At this point I think a lot of people have moved on. Nothing she can't remedy with a bop but between the two Black Panther tracks and that feature she did that sucked ass a couple years ago... who knows what's cooking (if any).

Almost EIGHT YEARS since ANTI...holy shit, I was still a teenager.
I think most people are like okaay whatever, I don't care now, but will check it out when she releases it. It's sooo impressive that she's currently still one of the most streamed artists on Spotify (#17 with 22M daily streams) with only 3 songs in the past 6 years (2 soundtracks and a feature).

I think she still has enough power for another era. At worst case everyone will be checking the first single because of the curiosity factor. As long as the song is HOT though I don't think she will have any issue "relaunching" her career for as much as she wants to put into it.

Saw she has joined Ariana as the female with the most 1b songs on Spotify (14 each). Just insane since none of her music is from what I’d call the proper streaming era (2017 -).
On that topic, do we know if any artist since mainstream music as we know it came around (eg 40s/50s) has ever taken this kind of break between albums while still at the height of their popularity? The closest I could come up with is JT, 7 years between FS/LS (definitley his popularity height) to 20/20 pt 1. The major difference there being he hopped on like 5 massive smashes with other artists in that interim. Rihanna has just had the BP stuff (which obviously wasn’t made for the charts) and that’s it. Insane.
