Ugh. Back to the music discussion. Lol All these gross political discussions are disrupting my ability to enjoy a music chart's discussion thread! Can you get any more privileged?

I wish "Rock" would make it big back on the Hot 100.
I know the term is used loosely but I miss the early 2000s when we had a bunch of giant hits that were more "rock" based..

I'm The One with 60,376 points. Impressive debut!
Billboard didn't said TWIL's streaming numbers and nothing about HUMBLE. and Shape Of You. It'll be hard to predict next week.

Nice to see "I'm the One" debut at #1. I hope "Despacito" will be #1 next (even though I'm not really a fan of the Bieber version haha).

HUMBLE. was #1 on YT just three days ago but is down to #8. Simm's probably predicting this trend to continue throughout the week.

Ahhhhhhhh noooooooo!!! TWIL must get one more week at #1!!! And f**k you Mask Off and XO Tour Llif3 >:(
Also, CSTF will finally be departing us next week. You know, to me it really feels like a long time ago when it debuted at #1. It's looking like it'll be rather high on the Year-End for 2017, which is quite impressive considering how quickly it peaked at the beginning of last summer. At first I thought the year-end radio push would give it just enough to make it in like the 80s or low 70s, but then the Oscars happened.
And speaking of such, I may have already said but I wonder if I'm The One will end up like CSTF and Bad Blood where it spends only one week at the top on the Hot 100 but becomes a big overachiever #1 by hogging the top of the component charts, haha.

Linkin Park, Incubus, Green Day, Matchbox 20 and Lifehouse had top 10 hits as well in the 2000s. Then acts like Panic! at the Disco, All American Rejects and Fallout Boy also did well in the mid 2000s
Anyway back on the chart, I hope Say You Won't Let Go cracks at least a week in the top 10 but it feels like it's gonna stall now

I think it's safe to say that Katy Perry's career is finally dead. If Bon Apatite debuted so low, and CTTR is falling in every category so fast, I don't think Katy has the same staying power like she did in 2010 and 2011. You could say the same with Britney Spears and Lady Gaga as well in that regard.

There's a point in P!nk's career where she seemed to will fade into obscurity forever, and she just had a top 10 hit last year with a soundtrack song from a flop movie. Even Britney is still racking up huge millions from being alive in Vegas. Katy will be fine.

I don't think him being mad at that song is necessarily related to the fact that he's concerned TWIL won't get more weeks at #1. I think he's just simply expressing his general distaste for the song.

Debuts this week:
* I'm The One:
Heard this song after it debuted on YouTube. Great song. Glad Khaled got that #1. Thank you JB.
* 1-800-273-8255
Really gimmicky. The title is gimmicky af. I mean, being gimmicky is kinda Logic's main thing. There are worse rappers though. And he certainly is an interesting one. I wonder if he will have another debut or two next week.
* First Time
I listened to this song 5 minutes ago, and I already forgot what it sounded like. I'm pretty sure it was a generic collab between two artists I don't really like.
* Thunder
More bouncy and energetic than most Imagine Dragons songs.
* Bon Appetit
Not a mind blowing comeback hit.
* Privacy
Chris is really biting a lot of people in this song. He's Jamaican now and does Future adlibs in the back of his songs. Should have just gotten a rap feature. I don't like it when Chris raps.
* Slow Hands
This dude sings like my speakers are cutting out every time he finishes a line.
* Magnolia
Never heard this guy before, but heard a lot of hype. Sounds pretty good. Better than Tee Grizzley. Not SOTY material like it's hyped up to be.
* Sweet Creatures
This guy is actually fairly interesting sounding. Not into this type of music much though.
* Woke Up Like This
This one is actually more impressive than the last one, imo. Although I haven't heard hype over this particular track. He sounds more like Pusha T than Uzi or Yachty.

Wait just wanna say this they fucked them selves over, BBP and IGF blocked each other for two weeks each so they should have had both a 14 weeker and a record-matcher.

Closer holds at 23... it is now above Paris! This song would have been the real record-setter if not for the 25/52 rule.

It happens to all artists. No one is able to land a number one hit every time out. Not Madonna, not Mariah Carey, not Taylor Swift, Not Britney, not Lady Gaga. Some reinvent themselves and come back (Is Lady Gaga's career dead?) Some focus on touring (Did Madonna's career ever really die?) Some actually come back with number ones in later albums after falling flat (Mariah did that)

Songs Off the Chart: 32 Weeks: Mercy / Shawn Mendes Eh. Was bound to happen eventually. 20 Weeks: Deja Vu / J. Cole Wonder if this will be the sole 4 Your Eyes Only representation to actually make the Year-End list, because an album bomb with zero songs to do that would be pretty laughable if you ask me. Not that I really care though. 20 Weeks: How Far I'll Go / Auh'li Cravalho This stuck around longer than I'm sure most would have expected. And it would be pretty darn hysterical if this pulls a Wicked and makes the Year-End list.18 Weeks: Moves / Big Sean 9 Weeks: Green Light / Lorde Fuck you, America. Not giving Lorde another chance will you.7 Weeks: No Frauds / Nicki Minaj, Drake, & Lil' Wayne 6 Weeks: Gyalchester / Drake 3 Weeks: Still Got Time / Zayn feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR Is this gonna become the next Ophelia / Cool Girl / Father Stretch My Hands Part 1 / whatever have you?2 Weeks: FEAR. / Kendrick Lamar 2 Weeks: FEEL. / Kendrick Lamar 2 Weeks: GOD. / Kendrick Lamar 2 Weeks: LUST. / Kendrick Lamar 2 Weeks: PRIDE. / Kendrick Lamar Not surprising that these left, but I do wish they had more staying power.1 Week: Hard Times / Paramore Hoping this re-enters eventually and becomes a hit.1 Week: Lust for Life / Lana Del Rey feat. The Weeknd Thoughts in bold. Yeah.
