20 Y.O. is my album of the day today and I'm enjoying it more than I have in a long time. I know I dump on it a lot, but it is fun and still miles ahead of what basic pop gurls could hope for.

I know I dump on it a lot, but it is fun and still miles ahead of what basic pop gurls could hope for. 20 YO was the last Janet album I loved and has what I consider one of her very best songs, “Take Care”. It’s not an album I would want to compare against or even mention in the same breath as basic pop gurls |

Dishwalla's "Counting Blue Cars" that was released by A&M in the 1990s was just certified Gold. So, where are the Janet certs?! It's just so surprising that Janet does not care. Control, Rhythm Nation and janet could all be 8x Platinum. janet could be 9x Platinum. But, I hear her team is looking into getting new RIAA certs. All For You should be 3x Platinum. Discipline should be Gold. Number Ones is a 2cd album and is eligible for Gold. The Velvet Rope is eligible to 4x Platinum. Design of a Decade supposedly had 2 million in club sales so it could be 4x Platinum. Janet fans and chart fans have been talking about this for 15 years now. It may happen. Soundgarden had an A&M album certified recently, so certs can definitely happen for A&M artists. |
