Beyoncé self-titled:
1. Drunk In Love (all formats -- admittedly going in blind I probably would send a seperate pop single but since I know what happened with pop adopting this song without it going for adds, I think this would be wise) 2. Pretty Hurts (all formats -- I don't know how this only got a half-assed release towards the end of the era, this is a pop smash imo, or at least the closest thing to one from the album, and sent it to the AC formats too) 3. Partition (first to urban/rhythmic ten or so weeks into Pretty Hurts' run, then to pop when PH is done. I'd create a radio edit for pop that cuts out the Yonce part and send it to rhythmic/urban if they want the option to play it) 4. Ring Off (include this on the album then release it to all formats 15 weeks after Partition is sent to pop or when Parition is done on pop if it never really takes off there. The subject manner being so on the nose could hinder it a bit, but it should be a decent size hit across all theee formats as well as UAC) 5. Flawless (remix) (sent to rhymthic/urban along with the album rerelease) 5.1 Jealous (have this be on the rerelease instead of Ring Off, and then release it to pop/the AC formats the same time Flawless is sent to rhythmic/urban -- if it does well on pop and is still hanging on there by the time Flawless is done on urban/rhythmic, which is unlikely but possible, it can then be sent to urban/rhythmic. If they want to keep Jealous on the album and Ring Off on the rerelease, which admittedly makes a bit more sense in terms of the feel of the album, just switch the order of these songs being released as singles and still send send Jealous to the AC formats, but the release plan I detailed can be the same)
Beyoncé Lemonade:
1. Formation (all formats -- probably not gonna do much on pop but she may as well send it there and I think it's what she needs to create hype for the era and it should smash on rhythmic/urban like it did irl) 2. Hold Up (all formats -- I'm shocked this wasn't chosen to followup Formation irl. Should be a decent size hit across the board, probably less big then Formation on urban though) 2.1 Don't Hurt Yourself (AAA -- certainly not Beyonce's home format but it could probably do something here, it reached top 30 irl without even going for adds iirc. Nothing to lose by sending it for adds here, and it could help create momentum for the album for people that would otherwise not be interested) 3. 6 Inch (all formats -- again probably not gonna be massive on pop but The Weeknd's name could help and it should help her return to the top of urban/rhythmic) 3.1. Freedom (if Don't Hurt Yourself does well on AAA, may as well send this as a follow-up, though it could be a bit too abrassive for AAA) 4. All Night (if 6 Inch bombs on pop they can send this to pop at the same time 6 Inch is climbing on rhythmic/urban. If not this should be sent after 6 Inch as a fourth single to all formats, including HAC/AC/UAC as well) 4.1 Daddy Lessons (right around this time have Beyoncé do the performance of this song in the CMAs with the Dixie Chicks and send that remix to Country. The outcome will probably be the same as it was irl but ehh, worth a shot. Also send the original to AAA assuming at least one of her last two AAA did something) 4.2. Sorry (if All Night bombs on urban, they can send this there while AN is climbing pop/rhythmic to hopefully minimize loses. I honestly don't think this is very radio friendly, but it's probably the most urban friendly thing left and it did well on urban irl, so if it looks like All Night might kill Beyonce's momentum this can serve as damage control and keep things rolling until) 5. Freedom (all formats including an AAA re-impact if it flops the first time. this deep into the era they need to do something big, so what they should do is remove Kendrick Lamar from the album version. Then they release a remix with him around the time it comes to release a 5th single, which not only features his verse but changes the beat into something a bit more trap-y and urban friendly while keeping the overall feel of the original. Then they release a new video which is in the vein of Formation's video but even more political, featuring footage of Black Lives Matter protests intercut with Beyoncé and Kendrick performing -- Beyoncé is shown walking throughout the video and towards the end she is shown breaking into a jail and freeing the black inmates inside while evading white officers. Maybe earlier in the video it the inmates could be shown being wrongfully inducted or inducted for petty crimes. This should create enough controversy and buzz for this to do well across all formats, specifically rhythmic and urban, and send her off on the right foot for her next era)

Taylor Swift - Fearless 1. Love Story (Country/Pop) 2. White Horse (Country) 3. You Belong With Me (Country/Pop) 4. You're Not Sorry (Country)/Forever and Always (Pop) 5. Fearless (Country)
Taylor Swift - Speak Now 1. Sparks Fly (Country/Pop) 2. Back to December (Country/Pop) 3. Mean (Country) - maybe throw out "The Story of Us" to pop like what happened irl 4. Mine (Country/Pop) 5. Ours (Country) - maybe release "Superman" to pop but I can't really see it working
Taylor Swift - Red 1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Pop)/Begin Again (Country) 2. I Knew You Were Trouble. (Pop) - I think "Begin Again" could take longer to peak than WANEGBT peaking on pop so the end of chart runs for IKYWT and BA might coincide - otherwise release "Red" earlier to country 3. Red (Country/Pop) 4. 22 (Pop)/Stay Stay Stay (Country) 5. Everything Has Changed (Pop)/All Too Well (Country) Somewhere along the era, try to push "State of Grace" and/or "Holy Ground" to AAA - the first one will probably be around the IKWYT release and if there is a second one probably during the summer of 2014 (around the fourth single?)
Katy Perry - Prism 1. Roar 2. Dark Horse 3. Walking on Air 4. Birthday (with a different video)/This Is How We Do 5. Legendary Lovers
Little Big Town - Tornado 1. Pontoon 2. Tornado 3. Pavement Ends 4. Sober

4 your eyez only.
1. Deja Vu 2. Neighbors(why tf did he not release this? It has a lot of potential to be at least a sleeper and seems like a good second single.) 3. Ville Mentality 4. Immortal( If Ville Mentality fails, he could try and push this. He can't release it at a bad time and he would need to wait for Deja Vu to die down.)

Melanie Martinez -- Cry Baby: (all singles listed to CHR/HAC/RHY)
1. Pity Party (with all the promo and publicity that was given to Dollhouse irl, sent with a radio edit that takes out the scream.) 2. Pacify Her (send this to alt as well to gauge interest for her on that format as this is one of her more alt friendly songs -- if it does well there send all subsequent singles to pop as well) 3. Soap (wirh a modified drop -- maybe there's a bit more rhythm or something during it) 4. Dollhouse (with a rent a rapper remix -- if Pacify Her flops then they should skip to this)
And for something on the completely opposite side of the spectrum:
Slipknot -- The Grey Chapter: (all singles listed to Active)
(0. Release Sarcastrophe as a promo single a few days before The Devil in I, like they did with The Negative One irl but with less of a gap in between the two songs) 1. The Devil in I (to alt as well) 2. Killpop (releasing Custer second instead of this irl was a massive head scratcher -- this was a very obvious single. To alt as well with an edit that trims off the screaming at the end) 3. The Negative One (with a radio edit that trims it down much of the intro and a bit of the outro and bridge) 4. If Rain is What You Want (with a radio edit that trims off most of the intro and the instrumental buildup part of the bridge and gets to the climax faster so it has a more typical song structure)

Tove Lo: Queens of the Clouds (all singles to CHR/RHY/HAC unless otherwise specified)
1. Habits (Stay High): (send this to alt too, but unlike irl send it to pop as it's climbing CHR, not before.) 2. Talking Body 3. Moments (releasing Timebomb then pulling it for this right before the freeze was messy af and honestly may have at least partly doomed Tove Lo's career. Timebomb was a terrible single choice, just realize this instead in the first place) 4. Not On Drugs (this is a lot harder as there's no super obvious single choices left, but I would go with this as it's one of the most radio friendly choices left, fits the sound established by the earlier 3 singles, and it has the best sales of any album track by a decent amount. Alternately they could release Thousand Miles, which seems to be the other popular album track, but it feels more like an album track imo.)

I thought scrapping Not On Drugs for Talking Body as #2 was a smart move (Not On Drugs would make good #4 thought), and thought Timebomb was a bomb from the start.

After listening to Melodrama:
1. Perfect Places released to Alt/AAA/HAC/CHR/RHY simultaneously. Give it a high budget music video, a few performances etc basically along the lines of what Green Light got. 2. Green Light released to all applicable formats simultaneously. Plan to release it about 15 weeks into Perfect Places' chart run and drop the album around the same time, but release it sooner if Perfect Places flops. Yeah it could underperform like it does irl, but at minimum I think it would do better coming off a big single and Perfect Places would be huge as a lead single I think. 3. Supercut released to all applicable formats simultaneously. I dunno why this one is being slept on, it's a great song and one of the most radio friendly on the album imo, though it would need a radio edit to trim off the final 50 or so seconds. Again, released about 15 weeks into Green Light's run, unless it's done sooner then that. 4. Sober released to Alt/AAA and/or CHR/HAC/RHY depending on how the previous 3 singles do on those formats. It has pretty good sales for a Lorde non single and even though it's a bit less radio friendly, I still think it could be a minor hit if she has momentum at this point.

Sorry for the double post, but I really enjoy doing this. Posted this on a different thread, but this is what I would do to Katy Perry's Witness:
For remaining singles I'd probably throw out the title track, maybe with some remix from a rapper or something, but I doubt it would do anything as the era is basically done and the Katy Perry backlash is setting in hard. This is what I probably would've done if we could start the era over though:
1. Roulette (I don't think this would do GREAT, and it doesn't really sound like a first single, but it's the best choice for a first single on the album imo. Release a video for this a week or two into the run showing Katy with a darker; more grown up image, and have this set the tone for the era. Do not, I repeat DO NOT have her talk about purposeful pop.) 2. Bon Appetit (imo the main reason this flopped is because of how jarring it seemed coming off a song that went against everything this stood for. However I think this is easily the most current song of the album, at least out of what I've heard of it, and it's kind of crazy that they managed to make a tropical house song with Migos on it flop in 2017. Ideally the lyrics would be a bit less in your face, but as long as this isn't the first single or this isn't coming off all that purposeful pop shtick, I don't think they'll damage the song that much.) 3. Witness (this could be swapped out with any of the other ballads, but I think this is probably the most radio friendly of them. Go back to a more subdued note that lures in her fans that may have been alienated by Bon Appetit, but it's still dark enough that it fits in with the era and keeps people who are more interested in "dark Katy" engaged. 4. Chained to the Rhythm with a rent-a-rapper remix (so this is a weird situation, since while this is the most radio friendly song on the album and sounds most like the "old Katy," it also doesn't really fit in with the image she should be pushing at this point, and that message is likely to alienate some people no matter what. The solution? Release a remix with some rapper along with a big budget video that's a bit more "edgy" then her usual fare. Instead of showing a happy carnival that's a metaphor for everyday society, show Katy as an evil sorceress being a DJ for the club "Chained to the Rhythm" -- as she turns club patrons into zombies, whatever rapper is on the song busts in and attempts to free everuone while preforming their verse. A big battle scene ensues, and the rapper ends up barely escaping.) 5. Swish Swish (this could easily be swapped out for Hey Hey Hey or Miss You More, but this is easily the most memorable album track left at this point so they may as well give it the full single treatment. Do a video somewhat in the vein of LWYMMD, showing Katy as a dark ruler who crushes her foes, then get Nicki Minaj in there to continue the girl power.) 6. Hey Hey Hey (*only* if the first 5 singles do super well, however otherwise I would stop here to avoid overexposure. But in the unlikely case that this era is on par with Teenage Dream in terms of success, throw this out as the final single.)
Boom, Katy's flop era turns into a successful, current one. Imo the biggest mistake they made with the album was marketing -- I think the purposeful pop shtick got on a lot of people's nerves, and following that by releasing perhaps the most unpurposeful song Katy has ever released was a stupid, stupid move, only made worse by trying to push Swish Swish for such a long time and releasing that godawful video for it that turned the public against Katy even more. That being said, there admittedly aren't that many potential singles on the album either and this brand of bubblegum pop really hasn't done well in 2017 anyways.

Avril Lavigne - Let Go:
1. Complicated 2. Sk8er Boi 3. I’m With You 4. Anything But Ordinary 5. Things I’ll Never Say
Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin:

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing:
1. Girlfriend 2. When You’re Gone 3. Runaway 4. Innocence 5. One of Those Girls
This girl’s career has been PLAGUED with horrible single choices. She could’ve had so many more classic songs had her team not been so incompetent. My Happy Ending not being the lead single of UMS is the worst offender.
Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster (This is the most wasted era ever imo the whole EP could’ve been singles except Teeth) 1. Bad Romance 2. Telephone 3. Speechless 4. Dance In the Dark 5. Alejandro
Lady Gaga - Born This Way 1. Born This Way 2. The Edge of Glory 3. Marry the Night 4. You & I
Lady Gaga - Joanne 1. A-Yo 2. Million Reasons 3. Dancing In Circles
Katy Perry - Prism 1. Roar 2. Birthday 3. Dark Horse 4. Unconditionally
Katy Perry - Witness *shelve album and make new one*
Taylor Swift - Speak Now 1. Mine 2. Back to December 3. Mean 4. Enchanted 5. Sparks Fly
Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox 1. Locked Out of Heaven 2. When I Was Your Man 3. Treasure 4. Young Girls
Rihanna - Rated R 1. Rude Boy 2. Hard 3. Te Amo
Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway 1. Breakaway 2. Since U Been Gone 3. Behind These Hazel Eyes 4. Because of You 5. Gone (THIS SHOULDVE HAPPENED) 6. Walk Away

P!nk - I’m Not Dead 1. U + Ur Hand 2. Who Knew 3. Long Way to Happy 4. Leave Me Alone I’m Lonely 5. Dear Mr. President
Stupid Girls NEVER should’ve been an official single, let alone the lead. Almost cost her her US career, lmao.
P!nk - Funhouse 1. So What 2. Sober 3. Please Don’t Leave Me 4. Bad Influence (So annoyed Funhouse was chosen instead) 5. I Don’t Believe You 6. Glitter In the Air

Been listening to their songs for the last couple hours so:
Twenty One Pilots - Self Titled (if it were to get an actual push) 1. Fall Away 2. Johnny Boy 3. Air Catcher I love Addict With a Pen and I know it's a fan favorite, but I can't see it doing well on radio at all.
Twenty One Pilots - Vessel 1. Holding Onto You 2. Screen (they could stick with House of Gold if they want something safer, but I think this has the potential to be bigger then that) 3. Migraine 4. (Only if the first three singles do really well) Guns for Hands
Twenty One Pilots - Blurryface 1. Stressed Out 2. Ride 3. Doubt 4. Tear In My Heart 5. Lane Boy (with a radio edit that trims down the bridge) In this era proposal, Heathens would ideally be released about 6 months after Lane Boy peaks, to serve as a stopgap single between eras. However if Heathens HAD to be released in the middle of the era like it was irl, then I would release it fourth, bumping TIMH and LB down one. Also since six singles is a ton, LB wouldn't be released if Heathens also is, unless alt and/or CHR seem to clearly be interested in more singles.
And on an unrelated note:
Rihanna - ANTI 1. Work (for the record I don't think this is actually that good of a lead single, but it's probably the best choice there is and it smashed irl) 2. This is What You Came For/Kiss it Better to CHR/HAC, Needed Me to Rhythmic/Urban (okay here me out -- I don't think Kiss It Better would've bombed on pop if it weren't for a different pop single featuring Rihanna being released at the same time. Honestly I think TIWYCF served as the perfect stopgap single at this point, since Needed Me was taking off on its own but wasn't gonna do much on pop, however if in this universe that song didn't exist I would send KIB like originally planned. It was flying up pop before TIWYCF came along.) 3. Love on the Brain to CHR/HAC/UAC/Rhythmic, Sex With Me to Urban 4. Desperado 5. Kiss It Better (if not already released)
