I'm still gagging over being in the audience for this performance. Janet really delivered and I'm so proud of her!
As far as the audience, please give them grace. They go to the convention center from 9am to 5pm, then concerts from 7pm to 1am. Also drinking in the humid New Orleans weather. Sure, I drove 13 hours from FTL to NOLA and was jumping up most of Janet's set, but these folks are not the loud kind. They were appreciative of what each artist did on stage.
Yes, they muted the audience, but majority of the crowd only cheered before or after a song was finished. They aren't lit haha.

I wish she would’ve added No Sleep, unbreakable and damn baby to the set list. Also what’s it gonna be and mr Luva. Essence is a urban/urban ac crowd so I wish she would’ve played to that more and left black cat, throb so much Betta and come on get up off.

When “Black Cat and Throb”‘were out the current UAC crowd were probably listening to them?? I so agree about “No Sleep and either Damn Baby or Unbreakable” being included though. I was Loving this current Janet performance. I so appreciated more live vocals and less dancing. Janet’s always been a favorite but I didn’t rewatch many of her performances more than once or twice back in the day but bought her tour dvds??? Lol Maybe I’m exaggerating some. Lol I so would take a little more natural and less scripted esque shows than some that seem to be choreographed to the finger snap. Go Janet! (I have seen her twice in concert on the Janet and All For You tours) |
