Ok, everyone's gone now and I'm tired so I'm going to end it here for tonight.
Next up is an artist I debated should have even been allowed to be included in this rankdown...!

Honestly, Metric, I understand. Not for everyone. But JONI being this low? Come on.
(Oh god, Neil Young is going to be too low too, isn't he?)

Knew that I would lose my #3... This is one of my favourite Greatest Hits collections: Joni Mitchell is a National Treasure and I'm happy that some voters included her (albeit being ranked a bit low) So, my #1 may fall shortly. My #4 will definitely be next up; as all the legends seem to fall early. My #5 will fail to chart. My #6 will bomb completely (It's Country). My #7 may show up imminently. My #8 must be upcoming. My #9 will probably be the biggest shocker and biggest Canadian band not to make the Top 50 (Hope, I'm wrong). My #2 & #10 are probably safe bets to make the Top 5.

Sad to see so many greats leave so early but I'm not surprised. Great job so far Devil Marlena Nylund!

Yup, America is a whole hemisphere, not a single country. So Canadians, Peruvians, Brazilians & Costa Ricans are all Americans. I don't think that's how it works. ![](http://images.proboards.com/tongue.gif) North America + South America = America USA is only part of the hemisphere of America (not sure how these basic facts can be disputed)

If you go anywhere in the world, including Canada and The US, and say "I'm American," no one is going to think anything other than the United States.

![:dead:](http://ruadventures.com/forum/Smileys/animated/smiley_resurrect_grave.gif) North America + South America collectively are "The Americas" but America = The U.S. That's according to the US though. In Latin America, where Cristopher Columbus landed, the initial European colonization happened, America is a continent composed of North, Central and South America. It's true that USA took the name of the continent and assigned it to its jurisdiction as it was the first to become independent. There's no right or wrong though. Ask any Latino and we'd say we are Americans too because we identify as part of the American continent, just like a French would identify as a European. Good thing that no country decided to name itself as United States of Europe though :)

33. Robin Thicke
Total Points: 257
Number of lists: 10
Average Rank: 25.3
Median: 23
Years Active: 1994-present
Biggest album: The Evolution of Robin Thicke (2006)
Biggest hit single: Blurred Lines (2013)
Province: (Ontario) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Thicke
I debated including Robin Thicke on here because technically speaking he wasnβt born in or ever based in Canada, even though his father is famously Canadian and he does hold a duel citizenship. However. he has been recognized by the Juno Awards though Iβm unsure if he qualifies for the CanCon requirement Canadian radio stations are obligated to adhere to.
Individual Rankings:

Wayne Gretzky (Canadian!) babysat 11-year-old Robin when he learned he had been traded to the LA Kings and had to leave, leaving Robin by himself overnight.
Robin Thickeβs first break came when Brian McKnight signed him to his production company.
Robin co-wrote songs for 3T, Jordan Knight, Christina Aguileraβs debut album and Myaβs Fear Of Flying.
Robinβs performance of Blurred Lines with Miley Cyrus became the most tweeted about event in Twitterβs history with about 360,000 tweets a minute.

That's interesting. I wonder if it's like that in other North American countries? A Canadian would never say that.

Tomorrow, we venture into the top 30. The next two artists are both longtime players in music and only one person will lose a #1 in the entire 20s. Will it be you? Stay tuned, eh?

Aside; from Finger Eleven and April Wine, I'm kinda lost here. I couldn't imagine what it's like to limit oneself to so few kinds of music. ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif) I heard of some of them, I just didn't know they were Canadian. I didn't even know Metric were from the Great white North, and I love them. #36. Loverboy.I would have easily put them in the Top 10.

Of course, it will be me! lol :) Goodbye to the Order of British Columbia honouree, recipient of the Order of Canada (Officer of the Order of Canada), the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal! Next up I will lose my #4 and #8 At a loss with my #9; the suspense is killing me... lol (I can safely assume now that Triumph went tanking [#19] and that there will be no male Country artist in the Top 50. I see Simple Plan faltering, too)

Aw man, I forgot about deadmau5.
I did not forget about Grimes. Pleasantly surprised by the amount of people that listed her.
