Who gives a F about skin care lines and shit tho?? I NEED MUSIC. It's just outrageous at this point. Makes me think the article that came out last week, about her putting her album on hold *indefinitely*, is true...

Who gives a F about skin care lines and s**t tho?? I NEED MUSIC. It's just outrageous at this point. Makes me think the article that came out last week, about her putting her album on hold *indefinitely*, is true... The album is coming this year! She booked a mansion in the Hamptons from July-September (where she is right now), most likely to finalise the album. Also, guess what... Kik Harrell, her long-time vocal producer is there also. Twitter Navy insiders are saying that music is definitely coming later this year and I believe that, even though many are skeptical. 😎😎😎

She’s most likely working on the album as we speak, if not recording then perhaps finalising it. She’s currently in the Hamptons in a mansion that she’s rented out until September. She arrived a few days ago. Kuk Harrell (her vocal producer) is there too and there’s literally NO other reason why he would be. I know Rihanna isn’t exactly prone to being strange, but I honestly doubt that she would give us a cameo on “Believe It” and then just... vanish musically for the entirety of 2020. It wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever. Also she knows herself that “BI” wasn’t the release the Navy had hoped for but she liked the song and ‘PND’ is a close friend so it makes sense.

LMAO I will say though that apparently everything else seems to be priority for her right now and I get it, she's been in the music business for 15+ years now, it's only natural that other interests pop up. I just find it annoying when singers seem to forget that it was music that gave them a career in the first place and it is music their fans connected with first. It should never stop being a priority.

My problem is that she has been promising her fans music for years now. She even said it would be released by the end of last year. It's the broken promises that really get me.

I get the frustration of not having music. But imagine if she did release late last year/early this year and we had an era that ran through the pandemic. It would of been great to have music but we would of gotten no music videos or performances, nothing. I'm kinda glad in a way we haven't got it, so when we do get it we get the 'full' experience.

Well, we don't know when another global emergency is gonna happen. For all we know, she can release R9 when the pandemic is controlled, and the day after another big global setback can start. She's a workaholic and a hustler, if she's really passionate about the music it wouldn't matter. Yeah, we wouldn't have festival performances, or high profile TV appearances, but look at what Katy has been doing while isolated AND pregnant. At this point, I don't really care when she releases the album. I miss her music so much, but I understand the album is not a priority for her rn, and that's okay. I can be patient cause I know the music will be top notch and I'll be here for it, but I agree with whoever said that she brought the chaos herself when she kept promising dates and didn't deliver.

If they're gonna wait for pandemic to end or be controlled, we won't have a new album until 2022.

I get the frustration of not having music. I don't. Even in the context of 'she promised new music in 2019 but here we are11!11!1!!!'. Like who gets frustrated over music of all things? That's like the exact opposite of what specifically her most recent output's vibe is. Even if you want to accuse her of being a liar.. does anyone really put their life on hold over Rihanna's or anyone else's music and will only resume after their albums drop? I can't imagine being in a mindset where I get irritated over artists not being as prolific as I'd like them to be. It just doesn't make any sense. It's one thing to anticipate sth and another to go so over-the-top over things you're not entitled to. She's on her way to taking that bold 5-year gap inbetween albums.. a move only legends can pull off, especially in the ever-expanding pop scene. She'll only drop music when the material is right which is far more respectable than the microwaved albums she used to serve when she was still trying to cement her place in the industry.

Well, I think she spoiled us at the start of her career so we expect new music every year (or couple of years). I don't even think she waiting for when the music is "right" I just think she is busy with other ventures and music has taken a back seat. Rihanna has done it all in music and has NOTHING left to prove. I understand the hustle and I am proud of her for making her name for herself. She is definitely an inspiration.

Anticipation over your fave's music doesn't justify getting mad at them for not dropping it whenever you, a fan, want. If you want to support her in any way possible because you've grown to admire her as a person, well, she's given us plenty of options of doing so in recent years. If you're only here for her music as I am, there's dozens of other music you can listen to in the palm of your hands.

I know I only want the album when she’s good and ready, and feels it is worthy of releasing. I believe she wants it to be the best it can be because there is a lot of excitement around it, and she cares. I’d rather wait for a year or two for something phenomenal than just to release something with mostly filler to appease the fans, now.

Look people make the same argument about George RR Martin taking almost a decade and no book in sight yet and I understand both sides. The artist being under so much pressure isn't cool, but the relationship with the fans is dependent on their hunger and fandom being fed with new content on a semi-regular basis, especially if you have made promises about it.
Also if it was some lesser act she would be gone and forgotten by now. Audiences don't usually have the attention span to keep someone for so many years in their minds and move on to the next big thing. That only increases the demand for whatever is coming next.
The make up thing gets so many jokes because in spite of being a billion dollar business it only appeals/is affordable to a tiny section of her massive fanbase. It's like when they extended the Harry Potter franchise with a teather play only a few fans in London could see (although in that case the play turned out to be terrible fanfiction so it was for the best).
