One of my concerns with music taking so long is how well it will be received. Taking a long time for an album that ends up being a mixed bag just leads to disappointment. The album needs to be top notch quality. Regardless, I'm looking forward to it.

The album needs to be top notch quality. Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. That was my concern also. However I’ve come to realise that the moment she actually releases music or announces an album cover/release date, even if it pertains to the lead single, social media will explode. I just hope that she actually announces it a week or several days in advance so that the hype can truly show. I don’t want anything to be a surprise release - those are boring and, of her peers, Beyonce already did that, twice. |

He was referring to “upcoming” tour dates. 💀 This just proves that she had plans to begin the album cycle between Q4 2019/Q1 2020 but her break up with Hassan (in November 2019), as well as the eventual Pandemic plus lockdown stifled those prospects. She was literally locked in a studio between December-February, and this past Christmas was the first time in which she wasn’t in Barbados in almost a decade. |

I think a Q4 release like she used to do could work. They need to shoot two or three videos for the potential singles whenever it's possible and that's it.

She is dropping everything but the album  “FENTY Furniture” coming before the album too! 💃🏿 I would buy a living room set designed and crafted by Rihanna and her Fenty artisans, certainly! R9 is coming. It’s a matter of when, not if. We just need to enjoy watching her empire bloom for the time being. She’s a worldwide magnate now, which means every business vehicle she creates needs to be nurtured in the meticulous manner for which she has become known in her projects. I would love documentation of her tours. If I’m not mistaken, the last tour DVD was for the Loud tour. A boxset bundling the Diamonds World Tour and the Anti World Tour would be awesome. She struck a deal with Amazon for Savage X Fenty fashion show, and she also has a upcoming documentary reviewing her career, so a licensing deal to exhibit her tour shouldn’t be too much of an imposition. I feel like we would have gotten a half assed album by 2018 or 2019 at the latest if she didn’t care about music anymore. She’s taking her time with it, which to me signals a meticulously made album.
