Maybe they are moving on from legends and releasing the second single...

Apparently we are getting a brand new song this Friday and it isn't I Hate Love Songs: Well, Kelsea Central also said it won't be Roses also. I guess it will be either Graveyard (as people already have the album version), Get Over Yourself or Music (one post she released yesterday is very suspicious).

I fear this era will mirror Brett Eldredge's current...

Regardless of everything else we have already discussed with this record, there is NO way they expected Legends to not even be Top 25 when the album launched. What a mess.

Kelsea was back in the studio on Tuesday redoing some vocals for a certain song.
Miss Me More is a great song. First line is "I retired my red lipstick cause you said you didn't like it. Didn't wear my high heel shoes because I couldn't be taller than you."

Hopefully re-doing the vocals means I Hate Love Songs is the next single.

I haven't heard anything about that, but in the studio version I have of I Hate Love Songs, I didn't hear any flaws at all in Kelsea's vocals. I guess she's just being a perfectionist. Or maybe she found a creative improvement, kind of like the extra vocals she added in toward the end of High School which weren't heard in previous versions. (EDIT note: she was actually redoing vocals for a different song. Not I Hate Love Songs. My mistake.)
I was really hoping Legends would be a big hit for Kelsea. This new album has really good tracks all the way through and it should be very successful.
Has anyone found official confirmation (like on an ordering page) of the 4 bonus tracks on the Deluxe? I know there were rumors that they were supposed to be Fun and Games, Miss America, Naive, and We Were Like. But I haven't seen anything official.

I think if "Legends" is dead, the best option would be to release the next single as a promocional one as well, but since they have already decided on High School (or had) they might wait for release week before sending something new to the radio.
I am quite happy we are getting a brand new song, as much as I love "I Hate Love Songs" I want to hear other things

They definitely need to move on from Legends when the album comes. The song has generated zero buzz and even if they push it to the top 10 or whatever, no one will remember it once its gone, like everyone still remembers every single from the debut sans maybe "Yeah Boy."
They HAVE to get the second single right.

Based off the clips, I would have gone
Roses I Hate Love Songs Unapologetically High School
But I will know more when I heard the whole things...Roses and Love Songs are THE biggest hits though, I think.

Hopefully re-doing the vocals means I Hate Love Songs is the next single. Shouldn't be a single at any point. I don't like the snippet or live version at all. It's the only song I don't like from the snippets. Roses, End Of The World, Get Over Yourself, Machine Heart and Music all sound AMAZING!

kf1992, yes I've heard the entire album. My favorite track is "In Between". For one thing, it references Napa Valley in the lyrics, and I live in Sonoma-Napa which just suffered through all of the terrible fires. Even though it's just a passing reference to her own vacation out here, it still means a lot. But also just the sentiment and being at a transition or crossroads in your life where everything is changing. Also, I won't spoil it, but one of Kelsea's surprises that she mentioned occurs in this song. Beautifully done.
I don't want to give too much away because it's too early before release. As Kelsea sings on the album, "Sometimes the smartest thing you can be is naive."

As Kelsea sings on the album, "Sometimes the smartest thing you can be is naive." I think I know what you mean. Kelsea already mentioned in an interview that the song has a voice mail from her mother. Actually I don't wanna know that much from the album, because all my favourite snippets weren't promo tracks. (Roses, End Of The World, Get Over Yourself, Machine Heart & Music). The only thing I pray for is that every song has an actual bridge, because usually Kelsea has amazing ones. But I read in the comment section of a live performance of Roses, that after the first chorus the songs older intrumental will kick in. Could you please confirm this at least? I need Roses to be like the first snippet we have for ages and not the whole song being like the new snippet. There nothing else I would like to know besides that. Edit: KelseaCentral reported a few weeks ago, that Kelsea said in an meet and greet that only We Were Like and Naive will be on a deluxe version of the album. But nothing official, besides that is confirmed.

My version of Roses is the original recorded version. It starts with spacey guitars before heavy drums enter and the song kicks into high gear. However, this original version may not work on country radio. This is such a great song and it deserves to be heard and to be a hit song for Kelsea. I think we all share the concerns regarding the final finished version which will be released. We just have to trust that Kelsea and the producers will deliver the track in its best possible form.
Thanks for the update on the bonus tracks. It was a bit surprising (but nice) when reports surfaced that 4 tracks would be included on the deluxe. Naive is a really good song and deserved to be on the regular version of the album. I'd be a bit sad if Miss America didn't make the cut on the deluxe. It's a bit of an anthem for girls everywhere.
As a side note, we are actually working on an IC site for Kelsea, which we hope to put up after the album release. She has become our favorite singer.

But I thought you've heard the album and album version of Roses? :kii: Do you know if this original version will be released? Maybe as a single mix or bonus track. It would be amazing to have as many songs as possible with this album! All the released tracks so far + Graveyard (the tracks I've heard) are sooo good! I think I will stan Kelsea after the full album release. I heard the live version of We Were Like and it's such a fun song. But I hope Naive will be another ballad.

kf1992, My version of the album is several months old and obviously some songs have been rerecorded. 2 of the 4 songs released so far are completely different while the other 2 are the same. The bottom line, though, is that this is going to be a fantastic album and hopefully bring her many new fans. Kelsea has done an outstanding job. Her songwriting is amazing.

“Miss Me More” is awful. The production, the nasally vocals, the “chorus” if you want to call it that when the music slows down to the pop track beat is absolutely horrid and possibly the worst I have heard from her. BLEH.
How did that make the record over “Hit Song”??

The studio version of "Hit Song" is absolutely incredible. It starts out with a perfect piano melody with an added voice melody in the background. I'm not sure why it was left off the album. The only two things I could think of were (1) maybe she's saving it for the third album or (2) perhaps she decided not to call out her critics in such a direct way.

Have you heard the song called "Aftertaste"? I read somewhere that people said it is one of the best songs she recorded for the album and it's a shame it didn't make the final cut. And ssomething about a guitar during the last minute of the song.

"Aftertaste" is a somewhat common song within the Kelsea rare songs community. It is fairly widely distributed. There is some nice really nice instrumentation during the final minute (and whole song actually) but I wouldn't necessarily replace an album track with it. The song structure is V1, C1, V2, C2, ending.

I am slightly worried that we are less than 2 weeks away from album release date and no deluxe version announcement has been made. Also, with the slow rise of "Legends" I wonder if the pre-ordering is going less well than expected and they are delaying the deluxe because of that. I remember a couple of videos on iTunes sometime ago about Kelsea performing on some kind of annual Target event, so I assumed they would be releasing the deluxe version, but who knows.
Finally, there were a couple of rumours on twitter about iTunes messing up and giving out "I Hate Love Songs" instead of "Miss me More" last week. Does anyone knows if this is true?

I really hope the deluxe edition is coming November 3rd. I mean it's only two songs more. I need that studio version of We Were Like and I hope for another ballad (Naive). I Hate Love Songs was supposed to be the last promotional track, but Kelsea wanted to re-do some vocals on the track, so they released Miss Me More instead. But I haven't heard anything about that rumour you are talking about. Did anyone in here pre-ordered the signed version of the album? I wonder when they start to ship them. I'm from Germany, so I hope it doesn't take weeks until I get the album.

"Miss Me More" is the best song of the 4 released thus far (and the only one that's memorable). This project is shaping up to be somewhat disappointing.
I'm also truly shook they never moved on from "Legends." That song shouldn't have been a lead single let alone a single of any type. I'm confused how this happened after such a by-the-number great era.
