17. Michael Bublé
Total Points: 391 Number of lists: 15 Average Rank: 24.9 Median: 22
Years Active: 1996-present Biggest album: Christmas (2011) Biggest hit single: Haven’t Met You Yet (2009)
Province: British Columbia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bubl%C3%A9
Only 3 acts in the entire Top 50 didn’t place inside anyone’s top 10. #50, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, #49, Theory of a Deadman, and #17, Michael Bublé.
Individual Rankings:
Daryl the Beryl - #13 Chelsea Press 2 - #14 someguy - #19 Juanca - #19 jtd Thee Stallion - #20 Sambalada - #20 .indulgecountry - #22 matteeeb - #22 aerodynamite - #26 janinho - #28 Leo ✔ - #28 trebor - #28 Leaf - #32 @jamesflame - #35 born - #48

David Foster hesitated signing Michael Bublé because he didn’t know how he would market his music. With the exception of his newest album from last year (so far), every major label album he’s released has been certified at least 4x platinum in Canada and at least Platinum in the US. His album Christmas was the first holiday album to win Album of the Year at the Juno Awards. He’s a huge hockey fan. His tour rider requires a hockey puck from a local hockey team be in his dressing room and he’s co-owner of the Vancouver Giants. Michael has been on hiatus since his son was diagnosed with cancer last year.

One of the most disliked Canadian acts is up next... (it's strange to me how this clue can apply to a lot of Canadian artists...)

We haven't seen Nickelback yet, have we? Just spitballing.
(Also, it's probably bad that I still think Rush deserved better, despite finishing top 20...right?)

16. Justin Bieber
Total Points: 400 Number of lists: 15 Average Rank: 24.3 Median: 30

If I accounted for standard deviations, I’d bet that Justin Bieber would have one of the highest as he appeared on 15 lists, is only the second act to be in 5 top 10s, but his average is #30, one of the lowest.
Individual Rankings:

Justin Bieber’s mother was reluctant to let Scooter Braun sign Justin because Scooter was Jewish. Elders from her Christian church convinced her to let him go. In 2013, the Guiness Book of World Records noted that his video for Baby was the most disliked video on YouTube and he had five other videos in the Top 40 most disliked. Justin was the most followed person on Twitter for nearly a year, until he was surpassed by Katy Perry at the end of 2013. He’s currently still in second place. Justin was the first artist to earn two back-to-back #1s earlier this year when Despacito replaced I’m The One on top of the Hot 100.

19. RushWow! What a shock. I guess it wouldn't have helped, even If I had put them in my top 3? 17. Michael BubléAnother great artist I didn't even know was Canadian. I thought he was french, because of his last name. I guess he be French Canadian? 16. Justin BieberYou all don't even have to guess what I think of this artist? Not even in my top 100 Canadian artists. But it is a travesty to seem him place higher than Michael Buble' ,RUSH and every other artist below #16. WTF?

19. RushWow! What a shock. I guess it wouldn't have helped, even If I had put them in my top 3? A #3 placement on your list would have given them an extra 48 points, which certainly would have put them ahead of Bieber so it would have helped a bit you only have yourself to blame. ;)

I always forget that Cohen was from Quebec. D'oh.
Whereas I was (slightly) upset with where Rush went out, I'm actually pretty satisfied with the position for Cohen, and I'll take top 15. Musically, he's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I get that. Lyrically, he's simply one of the greatest to ever walk among us. The man was a lyrical masterclass in and of himself.

Nickelback were the second highest selling non-American band in the US in the 2000s, behind only the Beatles. They were also the 7th top selling act of the decade. They formed as a cover band called the Village Idiots in the mid-90s, performing covers of Led Zeppelin and Metallica songs. Their crossover album Silver Side Up was released September 11, 2001, and debuted at #2. In 2013, Rolling Stone Magazine readers voted Nickelback the second worst band of the 90s, behind Creed.
