If you had control over the rollout of singles of an artist era/album, what would you pick for singles? I'm going to post some below.

The Weeknd's Party Monster
1. Starboy (All formats) 2. I Feel It Coming (Pop) 3. Six Feet Under (Rhythmic/Urban, about 5 or so weeks after IFIC is sent to pop) 4. Secrets (Pop, after IFIC peaks but while SFU is in its final stages) 5. Party Monster (Rhythmic/Urban, after SFU peaks and Secrets has had about 10ish weeks on pop. Then sent to pop after Secrets is done and it begins to peak on R/U -- the same thing they did with The Hills could work here imo, especially coming off 3 successful pop singles) 6. Reminder (Rhythmic/Urban if Party Monster does really well and they seem to be thirsty for another single. Maybe pop if it smashes on R/U)

Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface: 1. We Don't Believe What's On TV 2. Polarize 3. Stressed Out 4. Doubt 5. Tear In My Heart 6. Fairly Local 7. Lane Boy Let me rework it; 1: Tear In My Heart (All formats) 2: Fairly Local (Rock, 5-6 weeks after TIMH) 3: We Don't Believe What's On TV (Adult Alt/ Alt at the same time as FL, Pop after TIMH peaks) 4: Stressed Out (Pop, 8 weeks after WDBWOTV was sent there) 5: Lane Boy(Rock, AA and Alt after FL peaks and SO is sent to Pop. Pop if it does really well in the other categories and after SO peaks) 6: Hometown (They could release it to AA if LB crosses over to Pop)

It's fine don't worry about it :) For the record I think your Blurryface era looks good but there's too many singles being sent out close to each other imo. Also having split singles for rock/alt is almost never a good idea, especially since TOP are way more alt then rock but rock usually hops on the current alt single anyways bc of how well it does. Just my two cents tho ;)

TLOP 1. Fade 2. Ultralight Beam 3. Real Friends
Starboy 1. Starboy 2. False Alarm (as an actual single) 3. Party Monster 4. Sidewalks (since having a Kendrick feature seems to guarantee a hit, and because the song's really good)
Nothing against IFIC, but releasing a similar song to Starboy right away wasn't a great idea.
Divide 1. Anything but Shape Of You. Maybe Perfect 2. Castle On The Hill 3. Galway Girl

Just my two cents tho ;) It could work for TOP as they pretty much rule rock even though they aren't really a rack band. Also, a thing with Alt/Rock stations is that they don't shy away from often playing one artist. That means that, unlike on R/U, Pop or AA, you could promote even like four singles at a time.

I wouldn't say they rule rock (assuming you're talking about active rock, which is different from alt), but they can usually get a single to do decently there. They usually just pick up whatever is one alt at the time though no matter how active it actually sounds, so imo it would be a waste to send a single specifically to active, esp since TOP doesn't really have anything that would fit the format super well. Also lmao that's not true, the only time you see 2-3 singles by the same artist charting simultaneously on the alt charts is when one of the singles has really good longitivity.

What I meant is that they would divide the singles between them, but they would promote them at the same time, but at the end there would be a chance that they would all end up on rock. 2 to alt + 2 to rock = 4 to rock. Sorry if it was unclear.

DAMN.
HUMBLE. LOVE.(One of the more mainstream sounding songs.) DNA.(Then he can go back to his lyrical stuff.) LOYALTY.(Kendrick would have to wait to put this one out, with Rihanna on the song, and the mainstream sound, he could get a hit if he releases it at a good time.) ELEMENT.(Again, he would have to wait. This is also one of his more lyrical songs.)
