^ It does seem like this is gradually coming to a halt at Radio which seems premature considering it hasn't left the top 20 on iTunes since its release 1 month ago and the general public seems to like it. It's currently on the rise again on iTunes as Miley performed on Jimmy Fallon last night and the song has been discounted on iTunes to 69 cents.

Woah - this shot up to #3 on iTunes and judging by Kworb's site it has a chance of moving up to #2 soon. The Tonight Show takeover and discount worked wonders for this song!

I really want pop rock to really make a legit comeback at pop, but both this and SOTT aren't faring well with listeners. Is this only because these artists are pursuing a new sound? Either way, we have 7-9 (depending on definition) pop rock songs in the top 20. Exactly one year ago we had only 4-6, so the sound appears to be coming back to CHR. At the same time, rhythmic pop/pure pop is getting less popular. |

I do think this will get a second wind and make its way top 10 eventually, but I am surprised this is not just effortlessly smashing. It is doing ok on Itunes even before the discount right? And it sounds like an easy breezy summer hit.

Yeah, I think it will turn around. In situations like this I remind myself of Talking Body in 2015. It looked like it had peaked, or it had actually peaked, and then suddenly turned around and went to #4

Such a shame that regarding chart performance this is turning out to be more like "Can't Be Tamed" rather than singles from her previous era. :/

Strange that pop radio is yanking it already. I've actually heard it quite a lot on 102.7 KIIS, seems like other main stations never got on board :/
Can't say I'm surprised though. This goes against the grain of what's popular and female pop is literally almost nonexistent nowadays
