down With The Sickness". The last debut is another track off St. Lucia's latest album called "China Shop" Very 80's and very melodic. New Metal Chart: Coming very soon is a brand new track from DIAMANTE, but for now the music Video version of "Sleepwalking" has finally reached #1 on my chart. "All Animal" has graduated to my top 60, so I'm bringing on the powerballad "If You Love Me, Leave Me". This grabbed me from the first preview, and just one of the many great tracks on the new album. I might end up liking it more than "Breathe". My last debut is some fierce new Heavy Metal from the band The Raven Age. I did a little digging, and it turns out this is George Harris band. Son of Steve Harris better known as the bassist for Iron Maiden.

A lot of commotion in this week's top 5. First we got Volbeat scoring their first top 5 hit with "Last Day Under The Sun". We also have a brand new #1 song from White Lines. This is their first time at the top of my chart with "Tokyo". With that The Defiants slip to #3 ,and in the mist of it all Jani Lane holds down #2 with "Private Blue World". The action continues with 5 new debuts. Including new music from Godsmack, Metric, White Reaper with my HOT LIST pick hit ,Ed Sheeran of all people with a proper rock jam, and bursting all the way onto the chart at #34 is this year's fiercest entry yet from WARKINGS feat The Queen of The Dammed. They bring that Metal Fire with my Workout theme song "Sparta". I swear If I was a superstar in the WWE this would be my entrance song. HOT LIST: Only six songs in my adds list won't do at all, so I got a big batch to add this week. let's start off this week's adds with DreamNote newest NRGetic single "Hakuna matata". DreamNote will be the 10th K-pop act making their way onto my weekly chart. The Moth and The Flame are back with a brand new album and single titled" Only Just Begun". This is a great upbeat song with vocals reminding me of The Killers Brandon Flowers. Needless to say the song has strong 80's vibes too. My third add is from a Poppunk iconic band that finally released a single I can really get into, so I'm giving quick add action to blink 182 "Darkside". This also means both Angels & Airwaves and blink 182 will go head to head on my weekly chart. The last add comes from The Struts. It's their cover of the Martha and the Vandellas classic "Dancing In The Streets". This song has gotten quite a bit of covers. Up to now my favorite comes from Van Halen, but I think The Struts bring on a pretty strong version of the song themselves.
*NEW Flash edit. If you come form the weekly personal charts thread you will get to see two more adds I just discovered tonight. Both are Fueled By Ramen. One is a new act and the second is a band that in just a few years have become returning superstars to my chart. I'll find out more about YONAKA in the weeks to come, but for now this a great uptempo sounding Poprock song that needs to find a home on my chart.  Now the big news is a brand new great sounding song from MisterWives titled "whywhywhy" this one comes a ultra colorful neon Mv, and I can already bring you the cover art well.

New Metal Chart: DIAMANTE's "Sleepwalking" holds down the #1 song for week #2. We say goodbye to WARKINGS who made a striking debut in the Top 60 and say hello to Another Struts song. This time its the super NRGetic "Pegasus Seiya". This song is based on the same Japanese Manga series "Saint Seiya" and also has strong potential to zoom into my weekly top 60.

Holding on to #1 for a second week is the New Wave sounding smash "Tokyo" from White Lies. More action in the top 5 as Vobeat takes up another two slots to #2 with "Last Day Under The Sun", and the biggest move within the top 10 goes to Blaqk Audio for "Infinite Skin" which jumps up four slots to #6. The action continues with two of the moment's biggest rising rock stars. Greta Van Fleet and The Struts both taking up two slots into the top 10. Last but not least we have out three new debuts. Skillet comes in hot from the grill with the first single off 'Victorious" titled "Legendary". We can never have enough Struts on the list so scoring another top summer hit comes "Dancing In The Street", and the highest debut this week goes to Cage The Elephant for the very uptempo "Social Cues". HOT LIST: Who craves new music? This week I got some delicious Pop for change. Indie and Pop Rock. First up is a song that's been swimming around my mp3. It's new music from Tessa Violet. This one right away reminds one of Alice Merton's hits with that smooth catchy bass line, but it also has a perfect uptempo Fickle Friends like chorus.  A sexy, but classy charged MV puts the whole package together for a perfectly balanced Indiepop tune titled "I Like (the idea of) You".   My next add is the third track I'm adding from 2016's  ' El Planeta Imaginario'. La Oreja De Van Gogh just went recurrent with "Intocables" one of the most successful songs on my 2019 charts, so I decided to go poprock this time with "Siempre". This one also carries elements that make a certified LODVG song. A Perfect guitar and synth combos with strong melodic vocals, but mainly The lyrics give off that perfect LODVG vibe. My last add is a band that needs no introduction. They have had many hits on my top 10 and tho I charted nothing from "Boxes", this new single titled "Money,Fame & Fortune"  sounds like a nice mesh of their Alternative rock and Indiepop sound. Once you listen to the song you will know who they are.

New Metal Chart: Two debuts this week. First is brand new music from Kobra and The Lotus titled "Burn"!. This is the first single off "Evolution". This week's highest debut features the return of every ones' favorite Glam Metal parody band Steel Panther. The have two new singles out. One is a Powerballad which will surely go straight to my top 60, but for now here is the fierce side of the band with "All I Wanna Do Is Fuck (Myself Tonight)". This is a nine minute MV made strictly for the fans that looks like it was filmed in 1988. No movement in the top 4, but  DIAMANTE is holding down the #1 again this week ,and soon enough we will be seeing new DIAMANTE material in the chart.
