Kelsea had a song clip on instagram a couple of months ago for a song called "I Just Started Writing Love Songs" which she ended up deleting a short time later. Not sure if anyone caught that clip when she put it up. But I had a chance to listen to the full version of that song and it is definitely a contender for third album lead single in my opinion.

I haven't heard anything, kf1992. I saw Kelsea say in that interview you probably saw a couple months ago that she has 7 songs she considers worthy of the album. On June 7, it will have been 2 years since Kelsea released "Legends" as the lead single for the last album. So maybe we will get something in time for summer, depending on how the current single is charting.

I remember seeing an interview a couple of weeks ago, where she was asked when new music will be released and all she said was "really, really soon", so I hope by June we will have a new single. |

Kelsea Central posted a few other clips in the past week or so. One of them is from a song called "Underestimated", which I have pegged as 1 of 5 potential singles for KB3.
Also, Kelsea recently recorded a song called "Acceptance Speech" with Walker Hayes. Inside sources tell me that he may be planning to release that collaboration to country radio. Not sure how well that would do. Kelsea's parts on the song are fantastic, but Walker's parts need improvement in my opinion.

No, on their Instagram. Actually, I took another look and they were posted a long time ago. "Underestimated" was posted Feb 23, 2018. Underestimated could easily be chosen as a lead single. The other song I didn't recognize was posted Dec 12, 2018.

Wow a friend pointed out to me that the new Katy Perry single leaked clip "Never Really Over" produced by Zedd sounds just like Kelsea's "Get Over Yourself". And I just gave a listen and he was totally right. Really sounds like a rip-off.

Yes they do. The songs are all pitched to the artist for them to actually release as their own song, so the artist is always a part of the panel to help with fine tuning the songs for them. It's an incredible show. Highly recommended it! |

I don't. I'm just hoping that she wouldn't use a songwriting competition on TV to determine her next single. The song is nice to listen to as something for fun, but it isn't strong enough to be viable as a charting hit single in my opinion.

It's an incredible show. Highly recommended it! So we'll be getting all 4 songs or only the one I posted? It depends. The winning song is always released the same day the episode airs. "Be Nice" by The Black Eyed Peas released a week ago today and "We Need Love" by John Legend two weeks ago. That's the only thing that's certain. However, it's up to the artist's discretion on what to do with the other tracks. John Legend kept only the winner and the other three tracks will go back to the songwriters to sell to someone else outside of the show. However, last week, will.i.am decided to keep second and third place as well to put on the album when it releases in a few weeks. As far as "official single" status, John Legend has not yet done anything with "We Need Love" outside of just releasing it to streaming services and digital retailers. The Black Eyed Peas, however, released "Be Nice" as the lead single to their album, shooting a music video for it and doing an airplay campaign for it. Basically, at the end of the day, what happens with these songs is entirely up to the artist, which I think is amazing. The only thing required of the artist is to perform and release the winning choice in some capacity. One upcoming episode that really interests me is the Jonas Brothers. They have an episode coming up soon with this show, but they just released their album this week. It makes me wonder if the winning song from their episode was already sneakily placed on the album and we don't realize it or if the track will be released separately from the album when the episode airs. |

The song is absolutely not catchy/strong enough to be a hit single. It's a cute little bop, but I'm sure every song from her upcoming album is better. |
