I don't feel like it's that type of a song. I understood Julia Michaels sort of crying for the big debut but then I was honestly surprised at seeing Miley emotional as well

I really liked her countrified BMA performance! But why did she seem to be crying? Any scoop? I don't feel like it's that type of a song. I understood Julia Michaels sort of crying for the big debut but then I was honestly surprised at seeing Miley emotional as well Well, it is a fairly personal song for her. "I always thought I would sink, so I never swam" and the line about her never thinking she'd be writing this song three years ago are so heartfelt. This song is basically the response to "Wrecking Ball." That song was about her breakup with Liam, but "Malibu" is about her changing/maturing and getting him back into her life. It's a beautiful celebratory song. |

Are there remixes for this? Not gonna lie, this is cute and all, but it's burned very quickly for me, now it seems it never ends when I listen to it. Maybe the verses are too repetitive? IDK... Anyway, was hoping a remix could give it the oomph I'm craving.

I felt this a bit when I first listened, I couldn't really figure out the structure. I still love this, though  Especially the strong last chorus, and the background vocals in the second pre chorus and chorus |

Wait.. what? Why is this suddenly out of the Top 100 on iTunes? It has been stable the entire time and songs that were released around the same time and had a much worse fate on iTunes (while this has sold quite well so far) are still in the top 50 (Attention, Bad Liar, Crying In The Club). It looks like on Kworb this even had a gradual decline.. what? It is still top 25 on Spotify, too, and is getting healthy radio gains.
