Not Slow Burn charting higher than the so-called multi-format smash High Horse despite being performed second on SNL.

Yeah as much as I love High Horse, it doesn't translate live super well. The production on the studio track is KILLER though. I always enjoy Kacey's live performances of High Horse, but I feel like if you hadn't heard the studio version prior to hearing it live, you may think its a little lackluster. Kacey's vocals SHINE on Slow Burn unlike any other song of hers though, and I think that connects with people really well.

Itβs also nice to see that her SNL appearance is moving ALBUM sales moreso than individual song sales!

I also love the High Horse performances but the perfect production of the recording is really hard to translate the same way with a live band. Seeing the reaction online of both songs, it's clear "Slow Burn" translates much more effectively to a live performance and the band really shines alongside Kacey.

New Kacey performance!
It's probably just an impression, but I felt like the tempo was a little faster on this performance.
Still, she sounds great and I love the whole 60's Priscilla Presley look!
I'm glad she's back to performing different songs on TV, even with "Velvet Elvis" being my least favorite song on the record (which goes to show how great Golden Hour is to me)!
I Hope we get to see a live performance of "Oh, What a World", "Happy & Sad" and "Love is a Wild Thing" somewhere down the line.

I agree the tempo was faster. She sounded and looked great though! I also hope we get to at least see a tv performance of Happy and Sad!

Love, love, love, LOVE! Happy to see her performing my #2 song on the album during this promotional run.

I was able to watch the first hour of The Voice finale last night. I was happy when some girl decided to cover one of Kaceyβs best songs, "Merry Go 'Round," but I did not like the performance at all. She tried to give the song some kind of build like the typical diva song, but the song was not made for that and sounded awful. The repetitive circularity of the song is the whole point.

"High Horse" is the best song on the album but it doesn't translate that well live. "Velvet Elvis" is my second favorite but the live performance above is FLAWLESS. It translated really well. Love all the TV spots she is getting for this album. Her people really believe in her, even if country radio doesn't.

I can't at Pink's 80th Funhouse retread outselling Meaning Of Life's total sales just this year alone. Smh... Glad to see all the Kacey love though!

Pink's tour bundle did wonders for her debut, but I'm surprised at the longevity without a radio hit. "What About Us" was a radio hit, and was crucial to the project's initial and continued success. Her tour bundle greatly helped her numbers, but she pulled in a huge opening week regardless, and that song's success helped carry her through Q4.

P!nk is also really good. The fact that Taylor isn't leaps and bounds ahead of the rest on that list is the eye opener of just how much the music landscape changed since 2016.

Beautiful Trauma is a great album. Not surprised to see it at the top of that list at all.
Always happy to see Kacey "tomato" Musgraves succeeding without misogynist country radio. That's the biggest middle finger she could give them.

The American leg of the Harry Styles tour featuring Kacey started today and I'm getting all the feels with the few videos I've seen on twitter
It's crazy how big of an anthem "Follow Your Arrow" is!

I have to be honest, I am bummed that she's opening for Harry. Does she have any plans for a headlining tour in the US?
I just don't see them fitting together in any way, and I don't want to spend the money to see him to see her. I also don't want to be around screaming little girls.
I can't stop listening to this album!
Honorable Mention: Rainbow
5. Golden Hour 4. Happy & Sad 3. Space Cowboy 2. Love is a Wild Thing 1. Wonder Woman
That's not even mentioning how much I enjoy the entire album, start to finish. Her songwriting! Gahhh.
I also love following her on Instagram. So charming and funny.

I think she'll definitely headline her own tour after her European dates (so, probably next year). I never really cared for 1D, but I do like Harry's solo debut a lot. I personally feel this opening gig for Harry could be a nice opportunity to "broaden her horizons" and reach new audiences... it's a big tour and chances are, a lot of people attending won't have heard of her.. it will get her work to a lot of new people and potential listeners.

Any idea on what sheβs performing on Seth Myers tonight? Insta peeps seem to suggest its Rainbow, lots of requests for Happy and Sad. Iβm hoping for the latter.

I'm guessing it's Rainbow too, considering the photo she put up on Instagram to promote it. Also, it's Pride Month, so I'm sure she'll make that conection.
As much as I like "Rainbow", I wonder when she'll do "Oh What a World" or "Happy & Sad", as both seem to be favorites on social media (and also personal favorites of mine) lol

"Rainbow" deserves its time in the spotlight and it deserves a million more live performances. It is perfect, as was that performance.
