Ugh, why is this album so perfect? Literally suits every mood and the quality is just impeccable.
Iβm mad that I initially slept on βButterfliesβ. Itβs quite the gem and one of the best things sheβs ever done. Obsessed.

The "Space Cowboy" music video is OUT! 
I loved it! The way they incorporated the "golden hour" into the cinematography was so tastefully done here!
My favorite shot is when the camera moves and Kacey's head blocks out the sun during the instrumental part... Really gorgeous!
The little butterfly towards the end is definitely a hint that the "Butterflies" video is next and probably has some sort of connection with this one (aside from the fact that both were shot in Mexico)

Loved the video. Absolutely gorgeous! With the butterfly in the video, i do wonder if the videos will tell some sort of story??? Excited to see the others!
Also who wants to go to Europe with me so I can actually see her on tour!? I don't think I can wait for a US spring leg haha

The effect in the clouds reminded me so much of "Divers" by Joanna Newsom. Other than that, the video (including the effect) is gorgeous, and the song is amazing. Kacey is queen β₯

I love the dark and trippy vibe of the video and how it visually contrasts with the song but I think it suits her personality perfectly. She's not a typical "love songs" singer so I wouldn't expect some bright, cheery video from her just because it's a love song. Hope we get more videos from the album!

That's 2/2 for me, I love the vibe of this video, the trippy aspect and the way they captured this feeling even with a very dark colours and scenery.
Can we please have more music videos Kacey?

This album is phenomenal.
For SNL, I like the idea of "High Horse" and "Rainbow", although I think with the release of the 2 videos, "Butterflies" and "Space Cowboy" might be the way to go.
Or, she could do 1 song from each pair - maybe "Butterflies" and "Rainbow" or "High Horse" and "Space Cowboy".
Either way, I hope she does one "happier"/mid-up tempo song and one ballad from the album.

Music video for "Mother" now on Apple Music. And it's beautiful and perfect.
ETA: Also, I'm just now realizing that..."Mother" may be performed on SNL, given the fact that it's Mother's Day on Sunday. Can't imagine that'd occupy one of the two full performance spots, given how short it is, but yeah.

I'm fine if she performs it, but if its counting toward one of the two songs she's going to sing, then I'm gonna be furious. She could tack that on at the beginning of "Space Cowboy" or maybe "Velvet Elvis" since that one is so short anyway. Or maybe they'll let her sing that as part of the opening monologue or in a skit or as an interlude to a commercial break or something. I'd be fine with that. But if she only gets to sing "Mother" and one other song from Golden Hour on SNL - such a big platform, I will be so so so so so mad. There are way too many good songs to showcase on this album to pay dust to them to highlight "Mother" which isn't even a full song, just because its mother's day weekend. Happy you love your mama Kacey, but you gotta sell records and "Mother" isn't gonna help make that happen. |
