Here's a review of my experience with Tina Landon and JanFam The Movement in Los Angeles this past weekend!
Got my ticket for Chicago (lawn seat) and Milwaukee (floor 1), so I look forward to seeing Janet again!!

Umm...so that concert...yeah. I was legit shook the whole time. Being in the same ROOM, let alone 7 rows from a living LEGEND. 100s of live shows (including some other legends) and Janet was EASILY my #1. The energy, the attitude, the SEX!! (I was expecting a much more toned down show based on her lifestyle change and the tour wardrobe, but was shocked! When she made out with her dancer, I hollered.) And the hits just kept coming relentlessly and the dancing was sharp and the VOCALS! Mic was turned all the way on. The only part that was a mess was when she did Boyfriend/Girlfriend and was like...hey guys, I'm gonna play stuff I never play and the audience just went limp, to the point where Janet stopped the show to restart it, saying something like "Y'all aren't really feelin this one, we're going to do this again!" Also, the guy next to me was screaming the lyrics pretty much the whole time, as evidenced by my videos, but when she did Best Things In Life Are Free and especially Diamonds and I was singing along, he looked at me like I was crazy and he just sat down, LOL. The "Again" moment made me super emotional. Strawberry Bounce was a fucking MOMENT. As for Ludacris, he was an EXCELLENT opener. I've seen him at a festival years ago and forgot how much energy he has. A terrific set. I had a 90 min. VIP reception before the show. I busted my ass to make sure I didn't miss it. I thought it would be open bar and free food, but we just got a souvenir token we could choose to trade for a drink or keep. I chose the drink. I wound up getting another one because the bartender wasn't paying attention. I paid for a third, enjoyed my food and drink on the balcony and took an authorized pic with a background tour logo graphic. Oh...and a lanyard. Supposedly, something else is coming in the mail. I got my 4th drink from a nice cougar whom I accompanied to get drinks for her and her friend between Luda and Janet. Getting out of the show was a struggle and my phone died while I was calling an Uber. I just walked blindly and in pain (Gout flareup) until I found a hotel, snuck in when someone left, and fortunately was able to charge my phone enough to call an Uber, but not enough to get help if my driver was crazy. All in all, an A+ night. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show!! The quoted part is part of every show, it's Janet just showing off a little personality. But yeah, the crowd always knows the big hits. I only expect the diehard fans to know the smaller hits, bsides and album tracks.

LOL! That's cool. I was just thinking that she a)handled that well and b) wasn't playin games with the Austin crowd because the majority definitely did not seem to be feelin that song. I still can't get over the show.

Also, the most punctual show I have ever attended.

Lots of time between July and September to go to Europe, Asia and Oceania. That October date could be the start of a second leg being planned after international dates for all we know. But one thing is for certain, if she does announce Europe, she has to follow through. I don’t care what the numbers look like. It’s time.

But one thing is for certain, if she does announce Europe, she has to follow through. I don’t care what the numbers look like. It’s time. I've made it my mission to constantly discuss Janet touring internationally, because while she's had lots of success throughout the world, I think her and her team over the years have needed to reconnect with Europe and finally debut in Latin America. The last few years have been very busy for Janet, but she's only done a handful of shows in Asia, Oceania and Europe while focusing so heavily on the US and to a lesser extent Canada and Japan. Overseas dates need more time to go on sale and be promoted, so while I'd love to see some European festivals happen this summer, an announcement would need to happen this month for some strong selling shows in the fall. July and August are too close. Festivals shouldn't be an issue because she proved at Essence last year that she's capable of improving, as many fans online disliked her Glastonbury set. If there's any insecurity about her pull overseas as a headliner, they need to kick into promo gear and possibly add one or two major names to open for her or co-headline with her. I would GAG if she toured with Missy and/or Mariah!

I went to the Phoenix show two days ago. It was great. Bought tickets around noon the day of and got first row in the second lower level for $69.99. They were “sold out” before that. This happens a lot for me. They hide some good tickets until the last minute and release them.

All in all, an A+ night. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. I was at the show too! I got lucky and scored last minute lawn resale tickets for me and my roommate the day before the concert. We had planned for months to get our tickets and kept putting it off. The free parking was a NIGHTMARE, and so was traffic. We ended having to walk 15 minutes to get to the venue. I was pissed that we didn't get into the pavilion until the end of Luda's set. I couldn't believe people didn't know/sing "Boyfriend/Girlfriend" but I did notice that some of the fans by me weren't really jamming to most of the 90's stuff besides TTLG, If and TA. Her mic was definitely ON the entire time! The lawn was packed out I kept trying to stand close the the covered seating to record but security kept telling me I couldn't stand in the walkway smh. Her energy was INSANE and the show was LONG. I was surprised when she made out with her dancer I was like OK auntie! It was a 10 out of 10. I just wish we were able to get tickets for the seated area because the lawn was so ridiculously crowded.

Wow.....not even "I Get Lonely" and "Again"??? I've been to two of Janet's concerts in the past, and people are always singing along to those songs, in particular.

I saw the show on Friday and was in euphoria the whole time. I absolutely loved how many deep cuts she threw in even though I was the only one singing along to most of them in my section. Truly a masterclass in entertainment and solidifying her legacy even further as 1 of 1.

Just saw her last night in Chula Vista and she was so good!
It was a sold out show and I was in the Lawn area, but I kinda hoped I was closer but all the seated areas sold out like the moment it went on sale. However, I still had a great time and the people around me had lots of fun. They only got quiet during some of the albums cuts like “When We Ooo” and the 20 Y.O. era.
Parking was a mess at the venue like usual, as my group just waited it out (over and hour) before cars started moving to get out of the lot.
Ludacris was a lot of fun too.
OH! My group is was trying to figure out which music video of hers did she wear flannel and had her curly hair (janet. era) cause one of us was planning to dress like that for the concert. We tried looking through her videos but couldn’t find it so now we’re wondering if we all imagined that outfit on her.

It's featured several times in the "Because Of Love" video amongst various clips from the tour.

At first, I was confused because I thought you meant you were at the same show as me, but were talking about being outside and I was like umm...where was there an outside section, LOL. Glad you had a good time!
