Okay cool lol. Lahey used to be a member here, but he was banned for fighting with... well, everyone. He constantly thought people were throwing shade and having a go at him even when they weren't, until they actually kinda were 'cause he was just that difficult.

SONG #41: Kygo - Firestone (ft. Conrad Sewell)This song rode on the back of 'Start Again' to become a top 10 hit in Australia, but it didn't work out so well in the US when it was released there. I admit I haven't really been able to get into Kygo, I wasn't a fan of this, and I didn't like 'It Ain't Me' either. The one song I could've really gotten into (with Ellie Goulding) also tanked. But enough about Kygo, he's not even the Aussie in this scenario. Conrad has only reached the top 10 twice in Australia, and both of these songs have now been revealed in this rankdown. SONG #42: Chris Sorbello - So LonelyChris Sorbello's career as a recording act was quite short-lived. Released through dance label Ministry Of Sound, 'So Lonely' was Chris' first and only single. It was a top 10 on the local dance chart, but on the overall chart it barely scraped the top 40 and disappeared quickly. Honestly this song doesn't do much for me; the follow-up single 'Dangerzone' was vastly superior with a much better video, and that song wound up DOA. SONG #43: Iggy Azalea - Change Your Life (ft. T.I.)This single predated Iggy's commercial breakout outside the UK; while this became her first UK top 10 (and third consecutive top 20) it missed the top 40 in Australia and missed the Hot 100 altogether. This won't be the last you hear of Iggy either (and it will be as a lead act, not as a featured act). She has one more song coming up in this rankdown. SONG #44: Reigan Derry - All Of The PiecesReigan Derry has been nothing if not a determinator lol. She first tried out for Australian Idol in its 4th season and made it to the top 12, but departed in 11th place. Following the show she formed pop group Scarlett Belle with two other girls (Tamara Jaber and Hayley Aitken) and the trio were signed to Def Jam in the US. Before they could release any music however, the group was dropped and Hayley left. Reigan and Tamara continued as a duo in Australia (one of Scarlett Belle's songs is also coming up in this rankdown) but the group was short-lived and they split. Then, Reigan went in for The X Factor in its 6th season and placed 4th. Following this she began releasing solo material, with 'All Of The Pieces' serving as her debut single as a solo artist. SONG #45: Keith Urban - Without YouOkay so this song can be safely claimed as not being a big pop or Hot 100 hit in the US, lol. It was a #1 country hit, but peaked at #52 on the Hot 100 and did not appear on the year-end chart. Since country music doesn't have much of a presence at all on the main ARIA chart, Keith doesn't have many top 50 entries. This song managed to crack the top 40, as did one other song that is yet to come in this rankdown. IN THE NEXT REVEAL:Song #46: This song is somewhat infamous in that it caused a contestant on the debut season of The Voice AUS to be disqualified. ( From 2012) Song #47: It's an X Factor winner's single, and has also been ret-conned into being her debut single. ( From 2012) Song #48: Australian hip hop artist/rapper; the guest artist on this song came from The Voice but has since adopted a new stage name. ( From 2016) Song #49: His other song in this rankdown made no sense being here; but this one does. Also, the video is amazing and funny as hell. ( From 2010) Song #50: It's always The X Factor or The Voice isn't it... (this one's The Voice, and it's a winner's single). ( From 2012) Let me know if you want to be tagged in the reveals!

Re #46: I looked this up out of curiosity, and...how did this warrant disqualification? Surely, if someone like Paula DeAnda can go on The Voice US, then this shouldn't be a big deal.

Re #46: I looked this up out of curiosity, and...how did this warrant disqualification? Surely, if someone like Paula DeAnda can go on The Voice US, then this shouldn't be a big deal. It's not a matter of someone having previously been working in the industry coming on the show as a contestant; we've also had people compete on the show that had previously had hit records (Michael Paynter reaching the top 12 for example). I think there was just a specific set of circumstances around this particular contestant. I'm posting the reveal in a bit so I'll put my thoughts out there.

SONG #46: Guy Sebastian - GoldCarmen Smith had previously been working in the industry as a backing singer for Guy Sebastian, and she took the chance to put herself out there as her own artist by auditioning for The Voice AUS. She successfully made it onto the show, choosing Joel Madden's team. But she was disqualified at the top 24 stage thanks to this song. Her vocals are uncredited on the song, but she is prominently featured in the music video. I think it was the timing of the single, being an active chart release concurrently with The Voice. It was deemed that the increased visibility from featuring on 'Gold' would give her an unfair advantage over the other contestants and she was disqualified. I also wouldn't be surprised if part of it was because Guy was attached to The X Factor as a coach at the time (a rival show on a rival network). SONG #47: Samantha Jade - What You've Done To MeAustralian media hailed this song as Samantha Jade's debut single following her X Factor win, ignoring her previous two released singles under Jive Records in the 2000's (actual debut single 'Step Up' from the movie of the same name, and 'Turn Around') and one more independently-released single ('Secret'). This song debuted at #1 with two-and-a-bit days' worth of sales (with her winning the show on a Tuesday, giving her just a few hours on Tuesday night, plus Wednesday-Thursday). To date it is Samantha's biggest hit in Australia. SONG #48: Illy - Papercuts (ft. Vera Blue)I don't actually know how exactly this song got big, I just know that it was. I like it though, but what surprised me about it is the guest artist Vera Blue; it's the stage name adopted by Celia Pavey, third place runner-up from season 2 of The Voice. I hated her on the show, and I had no idea this was the same girl lol. SONG #49: Brian McFadden - Mistakes (ft. Delta Goodrem)'Just Say So' made no sense being here, but this song does. This is the second time Brian and Delta have collaborated on a single (the first being their #1 duet 'Almost Here'). This was the third single from Brian's 'Wall Of Soundz' album, and also the least successful. I love the music video (supposedly inspired by 'Mr & Mrs. Smith') because of the comedic sociopathy of destroying each other's stuff. Delta Goodrem serving bitch-face lol #YAS SONG #50: Karise Eden - You Won't Let Me'You Won't Let Me' is the debut single by Karise Eden, released as her winner's single as the first Voice AUS winner. It is a cover of a song by Rachael Yamagata (lol they got the contestants to write their own originals but couldn't get some pro songwriters to cobble together an original for the winner's single?) Also kinda amusing (at least to me) is that on the week of debut Karise had four out of the top 5 (the other being Sarah De Bono at #4 with 'Beautiful') and this got stuck at #5 behind everything else - her actual #1 that week was 'Stay With Me Baby', one of her cover performances from the final - and that song was literally #1 and done, falling off the next week. IN THE NEXT REVEAL:Song #51: This song was a top 10 in Australia, but a viral video couldn't help it in the US. ( From 2015) Song #52: First hit single from an Aussie rock band naming themselves after Japanese avians. ( From 2010) Song #53: Another Aussie rapper, with a mathematical stage name. The song features an artist already featured in this rankdown. ( From 2014) Song #54: This DJ has already been featured once in this game, and this is a single from her debut EP. ( From 2012) Song #55: A follow-up hit from a male X Factor winner. ( From 2012) Let me know if you want to be tagged in the reveals!

SONG #51: Iggy Azalea - Trouble (ft. Jennifer Hudson)After 'Beg For It' stalled out, 'Trouble' featuring Jennifer Hudson was released as the second single from Iggy's 'New Classic' re-release. The song didn't get very far in the US, despite a viral lip sync video giving it exposure (if I remember correctly, this is because the video went viral on Facebook, which doesn't count toward streaming). The song was more successful in Australia, where it reached the top 10. I don't recall it being promoted in Australia either so this was a surprise to me lol. SONG #52: Birds Of Tokyo - PlansBirds Of Tokyo scored their first hit single out of this song, which stopped short of the top 10. It was the second single from their third album (also their major label debut), and their first to reach the top 50. I seem to recall there were plans (lol) for this song to be released in the US but either it only went to alternative and I wasn't aware, or it never amounted to anything. SONG #53: 360 - Impossible (ft. Daniel Johns)I came across this song because of Daniel Johns (whose song 'Aerial Love' was previously revealed in this rankdown). 360 has had bigger hits in Australia but I chose this one a) because of the feature and b) because I quite like this song even though it's outside the realm of what I would normally listen to. SONG #54: Havana Brown - You'll Be Mine (ft. R3hab)While the 'We Run The Night' remix with Pitbull served as the lead single from Havana's 'When The Lights Go Out' EP in the US, Australia instead got 'You'll Be Mine' (as WRTN was already a top 5 hit in its original incarnation). At the time of its release 'You'll Be Mine' did not chart independently, with its chart run instead being credited to the EP. Follow-up single 'Big Banana' would later chart as a separate entity from the EP. SONG #55: Reece Mastin - Shut Up & Kiss MeI'm not much a fan of Reece Mastin, and this song almost got cut as I was whittling down the final song list. This is one of two Reece songs included in this rankdown (with his winner's single yet to come). Reece enjoyed a good amount of success for a couple of years following his win, but has since gone independent. IN THE NEXT REVEAL:Song #56: Before her massive international breakout, this was her first Australian top 20 hit. ( From 2010) Song #57: Oh, her again. It's another song from an X Factor winner. ( From 2013) Song #58: You might consider it a fiasco that this guy didn't make his US breakthrough with this song. ( From 2012) Song #59: A top 10 debut hit from a quirky and unconventional male popstar, possibly written about his (all but confirmed) ex-boyfriend. ( From 2014) Song #60: I could see guesses for this and #57 being the wrong way round, since this is also from a female X Factor winner. ( From 2013) Let me know if you want to be tagged in the reveals!

SONG #56: Sia - Clap Your HandsBefore Sia broke out internationally she was a relatively obscure indie pop singer with minimal commercial success. Things began to turn around with the release of her 5th studio album 'We Are Born' however; it scored her first top 50 appearance with 'You've Changed', and follow-up single 'Clap Your Hands' breached the top 20. The album itself became Sia's first top 10 appearance and bagged her two ARIA Awards. Then 'Titanium' happened... SONG #57: Samantha Jade - SoldierI was so into this song when it was released, and I still am. I'm just sad it wasn't a bigger hit for her. This song made the top 20, and was her second consecutive non-album single. It also, unfortunately, continued the downward trend of her peak positions with each successive release. SONG #58: Guy Sebastian - Battle Scars (ft. Lupe Fiasco)I always thought 'Art Of Love' with Jordin Sparks would have been Guy's first serious attempt to crack the US, so it surprised me that he did nothing with it stateside. Instead, this song was the one that was used to try and launch him - but it didn't quite take off. I believe it was a hit on Rhythmic radio (with Lupe credited as the lead artist and Guy as the featured credit, oddly enough) and it did chart on the Hot 100... at #71. It was a much bigger local hit however, becoming his 6th career #1 in Australia. SONG #59: Troye Sivan - Happy Little Pill'Happy Little Pill' was Troye Sivan's debut single, and the lead track from his major label debut EP 'TRXYE'. Thanks to sales of the EP, the song was able to reach the top 10 in Australia, and in the US it was also his first charting entry; sneaking in at the bottom of the chart at #92. Troye has said the song was written about a friend that was having a rough time; fans have speculated it to be about YouTube personality Connor Franta, whom Troye was friends with (and rumoured to be dating) due to Connor admitting that he'd been feeling depressed at the time. The timing is what led fans to the conclusion that this song was about Connor. SONG #60: Dami Im - Alive'Alive' is the debut winner's single from X Factor winner and Eurovision revelation Dami Im. As was typical of the airing schedule in relation to the chart week, the song had a very narrow window with which to sell enough to reach #1, and it succeeded (and was promptly replaced at #1 by runner-up Taylor Henderson's debut single). The song also found success in South Korea, Dami's birth country. IN THE NEXT REVEAL:Song #61: This dance artist fits in the OHW category; as this was her only hit, reaching the top 10. She had a string of hits on the dance chart however. ( From 2010) Song #62: Recorded for a promo spot; after she kicked the devil to the curb, but before she found the light. Pulse Eurovision Queen. ( From 2015) Song #63: This country artist has already been featured twice; this song was an Australian-exclusive single. ( From 2013) Song #64: He competed on both So You Think You Can Dance AUS and Australia's Got Talent. ( From 2012) Song #65: I've already stated that this song would be appearing in this rankdown. Think Arcade Fire. ( From 2012) Let me know if you want to be tagged in the reveals!
