I am a faithless Grammy observer. I think it has lost its prestige as an award. With that being said, I’m ecstatic that Ledisi has been recognized for her wonderful, soulful contributions to music. It’s just a little light of joy in this bleak time.

It’s extra sweet that an award came for Ledisi when she decided to go independent. I like her best when she’s inhabiting old soul for her contemporary songs. Hopefully the new release continues that sound!

Saw the Mahalia film on Hulu and her acting was good BUT a lot of the script was embellished. Mahalia was never a flamboyant dresser.
