Just revealed three more tracks on Swarm (8/9 reveals): Track 1: "Graveyard" Track 2: "Miss Me More" Track 3: "Get Over Yourself" Track 4: "Roses" Track 5: "Machine Heart" Track 6: "In Between" Track 7 Track 8: "End Of The World" Track 9: "I Hate Love Songs" Track 10 Track 11: "Music" Track 12 That leaves just "High School", "Legends", and "Unapologetically" for the three remaining tracks. I didn't get time to hear the three new previews yet, I'll edit in my first impression reviews of those three tomorrow morning  |

Discussions in other places pretty much decided that "Hit Song" might not be on the record as a bonus track, but who knows? We're pretty sure "We Were Like" is going to be a bonus track, but we don't know how many bonus tracks there will be, so as tryexp says, I personally think there is still hope! Meanwhile I'm a bit sad "When I Think About You" missed the record, but oh well, it's not very known in the Kels community so I guess I couldn't be surprised... and besides, I guess it fits more for her first album than her second anyway. Kels has already filmed the video for "High School" so I'm hoping that is the next single! Because I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song, more than "Peter Pan" honestly (but not as much as "First Time"... for now. That song is still my favorite Kels song). |

I really don't understand why they choose to release an album with only 12 tracks when Kelsea has been saying they were looking at ways to release more songs. There is a easy one, just put 14-15 songs on the regular version of the CD, should be simple enough when the tracks are around 3 min. And then release a deluxe version with 17-18 songs (ei. Taylor's Speak Now and Red albums).
Also the fact that until the Opry performance of " I Hate Love Songs" they were not going to include it on this album, and the fact that "Hit Song" probably won't be released as a bonus track, makes me think they really have no clue how to choose songs for this album, and I wonder what other gems ended up on the studio floor.

Not saying this is true for her but a lesser-known fact of the industry is that many label contracts have a cap on the number of tracks mechanical royalties (royalties paid to songwriters for each copy of their song) will be paid out on per album so some artists, especially those who are songwriters as well, don't see the value in adding more tracks to an album if they won't get paid for them. Plus labels also have to pay mechanical licenses on each track to manufacture and distribute the albums, which is also why a lot of albums are capped at 10-12 tracks with additional tracks split into higher-priced deluxe editions. |

"I Hate Love Songs" is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than anything else on this record, and I will be absolutely dumbfounded if it isn't a single. It is a HIT. But so was "Hit Song" and yet they decided to let her put generic pop fluff on the record instead and last era released "Yeah Boy" over "XO", so maybe they have no idea what they're doing. |

Thanks for the detailed explanation:) This explains why albums are usually 10-12 tracks, but not why Kelsea has been saying that they are trying to get more songs out there. They are trying to get the best deal, as we customers are trying to get the best value for our money. It's a business so it's reasonable to be expected to be run as one, but please don't play the "We are trying to get more music out there for you" when that's not realistically how it works. About Hit Song, I find it annoying that apparently the full studio demo was played live before her shows during the HomeTeamTour and no one recorded it :( (as they did with the Thomas Rhett duet song) |

While I Hate Love Songs is my favorite by far, Roses is going to make an awesome single. I wonder what their reasoning was to not send that out first. It has a classic Kelsea sound and its definitely resonating really well with the fans. The internet is thirsty for the full studio version.

A guy commented my comment in a youtube video and said that only the first part of the song until the first chorus finishes will be that slow and then the instrumental of the old snippet kicks in. I hope this is true, but I would actually love the whole song with the old instrumental! If it turns out that the whole song will be slow, I will speed the song up myself. Roses is THE SONG I'm most excited for. This is one of my most anticipated albums this year! |

As far as I know the fully produced version isn't out there, even if the demo is similar, but if it leaks it's not the final version, so I can't imagine it will be a huge deal. |

The beginning of High School reminds me of Name by Goo Goo Dolls which kinda fits the song. I like it better than Legends but Unapologetically the best so far.

Also, read somewhere that "I Hate Love Songs" will be out on October 20th as the last promotional single.
