Great presentation and introductory post to Canada (so much I was unaware of). I will probably be the one with only 16 entries in the Top 50... Did you make a break-up of provinces to determine which is the most prolific?

Did you make a break-up of provinces to determine which is the most prolific? I surely did! Then I realized it's probably the least interesting thing about this whole rankdown. lol. You'll see ;)

I haven't had a single one of my artists so far in the reveal. Maybe it's me. :(

It could possibly be me. I had a lot of Canadian country, lol. Me, too! :) I'm more than sure that all the female Country artists have made the list... (and the males have all flopped outside of the Top 50)

I forgot to put Alexisonfire on my top 50.
Not like it would have helped that much, but...whoops.
First time checking in since I sent in my ranking. Looks like things are going smoothly early. :)

Kathleen Edwards
Total Points: 100 Number of lists: 3 Average Rank: 17.7 Median: 3
Years Active: 2002-present Biggest album: Voyageur (2012) Biggest hit single: Back To Me (2005)

Rose "Payola" Nylund βs #2 and #3 picks both fail to make the rankdown. Either he sucks or everyone else does. :( KanenrΓ‘:ke doesn't though. And .indulgecountry kind of doesn't either.
Individual Rankings: KanenrΓ‘:ke - #2 Rose "Payola" Nylund - #3 .indulgecountry - #48

Kathleen Edward's last record was produced by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, whom she was dating at the time. The album was mostly about her recent divorce. Kathleen and Justin broke up a few years later and judging by some of her comments on social media, she doesnβt think too fondly of him nowβ¦ The last track on Voyageur, For The Record, was written about Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks and βthe incidentβ and features Norah Jones on backing vocals. All four of her albums have been nominated for Junos (her first for Roots & Tradition and the other three for Adult Alternative) but sheβs yet to win one. She has been on hiatus since 2014, due to lack of interest in writing and recording. She owns and runs a cafe in Ottawa calls Quitters. However, she occasionally performs at festivals and has three shows coming up this summer.

I had April Wine on my list initially, but they got bumped off when I added some artists and shuffled a few ranks.

Leslie is a member of the group Broken Social Scene, which is more of a musical collective consisting of Canadian artists. Theyβve released five albums as a collective and occasionally tour though not always with the entire group. Feistβs biggest hit (and so far only Hot 100 hit, reaching #8) was originally written by someone else who had written for her. Feist has a writing credit on it but Iβm not sure if she contributed anything to the original song before she recorded it. She performed 1,2,3,4 on Sesame Street and had a cameo in the 2011 Muppets movie. She just released her fifth solo album, Pleasure.

I still remember the first time I heard anything from her, Inside and Out, when I was like 7. I didn't catch the name and spent a while wondering what it was until I found it years later, played it on YouTube and was hooked.
also she's my avatar in case anyone happened to wonder who it was

Mariana's Trench: Saw them at the Juno's and I was quite intrigued. Had no space left in the Top 50 and had to ditch Hedley, Sum 41, Finger Eleven, too.
However: Here goes their first strike (simply unpardonable):
